    Great video…I have had mine for about 3 years and thank my lucky stars I bought it…the whole point was to get out on the water and off of those banks…love the boat, but yes current and wind effect these small boats…if these came in a 12 foot same design that would make these boys just perfect…can’t beat a pontoon style for stability.

      @phils6733 thank you so much! I'm very happy I bought mine as well. The thing I love most is being able to take someone along and enjoy the beauty of being out on the water. In fact, my wife actually suggested we take it out this weekend for a little relaxing...so that's a big win! Thank you for watching and commenting. I really do appreciate you!!!

    I have the Bass Hunter Bass Baby and I love that boat, it is the only one on the market that is all one piece no strip around the boat that can come apart and leak also it has built in wheels in the back that stay attached all times and it’s super easy for one guy to pick up the front and wheel to the waters edge. My boat has the hard plastic seats but they have cushions attached to the seat and the back so they are very comfortable

      @Glock-1 I've heard a lot of good about the Bass Hunter. The Facebook group I belong to (and you might belong to as well) has a lot of comments about that boat. Nothing but praise for it. They are kinda hard to find though, at least here where I'm at. Thanks for watching! I appreciate you!! 👍

    The 10E is a much better buy. The seats are the only real upgrade on the model you have. The seats are similar to the Millennium Mesh seat; and you can buy that seat for $100.00 each. Why Pelican can get away with charging $350.00 extra for these seats is beyond me. Probably because people don't know about the Millennium seat and that they might have made the seat on the Pelican for them. You could have saved $150.00 and had the 2 extra seats/$150.00 to spend on other accessories like the cover you recommend. A great boat, and a great review.

      @williamcotton8746 you make a very good point and to be honest, I am one of the ones unfamiliar with the Millennium seats. I'm gonna have to look those up so I can make sure to communicate the best information possible in future videos. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!

    Great video! Wish I could have that rod holder style on a kayak without it getting in the way of paddling.

      @yakkittymack  4 місяці тому

      @Eightmile_Drifter thank you sir! Yeah, I've been toying with the idea of adding the Flexrod system to my kayak so I can have the horizontal storage. I could mount behind the seat area and keep them from interfering with paddling if I need to. They are from Yak gadget.

    Not just this style of boat but any boat with a bow mounted trolling motor that you are running up into too shallow of an area to retrieve a hung up lure you have the same issues of fighting the trolling motor and its depth.
    Also again any smaller boat even aluminum jon boats wind and current are again a pain, it cost a bit of coin but honestly a spot lock trolling motor is worth its cost tenfold in making fishing more enjoyable in such conditions as the trolling motor will keep you in your spot while you fish, tye on a lure or unhook a caught fish or even eat your lunch!
    If you ever try one you will wonder why you did not do so years sooner!

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  3 місяці тому

      @billwiley7316 that makes sense to me. I don't have a lot of experience with any kind of boat really, so the Raider is the only one I can speak about. I heard great things about spot lock, and if the Bass Raider was going to be my primary vessel, I would definitely look into it. But my real love is the kayak and that's going to be where I put most of my time and money 💰 😆. Thank you for watching and commenting, I appreciate you!

    Appreciate the honesty I have a bass raider and was bass fishing last Friday night and caught fish,had a blast but I was getting blown all over the place. I am going to check out your rudder and gonna try anchoring up here and there and see how that is. You’re not lying about those plastic seats they are brutal definitely going to check out the ones you got.
    About how heavy is your battery not sure if you mentioned that?
    Thanks a lot

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  4 місяці тому

      @richardkeller6940 thank you! I always appreciate your support. The battery is 37 pounds, so not the lightest but not nearly as heavy as a traditional battery. The rudder helps a lot, but I just don't think there is a cure for the wind on these little boats. Glad you caught some fish! That's better than my last outing where I brought home the dreaded skunk 🦨 😂. Thanks again, stay safe, and tight lines!!

    Hello there Mr Jeff! I'm wondering how well it paddles? I looked at this boat and the wind was a concern for me too. I went with the crescent crew as a fit all boat. I can take my grandson out with me or move the seat for a one man trip. Oh well, just had to say hello and I like to see your cat if you have one? Cat's are cool!

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  4 місяці тому

      Hello Billy, thank you so much for watching and commenting! It does NOT paddle well at all. I fear the day that something happens to the trolling motor and I have to paddle back to dock. I think you probably made a wise choice with the Crescent. We have 13 cats, so take your pick 😂 we love and rescue cats and one that we rescued had 5 kittens so our total grew by 6 overnight.

    This company does not support their products. They broadly interpret their warranty to not warrant defects when items purchased on sale or discounted! What does a store discounting an item have to do with a defect warranty? I put this out to the community: I understand your frustration, and I apologize for any confusion regarding our warranty policy.
    Our warranty explicitly excludes products sold in "as is" conditions, demos, prototypes, liquidation, or floor models. While the policy does not explicitly mention "discounted" items, it is broadly interpreted to include items purchased on sale or at a discount that fall under these categories.
    While I empathize with your situation, unfortunately, our warranty terms are designed to apply uniformly to all customers, regardless of purchase price or promotional discounts.
    Based on our current policy guidelines, we are unable to extend warranty coverage to your purchase.
    We value your feedback and take your concerns seriously. If there's anything else we can assist you with within the confines of our policy, please let us know.

    Thank you for your understanding.
    I strongly advise to not buy a product from this company especially if it is on sale at any discounted price... unbelievable !!

    Have you put an outboard motor on it? If so did the transom hold up to it? If you are just using a trolling motor what pound thrust are you using?

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  3 місяці тому +1

      @markhumphries6020 no, I haven't attempted an outboard, and don't know if I will in the future. If I do, I would seriously consider electric. I currently only use the trolling motor and it is 55 pounds of thrust. No gonna win any races, that's for sure 😃 thank you for watching and commenting, I appreciate you! Let me know if you have any other questions about the boat.

    Nice video! What kind of trailer are you using? Hope are you loading it into and out of the trailer and the water?

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  29 днів тому +1

      Inconceivable! 😂 Love your name reference to an all time classic movie 🤣 thank you very much for watching and commenting. My trailer is just a basic jon boat trailer where I removed the bunks and put a piece of carpeted marine plywood in their place. I have a 10' rope attachment for the boat that I use to push and pull the boat off/on to the trailer. If you get a chance, check out the video I made about the trailer setup a few months back. I appreciate you commenting!!

      @@yakkittymack I just got a pond prowler last week. Had a blast taking it out over the weekend but it was a pain loading and unloading it.

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  29 днів тому

      @@DreadPirateRonMexico are you using a trailer or did you have it a truck bed? I'm gonna be honest...if I couldn't have a trailer, I wouldn't have the boat. It is a pain to move around. The trailer makes it simple. I often just push it off then pull it up to the bank will I go park and then push it just far enough into the water that it floats and step in over the side. Loading is a little tougher because I have to back up towards the bank since my motor is on the front. If there's a dock, then I just treat it like any other kind of boat.

      @@yakkittymack I tried it both ways this weekend. Neither seemed optimal. I have my boy with me but he's to small to help. It was slightly better into a utility trailer. I'm thinking I need to build one of those dollys because I don't wanna spend 700 bucks buying one.

      @@DreadPirateRonMexico I've seen a couple of videos on some DIY carts for these style boats. I would say keep an eye on Marketplace for a used trailer, but you'll probably have to spend about $500 which is what you're not wanting to do. I hope you find a solution that works for you. I know how exciting it is to get one of these and I'd hate for you to use it less because of it's awkward size and weight.
