- If you can even find a Humminbird 360, there is a new mount that John Crews found for using on the Lowrance Ghost or Minn Kota Fortrexx.

That’s the mount I got for fortrex. You can open the clamp all the up and turn bolts by hand to size. I got it marked to see if it’s moving and hasn’t yet. I do like the stabilizer on the bottom so will be looking for that.
I used the BFE mount on mine. Works great.
Hummingbird has to get rid off the ridiculous extra pole for 360. They need to develop something that goes on the trolling motor head similar to the new ghost360.

Hey John! I have a Fortrex trolling motor. A friend gave me a mega 360 but I don't have the Fortrex mount bracket. Would you sell me the Fortrex mount or let me know where I can get one. Thks
JC so you use the Mega 360 but still use the Garmin Livescope and Lowrance active target? Or Am I mistaken?

Hey John! Thanks for the video! I’m looking to do the same setup this year and already have the mount and 360. With what you’ve shown how well does the ghost rotate to steer both directions? Seems like we might want a little more service loop than you had shown. Also I like how these mounts allow you to raise and lower the trolling motor but again on yours it looks like the service loop might be a little small? Can you explain it? Or show a video of the motor turning and raising up/down?
John do you have any suggestions where we can buy the mega 360s? I've looked everywhere but they're all backorderd or sold out.

I heard that Lowrance can now do a”360” with the Ghost if you have the 3in1 nose cone. My understanding is that it’s a free software upgrade. I assume the ghost spins to make the image. Would like to hear your thoughts and maybe trials for this. If it works it could save a few bucks for us “weekend warriors”. Personally, I’d rather NOT have 3 brands of sonar on my boat. Thanks.
It’s a great feature for Lowrance people. The only thing it you have to push the button to make it show 360. It’s basically a manual version of 360. You’ll never guess who made the suggestion of this feature to the Lowrance engineer. 😉

Great for Lowrance only peeps but still not a full time 360
the manufacturer could cut an oring groove in the mount to keep it from vibrating down
Warranty issue.. If you damage the shaft it is not covered.

There is a reason the bracket is mounted high on the 360 pole. When u add the lower aftermarket bracket…. the first time u hit a stump….. bye bye 360 head! It’s made to flex.

@@JohnCrews I understand. Some people fish very wooded areas like myself. Just warning people that it does happen. Seen it first hand and hummingbird can void the warranty if they see it. I’m a weekend tournament fisherman and that repair cost would set me back. Just saying

Thanks John. Love the content. I captain for a high school team and looking far and wide for a ultrex mega transducer before ice out. Frustrating to say the least.
