I can feel the cold air when we make that turn in the beginning on those glorious winter days. Cannot express how lucky I was to experience this in person. THIS IS PERFECT!!!!
The monorail drive by and Horizons under construction is a nice touch. Amazing work.
The glory days of Epcot Center! How I miss it.
The old EPCOT Center dark rides were amazing. Spaceship Earth is still my favorite, and only remaining.
when they first opened in 1982 , my dad worked out there all summer before they opened
We rode on this on 31st December 1995, about 3 days before it closed. Got it on home video in pretty good quality.
Buddy Baker is an absolute legend may his music and creativity grace us all for eternity as he continues to rest peacefully
This is absolutely amazing, the only & the best virtual recreation of this attraction I’ve seen. You really put a lot of time and effort into this and I’m astonished how great this turned out.
Thanks for your help!
@@Futureport82 The nostalgia is overwhelming. Incredible work, really wild to feel that ride again.
Amazing!!! My entire family has watched it in tears of memory happiness...
Amazing. Would love to ride it in VR
I hope someday you will be able to model and render Journey to Imagination the first version of the ride.
Keep up the fantastic work !!! I'm really enjoying these videos !
This is obviously a labor of love. I can't tell you how grateful I am for your efforts. Fabulous recreation of a completely unique ride. Thank you.
I loved all of the details, textures, and lighting. The transitions between the scenes are very realistic and the effects of the speed tunnel are amazing!
I can't believe how well the speed tunnels worked.
This is amazing! It was my favorite ride as a kid. I was heartbroken when it closed. Thank you so much!
Unbelievable! This is amazing and obviously it’s just a ton of work and research. Really quite an accomplishment.
Bravo . it’s interesting that we all criticize the new Disney rides for utilizing screens so much, as if it was a new phenomenon…
Man.. I got goosebumps from this. EPCOT Center was a masterpiece. Which other attractions have this kind of dedication, lore and tributes? NONE. There is a reason for that.
Absolutely awesome! Brings me back to what I consider the glory days of Epcot.
I got to ride this one time back in the 80’s. Thanks for letting me experience it again!
Great to hear the legendary Gary Owens once again.
I loved laugh in when he was on there
I never knew about these spectacular projections at the end, must have been so amazing to see live.
This is a stunning accomplishment.
Rode this so many times over the years and I miss it, but this recaptures it perfectly! - thanks!
Never have I ever wished to have a VR headset....until I watched this. Amazing, thank you❤❤❤❤❤
Incredible work... and I God bless you for it! 🥰🙏💙👌🏼
Very much appreciated!! I agree that this is the absolute best virtual recreation of an attraction out there. Never seen anything quite this good, and it really helps us understand what the ride was probably like. Can’t even imagine how much work this took. We’re going to need to save all of our fave attractions this way lol. Nothing “rinky dinky” about this work. Just amazing and impressive results. Thanks!❤
Chills. This video gave me chills. Absolutely one of my top 5 memories from childhood. How did you get all those elements? I'm simply blown away.
Thank you so much for the work in putting this together. It was amazing to be able to tour this once more and remember some of the whimsical scenes once more. ❤️
Nice work! I always looked forward to this ride because my dad was a GM employee and we got to go to the lounge there for free drinks and to get out of the heat before the ride!
This is nuts. I had to keep rewatching parts and couldn’t figure out how this was so sharp and fluid. Excellent work
This is stunning! This is one of the rides I missed out on and wish I could have seen myself. Now I've had the best taste of it that I'll ever get!
You have outdone yourself. Brings back so many memories when I was a pre-teen, and teenager. Love your dedication.
Having never had the opportunity to ride this, you've done an amazing job. Thank You!
This is so incredible! Awesome Job! It makes me miss this attraction even more
What amazing work you so. I really appreciate the huge effort that went into this. Thank you for refreshing a core memory. 😊
The quality of this video is astounding! Thanks for the ride through history!
Awesome work. This closed years before I was born but it matches up well with the blurry videos I've seen. It feels like I'm actually on it!
Fabulous job! It makes my wife so happy to see all her work recreated for posterity!
(The last third of your version, starting with the speed tunnels, is actually cooler than the original!)
Was just saying last night how I wish I had the chance to ride this! Thank you!
If you did...you would NEVER think about visiting EPCOT now
As I posted below, we rode on this on 31st December 1995, about 3 days before it closed. Got it on home video in pretty good quality.
This is wonderful. Thank you for making this ❤️
It's such an amazing recreation, you guys did great.
Holy crap. I think I only got to ride this once or twice before it was demolished. I can scarcely remember it. This recreation is really, really great. Thank you!
I love how you have Horizons still under construction outside. :)
So incredible. I hope you keep going and do the rest of the defunct Epcot rides
I’ve said it before on Twitter. I really want to spend the day at your park. Incredible job! Thank you for all your dedication and hard work.
Really nice work. I remember this ride fondly and this is a top notch rendering of it.
Thank you so much for recreating this! I was 3 years old when this ride closed, so my memory is extremely fuzzy on this ride. But I love everything Epcot Center. What an amazing ride! Can’t wait to see everything else!
Terrific work! I’d like to see “if you had wings”
don’t give up on this very important project!
This kinda helped my mind I think. Because I couldn't remember the ride. I remembered getting into the vehicle, and going up and being wow'd at the sight of epcot from higher up and then..poof. blank. While I can remember Horizons clearly and Journey Into Imagination. I hope you can do that too!
I would love to see journey into imagination with dream finder.
Was about to comment the same
WHY! NOT! :D
And Horizons
@@ronimation Yup! Horizons as well. :)
Someone recreated it in VRChat and I rode through it. It was pretty cool, but in desperate need of an update
Absolutely amazing! You keep outdoing yourself
As someone who never got to ride the classic EPCOT Centre rides, this is amazing! Keep up the great work.
I’m sure I road this but remember very little about it. Thanks for the recreation.
You're a hero
OMG that is amazing, my favorite ride. The videos of the ride are unwatchable but this, AMAZING!! So sad it’s gone and replaced with test track.
World of Motion and Horizons , still in my opinion the best rides at DISNEY. Thankfully SpaceShip Earth and Living with the Land live on!!!
We need more stuff like this in a game where you can relive different years of Disney rides and make it in unreal engine 5 so it looks super real
Thank you for letting us younger fans experience this!!
I was so sad when I found out I’d never be able to experience this ride again. Getting rid of this was the beginning of the end ofthe old school feel of Disney.
Well, Guess What? This Attraction will Return in its Test Track Style
That's what I hear. We shall see
Takes me back to legendary Epcot! It makes me wonder how they will reimagine test track. I hope they add elements from this to incorporate the feeling of legendary Epcot.
just awesome, lot of effort, tks for the ride.
Amazing job with this! Would love to see this with virtual Horizons some day. Disney should turn the unused ride simulators from body wars pavilion into virtual rides like this, that no longer exist in the parks.
Great job! Brought back so many memories!
Now added to the 80’s playlist 👍
Now thats classic epcot if i do say myself.
Seriously jaw-dropping work. Bravo.
This Atraction Was .. SO .. COOL .. Because .. Ward Kimbal .. Worked On It !
I miss this attraction
this is wonderful, really beautiful. thanks for everything you are doing
This is incredible!
This is incredible
It's exactly the way I remember it.
Always wonderful work!
Phenomenal work!!!
I’m having flashbacks… the good kind!
I would absolutely love to see one for horizons
Me too! This was an amazing job, well done!
Spectacular, fantastic, amazing, and every synonymous word that can describe it. Seriously impressive work. Thank you for sharing. ❤
This gives me much more appreciation for than I had surfing through old videos! I always felt this pavilion accomplishes better what the IYHW/DD rides were trying to do: reflect on the technology involved in international travel/goods supply. I still think this pavilion had some problems thematically filling as much as say, the Life or Land pavilions. Boats, cars, trains, airplanes, that's pretty much it regarding transportation. Commissioning Ward Kimball to go nuts really boosts the ride through containing some of the most entertaining dioramas in all of Epcot! But the Motion pavilion has always been the biggest thinker for me. The evolution of it isn't so cut and dried for original and current incarnations and honestly I feel Motion hasn't ever reached its full potential as an attraction as of yet. I'm most critical of this pavilion's original incarnation of all the pavilions. And weighing the beneficial ideas of the various incarnations of the Motion pavilion is more stimulating of an activity than for any other Epcot pavilion.
this would be awesome in vr. I've always wanted to see someone/a team recreate old lost disney rides for vr viewing, so we can all experience them in full immersion. If I knew how to use engines I would have definitely loved to be involved in a project like that.
Wonderful work, I just subscribed to your channel. I said this before on Twitter but this is the future of preserving old theme park attractions. Amazing work.
I remember riding this with My Mom.
I would much have preferred this over Test Track. (I was not impressed with both versions, just not that much of a car person)
I've been wanting digital preservation of the rides like this. Well done!
Amazingly accurate and realistic
We went on this ride in 1994 & again in 1996
Holy Moley! This is amazing work!
Thanks Paul!
This is awesome! please make more of these for stuff like Horizon's or the original Figment ride!
Absolutely insane!! I'm so impressed! Thank you! Very well done!
This is a work of art. The love and attention to detail that went into this is self evident. Wow.
Well done and thank you. Is there a patreon or something so we can support this?
All I can think is we need to find some way to get this thing onto the Vision Pro
This is amazing
Nicely done! Great job.
This is so good. Nice job.
Guess what? Test Track is closing for refurbishment on June 17th, and the refurbishment will be inspired by World of Motion. That news inspired me to watch those World of Motion videos despite being born in July 1995, when the ride closed forever in January 1996.
0:57 Also this design looks way more amazing then that gaint cover Test Track has i hope that bring that design back
This is awesome. Loved it
So I understand the Tron music substitution is probably due to potential copyright infringement. I'm not sure I understand why the musicians were left off the dock next to the steamboat, and the stagecoach scene was axed.
We decided we'd rather have a new speed tunnel-esque scene instead of the Native American attack, and we're happy with the results.
Interesting. Obviously nothing like the real experience, but that was hard to shoot with any quality. Other than the original version of Universe of Energy, that lasted longer, I think I miss World of Motion the next most. I first experienced it in January of 1987, barely 4 years after Epcot opened. I grew up in Michigan where a lot of people were into cars, but I’ve always been into transportation in all forms as well as history. So WOM was right up my alley. It always had so many animatronics. Think it held the record in fact. And I was always curious to see the VIP lounge that GM had there, as well as the new cars after you exited. Definitely wish this ride was back. Never have really enjoyed Test Track. Experiencing Epcot those first 5-6 years it was open though in the 80’s was truly an amazing thing. So much promise for the future. I not only had so much fun as a kid, but I learned so much too. Something Epcot is now lacking I feel, in favor of a million Disney I.P.’s. It also was a great intro to other cultures for me as a kid. Something that really had a huge effect on me, and led me to travel around the world as an adult, and even serve as an ambassador of sorts at times for the U.S. through some groups I’ve been associated with. World Showcase to me today seems very stereotypical and basic, but for little kids I think it’s still a decent intro. I only wish they’d have added more countries like they originally intended. Like Spain, Switzerland, sub-Saharan Africa, Russia, and Israel.
Bringing this ride back but updating to the times would have been beter, because some people dont like roller coasters. The roller coasters take away from the educational and fun part of Epcot. Epcot has changed so much I miss the old Epcot.😔
Wow. Nice job. Looks amazing.
Amazing
I know this is a recreation of 82 but man do I just want a recreation of Horizons in here
super job
Great job.
Awesome work even though your missing the centaur during the chariot scene
I asked my followers and other Disney folk if anyone could explain the joke, and the results were either 1. this isn't funny or 2. this is really creepy, so I didn't add the Centaur.
@@Futureport82 lol 😆 got ya!!! I guess some people get scared way to easy.
@@Futureport82 That's a shame. That was actually one of my favorite jokes. It's a classic Marc Davis gag.
I know we probably would never get a ride with so many animatronics anymore, and in some cases they're maybe not needed. But how about an actual LONG ride. I know they want high capacity rides, but this is a constantly moving one so it works. Spaceship Earth, Horizons, Universe of Energy... you get a relaxing ride that isn't just sight seeing. I can't think of any new one beyond maybe Rise of the Resistance that lets you spend a lot of time on that ride.
You forgot the stagecoach scene that’s supposed to be at 6:28!
Other than that, good job.
During development, I decided to ask my animator Mike Ryan if he wanted a space there instead of the Stagecoach scene, and I'm very happy with the results.
HOLY SHIT!
