Not a statue...He should have a giant memorial like Lincoln has.

I created a bronze monument to Stevens in 2008. It stands more than life size at the Thaddeus Stevens College in Lancaster PA.
He now has one in Gettysburg! It was erected in 2022.
Stevens WROTE and convinced Lincoln to pass the 13, 14, 15th Amendments. He was an extraordinary man. He is well worth the Rediscover.

Lincoln was dead when they were passed. Lincoln would not have supported his vindictive reconstruction policies.
Stevens was prescient. I can't believe how few views this has.

What a legendary hero and I agree that Africans should be treated equally and his feeling of Johnson being accquited which pissed him off. Johnson really deserved to be impeached
