Hi, I used the app during my dives for a week in Egypt, and in general it was great. But maybe some improvement is needed. 1. When my phone was in airplane mode (or no internet connection), which is pretty common if you are travelling or in a boat, the iphone app often fails to launch. 2. Once, my apple watch suddenly didn't recognize the subscription so I forced to choose "snorkeling" mode which was annoying. I should ask to the boat crew to turn on his hotspot, I reconnect to the internet, and relaunch the app. It was fortune that I recognize it before I jumped into the water, otherwise, I don't want to imagine... It must be reliable in this sense. 3. Regarding the second point, that's why many people suggest one time purchase than subscription model.
⚠️ 1 year later, this “bug” is still there. The subscription fails to activate. This is why I will not use it anymore. My guess they will not fix it because they need to sell their diving computers, but thank you, Oceanic, I’ll simply go with a an other brand!
Hello, very good and easy to use app. However, my app fails to recognize my subscription and goes into snorkel mode vs scuba mode. I have 2 records of snorkeling instead scuba. How can I fix this on my scuba records?...Thanks

At times my app fails to recognize my subscription and goes into snorkel mode vs scuba mode. It can be fixed by syncing with my phone. However, this has occurred several times without my knowing and I ended up on a dive without my computer. This could be very dangerous and needs to be fixed. If you are hiking or driving and something like this happens it’s not a big deal. However, if it happens while diving it could cause a serious accident. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to buy a different computer.
Thank you for the comments. Default is always “scuba mode” when in an active subscription to avoid accidental diving in snorkeling mode. Be sure to keep your app updated to the latest firmware to benefit from improvements as they are released. We hope you enjoy using Oceanic+ and please engage with us again in the future.
@@OceanicWorldwideMy app on the 3rd dive was still in snorkel mode 😠, 2nd dive did go into “Scuba mode” but the 3rd did not... I’d think it would detect the descent and change automatically - please update. Thanks for this tutorial, it was helpful & I hope the modifications help correct this issue.

If the diver reaches 40 meters, they are prompted with a max depth alarm. Here Oceanic+ still tracks your depth and NDL in the background. However, below 44M Oceanic+ can no longer calculate your no decompression time, and you will need to switch to an alternate device to safely finish the dive. In both scenarios once back above 40M, depth and dive time will be displayed, just not your NDL if you dive below 44M.
@@OceanicWorldwide any chance to talk Apple into giving in a few more meters for the safety of the divers who will have otherwise to ascend completely blindfolded? I wonder when the first liability case will pop up suing apple and oceanic for decompression damage or a divers dead due to the fact that you are shutting down a live saving device in a dangerous situation.
@@vauha27 Thank you for the question. It’s important for the safety of our users to consider the published maximum depth of Oceanic+ is 40 meters and is designed for the recreational diver. For your safety always consider your training and use a backup computer especially if dives are planned beyond this point. No single computer should be relied on as a lifesaving device, including on dives shallower than 40 meters. To your question, at 40 meters the user will receive an automatic “Maximum Depth Reached” alarm which will remain on screen until they start to ascend above this point. It is not until beyond 44M that NDL tracking will no longer be available, and the user recommended to switch to an alternate device. So, giving a few extra meters is already built into the device. Again, if you are planning dives below the recreational maximum depth of 40 meters, we would recommend considering another Oceanic computer. Please keep the feedback coming and we hope you enjoy using Oceanic+!
Worst app ever. The dive logs dont sync with the phone app. The app is also not accurate and it does not have NDL. They also double charges you. I emailed them but they wont respond. Very poor customer service, they done even replied in their email even after a month.
Thanks for your message. Please update your application to version 1.1.4 on your iPhone and Apple Watch Ultra. If there is no change, please email us at service@huishoutdoors.com with a screenshot of your issue and the email used for your account. Thank you!

Oceanic, this a severe bug and should be adressed immediately.

The biggest problem for me is it doesn't have a remote sensor for tank pressure.
80 Bucks a year?!!! Dont think so. I would have payed 80$ once but not anual. Hope there will be a alternitive soon.
Its not even a full computer, no pressure monitoring! What a waste! Only a double check as far as I’m concerned.
So excited to try this out over the holidays!
Happy Diving!
The free diving mode reads the time on service, each time you come up from a dive?
Can you make a video of the free diving mode?
Thanks
Hi, How can I change the gas during the dive (air and nitrox)? I'm a side mountain diver and use a nitrox tank and an air tank during the same dive.
Do i need internet connection or Cellular for the Oceanic app while diving

I think the compass could have been better, the heading and the RETURN pathway should have been there.
Thank you for your feedback; we genuinely appreciate it and will take it into consideration.
Any info about Max OTU warning?

When will be released free diving mode? snorkeling mode isn't enough for free divers.
At the moment freedive is not currently available. More advanced freedive features will be included in the future. Thank you.
I seriously need to sell a kidney 😅
What happens with dive tracking when exceeding MOD?
Will it continue to track in the background? Or will it be paused while below MOD?

Bad are the Price and without Remote Sensor for Tank Pressure , so Not 100% Diver Watch
Does anyone know how to get the watch face with all the complications on it? Oceanic is installed on my phone and watch but didn’t get the watch face

sounds good but I would rather purchase a dive computer instead of pay a monthly fees for my watch to use Oceanic App. Sorry Oceanic!
Thank you for your comment. Oceanic+ constantly updates to have the latest dive features.
App is no good
