    That turned out beautiful. I was recently given one with the discs, plow, cultivator and mowing attachments. It had been sitting for over fifteen years inside a shed. The tires were still good though. I swapped a carb and fuel tank from the 3 Horse B&S that was on it and had no spark to a newer model. It fires up without even using the choke and the thing is fully operational now. It was well taken care of by the previous owner.
    Being a Suburbanite, I don't know what I will use it for but now that I see your gorgeous one I may strip it down and paint it.

    Very beautiful , I have one question . Did you have any problems with the engine running after you moved the intake and did you use all brass fittings .

    • @FarmAlarm
      @FarmAlarm  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks! Actually yes. It had to be ran with choke halfway on. By having less restriction on the intake by not using the factory filter setup, it got more air in. And that means it was running too lean. At some point I think I drilled out the main jet in the carburetor to richen it up a bit. But it ran with half choke for years.

    Where did your find your decal set? I have two David Bradley's that I'm using to restoring one. I have a breaking plow and a cultivator.

    What engine did you use? It probably had a Briggs Model N originally

    the only thing i would have done differently is make the seat a tool box accessing it by lifting the top

    wow. that looks great. how did you get the 3hp predator to fit under the hood? I have the same project and a 3hp predator but have been told it wont fit!

    • @FarmAlarm
      @FarmAlarm  6 років тому

      Thanks for watching. Well you go tell whom ever told you the 3hp Predator won't fit under the hood, that they are mistaken lol. It will fit with a custom made air filter. Or no air filter. But with factory air box and fuel tank do get in the way of the hood. Thanks again and sorry for the delayed response.

    What are the wheels from? Were they an easy fit?

    • @FarmAlarm
      @FarmAlarm  6 років тому +5

      I bought them off of eBay. The guy said they were from a David Bradley. But all of my research shows that David Bradley never had steel wheels like that. I could be wrong though. But I have found three other pairs of these wheels, and they were all on David Bradley's. And somewhere along the line I found some research that said they were from a previous model before the David Bradley line was sold through Sears and it was called the "Handiman Junior". So I think that's what they were off of. And they fit perfectly.

    So plantings just over, how does she plow?

    • @FarmAlarm
      @FarmAlarm  7 років тому +1

      Well I did use it this year to plow up an 80 ft row for some blackberry plants.. and honestly it is geared too fast and does not have enough power to enjoy using it. BUT that will be a simple fix! Smaller engine pulley and perhaps a shorter belt and then im sure all will be well! Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment too.

    Did you go with a Predator engine because you didn't have a continental engine?

    • @FarmAlarm
      @FarmAlarm  6 років тому

      Yes I did not have a factory engine any longer, so I went with the three horse predator because it does mimic the looks of the Continental kind of. But mine originally had a two and a half horse Briggs and Stratton on it. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching
