I’ve honestly been loving the 3D print stuff so much I used to watch a ton of Seth but then kind of fell off and this content has brought me right back
These Collab vids are fire! 🔥 I watch both Retro Rick and Braille. Stoked for you bud. These shoes seem a million miles away from the previous videos I saw. I wasn't expecting something so well made. Not slating you, but maybe I missed some videos. These were a million times better. I can't wait to see where you take this.
When Rick started his videos, I used Braille's vlog format as some inspiration toward the production value we were aiming for. I love watching these worlds collide...
It's really awesome to watch big youtubers from different genres to collaborate and create sick content....I've been following both of you on UA-cam for quite some time and this collaboration came as a very pleasant surprise. Keep these bangers videos comin 🔥
One day he's your college roommate, the next hes collabing with your favorite skateboarding channel; life is wild. Not surprised youre out here killing it dude, keep on chasing the dream!
I've been watching both channels for a while now & this was like my world's collide. Love the content keep it up. From someone who's been into shoes & skateboarding for 10yrs id say u should go back to the drawing board with that same shoe & try to improve on its comfort & send it back to them so they can try to skate it until it's destroyed. It looked cool & it seemed to work so job well done u should be really proud. 👏🏻
I would really recommend to spend a litte time to look for the right infill pattern or design it with lattice design software as nTopology. Fusion 360 has volumetric lattices in the product design extension as well. The infill is really important to the feel of the shoe as it provides the cushioning effect. Rect Infill buckles and therefore deflects to the sides which creates instability and even can lead to injuries if you twist your ankle. TPMS (triply periodic minimal surfaces) such as gyroids are super interesting for these purposes that's why the one shoe in your first 3D printed shoe video used it.
Hi Seth, super cool to see what you're experimenting with here, which I had the time! I've done a bunch of printing of this sort part and I've found having a 1-2 mm radius on all the edges, standing the part up on its end (the heel for you), using a gyroid infill, additional wall on alternate layers, connecting the infill lines and fuzzy skin settings all make for a much more comfortable and evenly cushioned part and a better surface finish. I have a test part which will show that if you want.
About the part in 17:20 you could just redesign shoes to fit an additional cusion attached to a part this guy pointed out, so it would be made of 3 parts instead of 2 and parts that make contact with ankle should also have bigger surface, maybe even based on 3d scan of a foot, that would probably remove some base problems with those shoes.
It would be so dope if you took their feedback and tweaked the design from it so that there is a bit less chaffing, and then have the Braille guys measure their feet so you can print out a pair for each member and send it out! I think this is an idea that could go places and would love to see you continue collaborating with Braille on them. Also, you could create different colored layers like the recent gobstoppers so they become more funky as you wear them out. But the design you have now is clean.
They look really good for a 3d printed shoe. I would buy these if the upper was like a softer slide material but keep the same bottom. They look almost like a 2.0 Yeezy runner. Great content keep it up.
honestly if you ever get the budget for a big enough resin printer you could do gyroid infills and print/prototype a lot faster. And with the creation of flexible resins that do better than tpu, your shoes could become vastly more wearable, definitely worth a look imo
With the laced shoes. Try not printing the laces and add normal shoelaces after the 3d printing is finished. You can make the tongue and upper body separate and would be able to wear the shoes that way.
I just saw the part about tpu support. Good luck. I hope it ends up working out but support on TPU might as well be welded. Looking at your model you might be able to get away without printing support if you alter the tread pattern a bit near the toe. I have found that machines can print overhangs quite well and support isn't generally needed and you can Taylor your design not to need it.
Please share your files, that would be amazing. Would love to be able to one day just print out comfortable, reasonably stylish every day walking shoes and if they wear out just print another pair
Seth... why do I feel like this series is low key R&D for an Apothecary 3D printed shoe in the future. (if you hadn't thought about it you can cash app me my future royalties...lol)
Have you tried using a larger nozzle for tpu? I've never printed tpu using a . 8mm but on abs PETG and pla a .8 would cut your print times down a ton and wit a model this large there should not be any difference in quality. A larger nozzle can cut down print times significantly since the printer can lay down more material in each pass.
The concept of a 3D printed skateboarding is wild. The amount abuse regular shoes go through is crazy, but not having scuffs on your shoes is even crazier. Should really test it and do basketball shoes next
What type of training do you have to be able to use that cad program? I have designed a ring doorbell mount for doors but it’s all rectangles. I can’t do anything else. Also that was using a basic designer
The internet is all you need. Seriously, a few UA-cam tutorials could get you started easily in Fusion 360. I started in Blender myself which is sort of similar, but a little harder to get started. it's 100 percent worth it to learn one or both programs. A little studying goes a long long way
Looks like the walls are way too thick to get the flexibility needed from shoes. I am trying to decide if fully printing the entire shoe is a good idea or if it's smarter to add some vitamins like normal laces or some padding inserts...
The simple fact that they actually worked and didn’t get so torn up is astonishing. That’s kind of blowing me away
I think they're pro skaters, so they could probably skate on Stilletos if they wanted to. :)
I wish the top comment didn't spoil the investment of the the video lol
Bro sounds like an NPC 💀
The Collab I've been waiting for.
100%
What happened to your knuckles and ankle
Can we get some files?
Used to like braille until I found out Aaron weird asf
I’ve honestly been loving the 3D print stuff so much I used to watch a ton of Seth but then kind of fell off and this content has brought me right back
Let's go!

When I saw you were doing this I was absolutely stoked. Happy it’s out and thank you for this collab
So sick u teamed up with braille. You're a real one for that. God bless you man.

Shout out to the designer from fiver who is really talented, who got next to no shout out even though they made this project completely possible...
true , homie could at least give him a description link 💀 probably just saving him for himself iguess

can you drimmel the inside of the collar to make it smoother? really awesome project
Hi Seth! I definitely think that you should 3d print running shoes and go for a mile long run!
great idea!

I did not expect this Collab, and I'm here for it!
This is sick! Now all of us can 3D print different sizes of a shoes even in miniature and print any type of shoe even if it was limited edition.
Can I get the STL please, they look really nice and I want to print them on my ender v2
I love Apthacry socks. I order them everytime new ones come out. They really are the best socks I have ever worn, hands down.
Man, I am loving the 3D-printed shoes videos. Honestly, amazing.
Been waiting for this collab ever since the community post.
I need to skate in some of your stuff! Also about to buy your socks my guy!
I’ll send you some! Also let me know next time you’re in Philly!
Love these vids man. This one especially, feels like you're starting to go above and beyond with the 3d printing thing.
I would love a video like this where instead of a skateboard shoe you design a basketball shoe or running shoe
This is like a combination of all my favorite videos from Seth. Love this video
The Collab I never knew I wanted but I'm so glad exists
What an entertaining video! You have such a high bar for video creation and I wouldn't ask for anything less. Seth you are truly an inspiration
Big fan of the 3D series. Keep up the great content. Love the design of these too!
the collab i never knew i needed but now my life is changed forever
The collab no one expected
Good meeting you yesterday at KOP! Congrats on 1 Mil Seth, keep winning!
Wow Seth is really the only sneaker UA-camr who collars with ppl who are from my other hobbies like retro Rick and now braille 🔥🔥🔥
honestly if you ever get the budget for a big enough resin printer you could do gyroid infills and print/prototype a lot faster. And with the creation of flexible resins that do better than tpu, your shoes could become vastly more wearable, definitely worth a look imo
As a skater I can say this is the best content on your channel
I've grown out of the sneaker game a bit but your 3d printing series will always be interesting. Adidas 4D team perhaps hire this man
With the laced shoes. Try not printing the laces and add normal shoelaces after the 3d printing is finished. You can make the tongue and upper body separate and would be able to wear the shoes that way.
This is the best 3D printer video seth did so far
HAPPY 1 MILLION, well deserved🙏

Great video was not expecting to see Garett make an appearance love that guys youtube channel
Dude that sketch is siiiiiiiick!
3D printed shoes are like exotic race cars 🏎 I'm loving it 😇👍🏻
Maybe try resin for printing the insoles?
Please share your files, that would be amazing. Would love to be able to one day just print out comfortable, reasonably stylish every day walking shoes and if they wear out just print another pair
Loved the video it was great. Is there any chance you could release the files for this so we can make them too?
Damn a collab that I wasnt expecting grew up both watching you on both diff spectrums of life
A suggestion for a 3d printer for printing shoes would be ender creality cr-10s pro.
Bro Aaron Kyro’s the 🐐
Congrats on 1 Million Subscribers
Seth... why do I feel like this series is low key R&D for an Apothecary 3D printed shoe in the future. (if you hadn't thought about it you can cash app me my future royalties...lol)
Dude at 15:54 walking around like a cat/dog with socks on

Yo your shoe design is LIT! Like dayum id need one! Please do make for sale through your site xD
The concept of a 3D printed skateboarding is wild. The amount abuse regular shoes go through is crazy, but not having scuffs on your shoes is even crazier. Should really test it and do basketball shoes next

Such a good vid man, keep em comming!
Congratulations on 1mill🎉
BIG FAN❤🎉
thanks Henry!
yeah this was a dope collab between two dope youtube channels
As someone who love skating and sneakers I love this collab
Love the Braille team. As a long time skater and sneaker head this has been one of my favorite vids. Killed it. So much fun
Seth, I think you should look into hiring a film crew, just one guy even when you do these kind of videos. It would take them to the next level.
6:42 I shall save this for sentimental reasons.

smoothing out the sharp edges would make them pretty good
Seth! Please 3D print me the best driving shoes! 🙏🏽
Sorted, a workable 3D printed shoe, excellent progress 👍
Awesome video Seth!
Are they the first "Fowlers SD " ???
This is super awesome, i have been watching since the first shoe print videos. Would you ever be down to share the STL files for the shoes?
This was so sick

You can just the fit with a hot air gun or even a hairdryer quite easily btw. no need to change the file.

Haven’t seen a Braille video in 2-3 years
I love technology man it’s advancing so good🤜🏻💯Keep it up bro!
Looks like the walls are way too thick to get the flexibility needed from shoes.
I am trying to decide if fully printing the entire shoe is a good idea or if it's smarter to add some vitamins like normal laces or some padding inserts...

This project was awesome man! It would be really cool to see if you could design and make a basketball shoe!
You should make the same design but with foam instead like crocs
Stls please!!!
He should do another pair of these shoes but use the input he got from skaters and improve them
I need a size 8.5 on these man 🙌🏽🔥
Great lookin' shoe... I'd cop that! Will we see a Braille x Seth Fowler Skate Shoe collab in the future??
psst, Seth...you didn't add links for the 3d printers in the description 🤫😂
