Genuine question (& I hope this comes across as elegantly as possible); is there a reason Nigerian influencers rather do a/n (unpaid) haul for a tails end EU/US brand than spending an equal amount of money on a quality Nigerian/African brand? Is it for more visibility in a certain region for your platform or do you genuinely love these mediocre international brands? Because I understand the impact on visibility/reach for putting an international brand name on a title but I’m struggling to understand the compromise in quality.

I have a video on my channel dedicated to elegant dresses I got from a Nigerian brand, however I’ve found out that when it comes to basics, not a lot of Nigerian brands focus on that because the Nigerian style is a lot more glam. Also, i wouldn’t have been able to spend a 196 usd on a quality local brand and gotten this number of items. I hope it gives you some clarity. Your opening statement does put everyone in one bucket which isn’t the case as people purchase items for various reasons.

the smallest sizes usually work for me and sometimes they're too big. I'm usually a UK 6 for tops and dresses, but UK 8 for bottoms alththough I always need to alter the waist

Put the pleated skirt in on cool wash low spin in washing machine then hang it by the waistband to dry the pleates will stay in 🥰
