Best distortion/Boost-Pedal I've ever bought. The boost let shine your cleans and adds clearness instead of destroying it. The plexi-side gives you everything from nice breakup to full and warm distortion.
i ve played carl's martin plexitone (black old version pedal) it was pretty nice, plus it has boost feature with adjusteble gain. but it was more gainy and evil
Awesome. Keep an eye out as we did some other carl martin pedals which are higher gain. Although I'm inspired to play with way less gain now, this pedal was awesome!
Hey Sam, I still remember you from the Rusty Cooley forum from way back when :)) I am happy to see that you are still active and looks like you are doing good :)) Keep rockin' \m/ \m/
So, basically the Boost is pre-gain, and you will not get a "volume" increase at all, more like a mids-color boost when stacked, but not volume per se, am I correct?
Great work guys. I think this pedal in Production, is made in China. Can you confirm? All the pics on the CM site say "Designed in Denmark" now, not Handmade in Denmark as yours did. Thanks again!
I'd imagine so, this was filmed back in August 2020, the guys at CM were keen for us to demo it as it was brand new, so its possible we have a handmade one...not sure about how they go about manufacturing for production models, I'm sorry. Thanks for stopping by!
16 minutes with you both taking turns and I barely heard a chord played, but for a single strum at the end of fast lead run after fast lead run. Please give us some rhythm as well. Also, helpful to give us your foundation tone without pedal engaged several times throughout demo for reference. Thanks.
Apologies! I haven't seen Jack in years and I'm not sure what chords are for? Thanks for watching though and the feedback! If I could send your time back to you, I would! have a great week and stay safe.
Guys I still don't know how this pedal sounds.... Lead playing is great but you need to play chords to hear the true characteristic of the pedal. And at different levels of gain
Ah! So sorry dude. I don't think we knew any chords that day! We got so carried away with how fun the pedal was to play, we had a great time. You should try one! There is a part 2 to this video which we talk more about playing than the pedal, I think Jack plays a G chord and I think I went for a power chord, but it might have been an accident. Jack does a nice demonstration in this video when he talks about about pick attack and dynamics, the Plexi Ranger works really well with this (cleans up with a lighter attack and barks when you hit it). So its safe to say that this pedal has brilliant clarity for classic rock style chord stabs and rolling back the volume for more complex voicing to sizzle through. The guys from Carl Martin seemed pretty cool with how it sounded on the day. I'll keep an eye out when editing the 2nd version of this clip for chords...although I can't promise anything! Thanks for the kind words & feedback. Have a great day! All the Love.
@@SamBellGuitar LMAO. Hilarious response... Yes I'm looking for the nice crunchy chords but still with clarity. Thanks for indulging me. I'll keep on the look out for part 2. Cheers
Guitar Gods! 🙌 And somehow still the most kind human beings! 😍 Superstars man
Also Jesus that thumbnail 👌👌😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
Dude! Thank you man, looking forward to editing our clips, you're a legend dude! ❤
Such a great video! Awesome product and the way you showed it. 2 of my absolute favourite players in one room 🤟

So cool to see both of you together!! That's some serious talent in one room!
Jack is the man! I'm just a student in comparison!
Its great to see two amazing guitar playing together \m/
Amazing playing
Two amazing players right there. A joy to watch
That thumbnail 😂 great video lads
Cheers man! Looking forward to your videos!
Love both these guys. Absolute monsters on the guitar!!
That sounds so aggressive yet clean!?!?. That paul gilbert snarl is right on the money
We had the gain pulled back a lot and we dug in quite a bit! This pedal did the classic PG sound very well!
Amazing playing! Jack you should get yourself some P90s...
I agree, Jack with P90s is magic.
That Maybach is beautiful, sonically and aesthetically. Awesome work chaps!
Thanks guys nice job :-)
Cheers!!

„Would you subscribe to a channel having only watched one video?“ „if it’s this one, the answer is yes.“
Thank you! 🙏
The Plexi section Is the same of plexitone single channel?
Never liked the P90...ever..and then, Jack plays it..now I absolutely love it!!
Hes the man!
Take it just passed the edge of break up then Booooost it!

Yeah I think so. It's been a while.

@@SamBellGuitar Good stuff for certain, sounds great, and great playing guys! Thanks!
At 4:08 I don't know why...but the word creepy popped into my head.
Am I correct that this pedal attempts to combine a Marshall Plexi with a Range Master type of treble booster in one pedal?
Yes, you are correct.

Sam Bell Guitar Well thanks for the reply, which gave me a big smile.
That sounded awesome! 😀👌 i'm thinking of maybe this one or the plexitone pedal. Thinking this sounds almost as that one but maybe more tweakable? 🤔
Hi Glenn, thanks! yeah the Plexi Ranger is basically more tweakable, there's so many ways this can be used.
