Levi left Russia at the age of 1 or 2 years old according to his interview on levitov chess so how he can be considered like a 100% Russian person? I think more fair to say he's bilingual isn't?
@@happyrabbit7944 There are so many things wrong with your comment lol
Levy: "How much to chessbox?"
Fabi: "10 million"
Nepo: "I'd beat someone's ass for free, what are you talking about?"

I paraphrased but that's the gist
Not joking, if Nepo trains in like MMA or something which is now popular... He will hit 2850 and sweep Ding... I'm dead serious ...
@@ordro107 lmao the mma training would take too much time away from chess
Nepo's hilarious. "It wouldn't cost that much to get me to chessbox. I've been practicing boxing for cardio, and beating people up is fun. Maybe if I liked them, it would cost a bit more."

That was an innuendo to not offending Jews

This interview is the reason why I think Levy should bring his podcast back.
you couldn't have finished yet 💀 yall yapping
The podcast was and will always be my favorite GC content
These are podcast. Just not in a classic podcast setting
Kabir is talking specifically about the podcast he has on this very channel. Yeah this is "a" podcast, but we're very identically discussing one actual Podcast that currently exists. By the same guy.
I disagree
Ian is super chill. The first time that levy is not wearing a full suit😂😂
Yeah, he's the reason I've gotten into watching chess. I was so amazed by his performance at dota caster's stream, where he was blindfolded agains 5 (or 4) newbie players.
Every time Nepo answers he always humble himself and acknowledges his mistakes or his shortcomings, he also keeps on empathizing with Ding . This man is truly a gentleman i'm glad i'm a fan
Don't Worry Once He Wins 😂 His EGO will be through the Roof and would happily Spit on You
I had never heard him talk but somehow it was clear to me.

Damn I can't believe our favorite IM youtuber Ian Rozeman is interviewing Magnus Nepomniachtchi two time challenger
Extremely rare footage of Levy not mentioning Cagnus Marlsen in a video
8:30 lol (oh you said Cagnus, my bad)
Not true, he mentioned the goat quite a few times
Why’d you have to spell his name like that 😂😂😂
Spot on!! 😂
"It's the process of hurting someone" I nearly fell off my chair laughing. He not only wants to win, he also wants to hurt someone in chess boxing. Great interview! I enjoyed more than the Magnus one. His decency and honesty are so clearly evident!
I died when he corrected Levy. "No no no no, the process of hurting someone..."
Credit to Ian for proving all the critics wrong 💪
Do you come from the future?
he's already proven them both wrong and right twice
It’s not over yet.

😂😂😂
3 years old already. You can't think of anything by yourself? You have to repeat what comments someone else created in hopes to get likes? It's played out 700 times a video
ok this one was actually funny
😏
Old joke
Fun fact, Nepo was also playing Dota professionaly, even got a win against 1st international -NAVI. He had Frostnova nickname. He also commented couple of matches on Starladder as an play-by-play commentator(searchable in UA-cam)
amazing
, thank you
Thanks
I’m rooting for Ian, seems like a chill and humble guy. Feel bad that he’s been through so much. Hope he wins the Candidates and the World Championship!
Levy catching these GMs like Pokémon
My money is on Nepo. I would also be happy if Fabi wins as he is a class act. I feel like Nepo is the most naturally talented chess player in the field but he loses patience or has anxiety sometimes and loses. He has proved many times that his best is better than everyone.
Ian will be tough to beat because he wins games, frankly. Maybe his chance of losing a game is higher than Fabi's chance, but Ian's chance of winning a game is quite a bit higher than Fabi's. Fabi has only won one game, and the position was nearly equal
@@fangiscool1 I also feel the same in regards to Nepo. His ceiling is really high but his floor can be low sometimes. Also I love the Indians. They seem like such good boys but I think they are not seasoned enough to take down the likes of these 2. But the future of chess is looking real bright with people like them.
Fabi could've well won against Naka and Gukesh - he let the games slip at a certain point. But it's clear he is always the one putting pressure for a win against any opponent, and if he finds the rhythm, he will win games. On the other hand, he's the only one who can finish the tournament undefeated. The man is just too hard to break. Nepo is very dangerous (well prepared and experienced), but he's unstable and might well lose a couple of game in a bad streak.
Nepo has great days, Caruana is well balanced, but I believe Nodirbek will overtake the rest in 2 or 4 years.
I just loved seeing Nepo forcing himself to triple-check the winning sequence of moves against Vidit and not blitz it instantly. It’s a good sign to me.
We need the drunk Nepo vs. Levy match fr
Yeah, with Nepo in his bartender waistcoat 😂
looking back, I think Ian deserves to be world champion even though I've routed for the opposite side both times, dude is always dominating in the candidates and still is, wish him the absolute best
Tbh everybody rooted for Ding as well. The last championship was extremely hard in terms of choosing your favorite cause Ding is among the most humble guys on earth and i strongly rooted for Nepo every turnament before that. At the end, i wanted nobody to win bc i knew that it would hurt more seeing the other one loose than feeling good for the winner. And the last game proofed me right i guess
Besides being an insane player, he looks a very calm and great person. I am very happy to watch his fandom getting bigger and bigger.
Best wishes for him
My favorite player. Cant wait to see how he wins candidates once more and gets his well deserved crown in the championships
Was going for Ding in WCC but man Nepo for sure to win the candidates and maybe avenge his loss to ding if that happens il be going for Ding but you g9t this Nepo just a fan from New Zealand

There was no controversy. Ian is a great guy.

i LOVE how Levy lets the other person talk. I have never once see him take the talking stage away from anyone. As normal as that sounds, a lot of interviews get lost because of overtalking or cutting the other person off. This is chill, smart and insightful. Wonderful job, Levy. Huge respect. Ian, kudos and all the best. Bring it home!

I do have to say that what Ian has accomplished is criminally underrated. It takes serious fortitude and persistence to do what he's done and doing*. Idc that he didn't win the world championship I have a ton of respect for Ian as a competitor.
It's insightful to hear from Grandmaster Yan and his experience in these competitions. Appreciated his openness about the physical and mental toll of such high-stakes games.
It's insightful to receive a comment from Artificial Intelligence. Such a thoughtful response to the video, totally not fabricated

Levy get your podcast channel active, your interviews Are great
OMGGGG thank you for giving my Nepo an interview
Hey Gotham! Congrats on the big interview! Great job! If you could do anything to improve I would suggest being more direct in your questioning so there isn't a ramble of him just talking. For example you asked the difference between first and 2nd candidates, that's pretty open ended and he went on and on . Instead you could have asked about his first candidates and more specifically most difficult opponents, specific positions. Then switch to 2nd... then ask about a comparison.. also, some opening questioning about how they got started in chess, their favorite foods, how much time do they spend preparing for the candidates? Does he have any special regimes when training for chess matches? He spoke a little about it but we really could have gotten a better look into how much they prepare. Need any help reach out!
