I agree they are beautiful to listen to but you want your imagination to run wild come walking out of the woods in the evening when you can't see them but you are surrounded by them... We have them in Wisconsin & they have hugely grown in population...
@@richarddworczyk6372 Wild stuff. I spent time in north dakota some years ago and coyotes chased a mountain lion on the roof of my house at 3:00 am. That was scary what I heard. Really scary. Like a mob out to kill. I think it gor away but I saw a hundred paw prints the next day. And some large lion prints.
@soflodoug Yes you realize you can easily be 2nd in line on the food chain list especially with cats ... We have cats here also but few & far between but it was gun deer season here which is a huge 9 day tradition so first weekend I always hunted with a bunch of friends and I will never forget we had like 360 acres with ATV trails cut we hunted & my tough guy buddy decided I'm leaving in front of all of us down one of the main trail going to the back property at like 5 am well 15 mins later 5 of us left his way & we found him waiting for us shaking on the trail in the tall grass swamp area because a big cat was stalking him in pitch black no moon darkness... That was the same day we had at least 20 plus coyotes run thru the land just yipping away in the evening so it was a pretty scary walk out that evening...
I love wolves, but very aware of their danger. As a young girl, Mom & Dad took us camping every year. I remember laying in our sleeping bags in the tent (campground) listening to howling at night. I loved it. The park rangers always patrolled and kept us campers safe. I loved it
you're an amazing person, love your independent spirit. you've done an incredible job not just preserving the cabin, but awesome touches with furniture and decor ❤. It looks so amazing 😊
Watching your videos brings me back to the years I spent in Alaska. People in the lower 48 have no clue as to how wild it is up north. Humans are down around number 3 or 4 on the food chain! During the four years I was stationed at Eielson AFB, I learned so much about hunting, fishing, and being a woodsman. There's nothing like sitting in a hot spring pool at Chena Hot Springs when it's -30 watching the northern lights overhead.
@@danielleterry2331 It is beautiful. People get freaked out by the cold and darkness of the interior of Alaska. I learned that you can't allow those things to run your life. You have to embrace those things, get out and live in the beauty of Alaska.
New subscriber…have been binge watching your videos! I live in West Texas and enjoying seeing the cool weather and all the green vegetation. I am a retired 72 year old widow and love watching you do all the work around your place and wish I still had the strength to do it. My husband was a Texas Game Warden and I had many adventures in the wild.
You are just like me! I love trout! I giggle too when I catch them! Salmon, salmon, salmon is all anyone talks about here, however, first spawners up the Klamath in a 100 hundred years as a result of the dam removal projects. YaaY! My Grandaddy built the AlCAN Hwy! What an incredible accomplishment. Yes, amazing people in Alaska. Do you use mosquito repellent at all? I use non toxic stick ons, which I really like. Peel them off when I'm done and nothing on my skin. Yes, have come face to face with MaMa black bear & cub. right out my back door in Northern California, Del Norte County. I always pack when foraging.
Glad to see your video….but not the mosquitoes! Just another adjustment to living in Alaska! You are a real trooper, someone to admire, and wishing you all the best, Alone! Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻
You are a unique and amazing Gal living out there all alone and with all the skills you have. Very interesting! Thank you for answering my question about are you packing a gun while out camping….So glad you are and are a wise woman never leaving your home without it!
I enjoy the woods & nature & being out doors immensely myself.. Your views are absolutely spectacular along with the wildlife that roams.. 😊 I have been wanting to go visit Alaska and see different areas of Alaska.. I rough it now more then others would care to think about. There is a sense of accomplishments when one goes through the process of building by hand or making something with ones hands & mind.. 😊😊😊😊 Building something with no tape measure and it works well is really cool.. I could die a happy man in Alaska... Could you talk about how much land taxes are for an acre of land in Alaska or taxes on five acres. When ever I watch your video's, My spirit & mind is right there with you, living out there .😊 Harvey - Man in a cabin, in northern Arizona..
Hope you're doing well alone. Yes I've been on your journey a little bit after you started your channel. From different pictures to different names you know who I am. At one time I was Black Friday. Love you and kenai.❤
Wow that wolf audio was spooky. I love these types of videos. You are a wealth of knowledge. Thank you. Look forward to the live stream. All the best to you.
Hi Alone, i looove your video! I enjoyed the wolves song and I am happy about all your gifts you got. Sending you love and best wishes from very hot Italy.❤🎉
I like that person too 👍🏼 🇺🇸 great gifts! So thoughtful of the senders ❤ love going along on your journey ❤ I don’t leave comment a lot but I’m wearing that like button out ❤
A 2 week internship or workshop would get you a years worth of split wood, the brush cut, repairs, and more. Hosting work campers would get you tons of work in a barter situation.
The sound quality on the wolf pack came through really good on the video! I have enjoyed your home steading journey just about from the start. Keep up the great story telling.
black bears are pretty timid. grizzly bears are another story. the sounds of the wolves was wonderful. i live in northern ontario in the summer. i have ran into black bears and wolves and moose many times while in the bush. i have never had a problem with them. good for you for following your dreams and living in the north. i also love the north. i don't like winter so i go to florida then, but my heart is always in the north.
I'm in Oregon and past two yrs have had enormous amounts of Nats. Finding temp changes causing our fruits to not last long I keep vinegar and cloves in warming pot helps some
Great video! I love seeing all the scenery. Yikes, the wolves would give me a big scare. I guess I've seen too many movies, lol. Thank you for sharing.
Living in northern Mn, I have given up on Bell Peppers! I have started planting smaller types of sweet peppers, as they seem to mature faster! However, I do plant plenty of hot peppers! As most are diminutive in Sz, they flourish!
I enjoy watching you show the gifts you receive...its like Christmas morning and so much fun to see what you get. Thanks for sharing that with us. It also gives me ideas of interesting books to read. Love watching your channel!
Here in WNC I have 11-4x8’ raised beds. They feed most of my vegetable intake for the year. You are doing a great job in a mostly unforgiving landscape, but you seem to be conquering most😄
Wow alone my daughter is also allergic to eggs its a struggle if you have any advice please share.❤ Absoluutly love your local friend im so happy you have them it makes my heart so so happy
I think you could put some hydroponic rafts out on the pond that doesn't have any fish in it. You'd probably need to put chicken wire over the top to protect the plants though.
Wow, that view and the sound of those wolves has got to be intoxicating. I would give just about anything to be able to move up there. Lots of envy from the Tarheel state. 😌
I prefer Trout and went up to missouri to fish for trout 3 years ago, I live a mile from a large lake and my brother took me with him when he put out catfish lines but I didn’t catch anything , I also enjoy bluegills.
Hi you are so interesting. How you choose to leave hard fast society. For a much different way of life. I’m Apostolic Pentecostal have been most of my life. I too am in this world but not of this world, just passing through. I’m 72 in great health been married 54 years to my one any only soldier boy. Alaska is beautiful be safe and keep the videos coming ♥️

Those little dishes are called Rarebits typically. I see yours are designed for easy pouring out of the contents, so maybe could be called Gravy boats too. Ironically I’m a restaurant supplier of China/Glass, all equipment 😃
Dr Bens evictor conc cedar oil or other cedar oil in a vaporizer on the front porch or near you is amazing for getting rid of clouds of mosquitos!! Safe for pets and wildlife but not fish.. Oh... Fish in the pond would help immensely!!
I had only had halibut after moving to Alaska and was surprised at how versatile of a fish it is to cook with. No real flavors to impart on a dish. Love it! 🤗🐺💛
I will send you my share... just kidding. I do like moose meat though. While in the deer family, it tastes nothing like venison. And I eat reindeer at least once a week. It is really good too! 🤗
I would seriously consider building an electric fence around the perimeter of your property. Something like 8 strands of 12.5 gauge high tensile wire will "turn" virtually everything. The fence just needs to be engineered properly (good grounding, proper wire spacing, etc.) and use a high end energizer. It is surprisingly inexpensive. 2024 technology and so much easier to maintain. You can get units that attach to your fence that will sound alarms, units that send a text message to your phone if voltage drops below a certain level (a tree falls over the fence, etc). They provide a lot of peace of mind. One thing...they won't be operable in snow. As for chickens, ducks, they are a magnet for every predator known to man. Just saying.
Thanks for the videos, your a real inspiration for so many of us who are still caught up in the rat race of life!!!😊
The wolves howling is super cool. i like it. Lets your imagination run wild. The wolves also add a romantic cozy feeling.

That is the most beautiful place But as soon as those wolves started woofing….😱🏃🏾♀️➡️🏃🏾♀️➡️🏃🏾♀️➡️🏃🏾♀️➡️🏃🏾♀️➡️
Love your flag!!!
They are telling their friends we have a lady and large dog.
Wolves will surround your home and wait for Kenai and you to be alone. Be careful😮
