Nice tasty playing and tone. I have an ES-339 and love it. I split my time between the 339 and a Tele with a B string bender.
Dude, FINALLY someone made this guitar sound good. This is what I was hoping for. Wicked sound.

I even compared it to Slash's LP Standard, but nothing came even close to ES 339 (of course on distorted field she's not the Queen). So thanks for sharing man! :-)
I have owned two different 339's. I love the concept of a light, semi-hollow with the body size of a les Paul. I wish I could tell you what it was, both were plek'd at the Memphis plant, you would expect them to melt in your hands...mine didn't, I sold them both befor I had them 3 months. Love the look and weight, never found either one could replace my Prs, Strat or les Paul. Just my opinion.
BROTHER YOU STILL LOOK AT THIS POST? I AM LOOKING AT A 2013 NOW, BUT NOTICED THAT THE HEAD STOCK IS NOT STAMPED INTO THE WOOD, IT IS LIKE AN INKED OR SILK SCREENED SERIAL NUMBER AND DOESN'T SAY MADE IN USA. ANY THOUGHTS ON YOURS? THANKS - A

Hi Greg, Awesome playing as usual! I have a question on the ES-339 in comparison to the ES-335. I have briefly played both (with 60's necks - I have very small hands). Nice! Should the necks feel the same? I like the size and cost of the 339. Is the build quality the same? How do you rate the Memphis tone controls? Can you get close to the tone of the 335 with the 339?

i bought mine in honeyburst im tellin you straight talk, you pick one up and spend a few days with it itll be your No.1, out of all my semi's lps strats and parkers i think i have one of the nicest ive ever played, there was a particular martin jazz body that had a crazy fretboard i picked up at a shop once, that was comparable in quality and feel...but it was gone the next time i went back and i dont know what model it was....either way mines my main fiddle
@W95thStreetHigh Do you think adding a bigsby will help balance the neck? I just ordered one of these online, I plan on puttin one on just because I love bigsbys
do ES-339s weigh less than other ES guitars?
what pick ups are in that 339?
LOL....... you get used to the proportions after a while . I also have a 335 size guitar which I use once in a while, and when I put it on it looks enormous in comparison...almost humorously so. There are a few companies out there that make a 15 inch body (the 339 is 14 inches wide, and the 335 is 16 inches wide) The 15 is a good compromise visually . Eastman makes a 15" guitar, so does Ibanez ..Cheers
