The young guy at the last of this video was not experienced enough with the spear kanna. His form and posture was wrong and resulted in coarse, uncontrolled cuts. The spear kanna can make beautiful patterns in the hands of a master.

using man made knifes have been used since the ice age, there is nothing here to see, just a knife with a long handle.

A plane is just a knife with a wedge, a saw is just a bunch of knives on one plate, and a chisel is just a knife at a right angle. There's nothing to see here just a comment with no substance
