There are settings for dim, or to have it change brightness when the headlights are turned on. Each radio manufacturer (Rhino, Linkswell, AuCar and the ones from the chinese websites are slightly different.)
The only thing I’m having a problem with is I have no hazards also it sometimes doesn’t turn on I have to cycle the key on and of to get it to come on..
@@richardmartin321 I just got mine yesterday and am having a difficult time installing it without instructions. Any tips you can pass on? Im starting to regret this purchase already. I emailed the seller for instructions but no reply yet. Any help would be great!
I have a few specific questions: 1) Did you have to splice into your speakers? I have no sound. I can see the graphic equalizer dancing so i know its receiving input but no out put. 2) My backup camera worked only once, then the whole screen displays the "please check surrounding for safety". I have NOT spliced any wires yet, i have only connected the plugs. If it needs a special connector as you installed to get your camera to work, I don't know why mine would work the very first time. 3) Does your unit stay on after you turn the vehicle off? My screen appears to turn off but it is actually on it is just very difficult to see, but finally turn off after a few minutes. Does yours do that?
@@DM-lh3qo What vehicle did you install it it? Some are different. For my F350, it was plug and play. All the oem connectors had one place to go on the radio and then everything worked. I didn't use the microphone, some extra audio/video out (I don't have video monitors in headrests.) My backup had the "traditional" yellow RCA type female plug on the radio/just plugged in the camera wire and works when shifted in reverse. Unit does not stay on/but some models have a setting to set length it stays on/might need changing?
I purchased a backup camera reroute cable. It splices into the factory display at the mirror and then a cable with an RCA plug (male) is run under the headliner, down the a-pod and behind the glovebox to the radio.
To me-much better than the oem system. But-I had a AM/FM single CD (I had also added a small 8-inch powered sub.) Then I added 4 Infinity Primus speakers and some tweeters for the front door sail panels. The radio puts out 4X45watts, that's also better than stock.

Sir does the radio have the option to dim? That looks like quite a bit of light for night time driving

Did your stereo come with installation instructions?
Absolutely none! Mine is AuCar - but it's the same with many of the others.

@@DM-lh3qo What type/or where did you get your camera. I found a generic owner's manual I can send you.
How did you splice the backup camera?
I purchased a backup camera reroute cable. It splices into the factory display at the mirror and then a cable with an RCA plug (male) is run under the headliner, down the a-pod and behind the glovebox to the radio.
Hows sound quality?

Where you buying?
I ended up buying from All Out Industries. They sell an Aucar unit that is already optioned out and fit for 2011-2016 Ford F250/F350.
Must no longer be sold?
