At first, Cas was a bit of a jerk to Sam but as the series progresses, the two become best friends so much so that Dean no longer let them both work together since they made a mess. It's one of the most underrated friendships in the series.
Okay, so. Sam and Dean are brothers, Dean is four years older than Sam. Their Mum, Mary Winchester, died when Sam was 6 months old and Dean was 4 yrs old. This sent their family down the road of Hunting monsters because their Dad, John Winchester, wanted to avenge his wife. When their Mum was killed by a Demon, it bled into Sam's mouth and 22 years later powers started to manifest in him. At the end of S11 Mary was brought back to life, but she and Sam didn't really connect. She then went missing, and later died again. When Sam is seen drinking blood, it is Demon Blood and it made him able to use his powers to a fuller extent (he was later told he could use them without it, but they never ended up going down that road much to my annoyance...) and it became an addiction. The only people in this that are actually related by blood are Sam, Dean, John and Mary. The boys and their parents. Everyone else is found family. There's Bobby Singer who became a surrogate father to them as John was a shitty Dad. Charlie, the redhead, was someone they met on a Hunt and she became like a sister to them. Then there's Jody Mills, the dark haired woman, they met her on a Hunt too and she lost her husband and son (very traumatic) and she too became family to them. There's Claire Novak, the younger blonde, she was the daughter of Castiel's Vessel and years after meeting her for the first time we saw her again and she ended up living with Jody. Alex Jones the other dark haired girl was taken by vampires when she was a kid and used as a lure and blood bag for them until the Winchesters and Jody saved her and Jody took her in. Donna Hanscum is the other blonde woman and she was someone they also met on a Hunt who became like family. (Jody, Donna, Claire and Alex are the ones often seen together... They were supposed to have a spinoff, but it didn't get picked up because the CW would rather keep Riverdale going because they're idiots...) And there's Crowley, the King of Hell who was very much a frenemy to the boys... The Actor you recognise is Mark Pellegrino. In this he played Lucifer. You likely know him from 13 Reasons Why, where he played Alex's Dad, Deputy Standall. Although it comes across very centred around the supernatural aspects, the real focus of this show is the family aspect. That's the big reason most of us watch it. Haha You should react to some Cast stuff as they're hilarious.

Their panels are notoriously chaotic, the long haired one is Jared Padalecki who plays Sam and the short haired is Jensen Ackles who plays Dean, the two brothers and main characters of the show, they've been best friends for over 15 years now since the show started, just for a bit of context!
