Me:takes break FROM study
Ali:takes break TO study
Now i know the difference...
ahahahah ya
LifeGoals Lol just think of the fact that when you study on your break at work then it means you’ll have to study less time at home!
im crying i feel so envy i wish i am like tht XD
Bro ikr 😅 🤣😭😭
Lol 😂
Ali: “If I’m lazy, I listen to audiobooks.”

@@amersiraz7455 Where did I say it isn't a choice? Just said it's strange a Muslim mother would want her daughter to marry a murtad.
and Ali liked your comment :)
@SaharYM same here 😂
Well this was more entertaining than expected.
Jack Swagger 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
@@DRJUDE good job
“Productive procrastination” never heard that before, seems like an oxymoron, but upon second thought, it does make sense.
😂
try structured procrastination
Ikr🖤👌
I died at that playlist. One Direction is such a mood
Me too i'm directioner
neeks
schmucks
Wait...so you're telling me not all doctors walk around inside a glass conference room trying to see if a patient has Lupus or not? Eyes opened now.
It's never Lupus
Oh your thinking of house.
hahaha House MD lool
Usually aids
... So you’re telling me that the reason why I wanted to study Medicine is just fiction?!?!?!?
I don't film anything here because I don't want them to think am weird 😂😂😂😂.....
We all know you are weird 😜😂
Weird but still love it!
You have to be weird to be different! 🙌🏾
My brain Good weird as it usually is.
"If I'm feeling lazy, I listen to audiobooks." This man's lazy is the world's productive hahaha
Good job
@Heitzch his job I guess
If you're worried about Alzheimer's you might want to reconsider all the sleep you're sacrificing in the name of 'productivity'. Full, regular and consistent sleep is essential to your health - don't skip out on it, you'll just pay for it later 👍🏻.
Viktor S absolutely!
No comparison to Trauma Surgery lol. Having breakfast or lunch at work is impossible.
SERIOUSLY!!!!! like howww
Lol sorry about that , Thats the life of a type A personality !!
“She films me pouring ketchup unto my plate.” made me laugh 😂
TWO CALLS IN A ROW?! WOAH steady on the buddy don't overwork yourself. Poor psychiatrists with their unmanageable workloads. And lol at cardiology putting you to sleep. Same man, same.
It profile pic is. Bit creepy
Damn, this is the best hospital vlog I've ever seen. I always enjoy watching med students study, but hospital vlogs are just awful in general cause there's not much you're allowed to film. But the videos you placed in to suggest your tasks for the day really did the trick for me, good job! Also, getting in some productive time in the morning, that's some highly appreciated inspiration for me as I try to do the same. Hope to see more of these vlogs!
I thought i was playing it at x1.25
AAAAAA YES FINALLY I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR A VIDEO LIKE THIS FOR AGES
SwampOgre 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
lmaoooo the part where he’s like
“I gave up on trying to sleep”
LOL
chinqalicious standard
Love watching these ‘day in the life’ videos and making them as well!
Quality content and editing as usual!
Hi doctor
So fast ⚡️🏆so cool👏
Hello
“She was very confused on why I was filming”
“She films me pouring ketchup on my plate”
Lol 😂. Your personality is a personality everyone wants
And I can’t even get out of bed
Marvellous comment - bed warm, why move
this is how we shall die
This is the most complete “a day in my life “ video ever
I was very suprised that you didn't do much actual work as a doctor. I would have anticipated, that you would be slogging through task after task the whole time, but you manage to play ping-pong and study for school.
Thought I was the only one who thought that but ive heard psych rotations are most chilled
Medical rotations vary a lot in how busy you are. He's on psychiatry which is generally a more chill rotation, especially for juniors. I'm on surgery at the moment and lunch break is grabbed when you can, usually 20-30 mins, and I'll be doing job after job. I usually have to stay at least half an hour late to get it all done. Whereas the job I did before this, haematology, I'd often have free time in the afternoon.
@@Palliehallie Yup i know what you mean some rotations; YOU DONT EAT til you get home 😭
I know ! not bad at all !!
"I dont film anything there because I dont want themto think I am weird."
You're not weird, youre the pinnacle of the creative elite!
Superb video!
Ali look like "Dr.Rustom pavri" of Munna Bhai MBBS.
Lol same thing
Right punit bhai
“Not the actual patient” 😂😂😂
Would be weird otherwise 😅😅
Who’s here from Ali’s evening chat?
What's that?
Ali “I have some free time so I’ll study “
Me : “ I have free time , lets see what Ali posted “
Okay, your random commentaries about your colleagues finding you weird is everything 😂😂
You put a lot of thought and energy into filming and editing this video- which makes it calming (in a weird way) whilst watching.
Would definitely love to see a day in the life part 2! 👏👏
i can see why doctors get paid so much now
Also law of supply and demand contributes to their very high wages. There's been an absolute shortage of doctors (especially in the uk) for years now.
love from 🇮🇳... you motivate me to take NEET-UG in a much positive way.
Good luck
don't take, because the situation of medical students and doctors are very bad in india
AmeenAnsari They can always practice abroad.
Great video, love your content! I think content about the more “dark side” of your experience as a student/doctor would be great. For example the stress and unseen side of what you go through and how we all could cope better and handle being a better student without giving up. Many of us are in school and it gets harder and harder to finish and not get worn out from school/work. We would like to see that kind of experience from you to relate to. Thank you!
Don't you like seeing someone having a good life? Some people just gave better lives. It is not that they work less harder, but their situation is much better.
I’ve felt crappy in and off for years, had every test under the sun kind of and multiple times too, eventually after feeling strange recently and having little to no energy and having weird feeling legs and after requesting a vitamin d test it turns out in fact while there is “nothing wrong with me” I have a vitamin d Deficiency and my level was 18 which apparently is extremely low, after taking the vitamin d I feel lots better, however after missing a few doses here and there feel rubbish again, the hospital and Dr prescribed Vit D but online it says you must take with K2 and magnesium, for some strange reason I cannot tolerate magnesium and it makes me feel all tingly and strange and then when I stop taking even more fatigued, I don’t smoke I drink only on the weekend and I walk everyday, at this point I am just venting, I guess my question is why do I feel weird, like my bones are poisoned and strange feeling like a horrible feeling throughout the body that is not always present, I’ve been years without the feeling but whenever I am feeling like this it returns, feels bad man! Anyway am big fan of your vids not just here to tell about my own feelings
Vitamin D helps improve the absorption of calcium, and generally must be synthesized from cholesterol with the help of UVlight/sunlight; you skip this step when you take a pill. Vitamin D deficiency is extremely common, even in people who work only 5-8 hours inside and not "all-day", depending on melanin skin levels and ethnicity. Calcium plays a major role in bone strength, which means vitamin D (by absorbing more calcium from your food) indirectly helps make your bones stronger. Vitamin D doesn't require any magnesium or vitamin K to be absorbed, but rather those are supplemental minerals and vitamins to help further strengthen your bones. Getting 15-30min outside is sufficient vitamin D production for most people, but 2000-4000 (sometimes up to 6000) units/day is generally considered "safe"; your doctor may prescribe something more like 20,000-50,000 to help get you out of a slump. HOWEVER, vitamin D levels should be between 20-50, so 18 is low but not deficient - you don't really start seeing symptoms until you hit single digits 1-10.
Magnesium is an inducer (turns on) of GABA, which is a chemical in your brain which makes you sleepy, slows down your heart rate, makes you feel a bit weak or dizzy, and generally just fatigued; it is considered an "inhibitory" chemical, and is sometimes even found in sleeping pills. This might be why you feel a bit weird with it! It can help strengthen your bones even further with the help of calcium. Vitamin K is almost never low, because it is so commonly found in the food most people eat, especially in dark leafy greens (spinach, kale, etc.), beans/legumes, oranges, potatoes, and so many more. Vitamin K helps regulate clotting factors for when you bleed, and helps puts the calcium in your blood into your bones and cells.
The most common reason for low energy is low blood sugar, so make you're your eating your 3 meals (or 6 small meals) per day of healthy greens, fruits, breads, proteins, and dairy. If you don't exercise, I also highly recommend it! It can really help boost your energy levels by increasing muscle mass and releasing some feel-good endorphins; at least 30min 5 days per week is what the AHA recommends, or 1.5hours / week.
Don't trust everything you read online, make sure you're always getting a checkup once a year, always include all of the vitamins and over-the-counter meds (pills from wallgreens like aspirin, anti cold meds, etc.), talk to your doctor about anything and everything you're feeling (both physically and emotionally), and I hope you feel better and get to the bottom of it!
Your content is fascinating and I cannot wait to binge your channel! Incredible editing.
@Ali - Everything aside, I think you're an insanely productive man. Your chill time, would sort of be my peak productivity. Time you start a series on general productivity hacks! Keep up the great work. :)
How do you get through these days without burning out completely? I wouldn’t feel on top of my game with just five hours of sleep
@@itzelr3514 it'll catch up with you eventually. It might be in 1 month it might be in 10 years
What you do in a day is literally more than all I did in 2019
Seeing Taylor Swift’s songs on your playlist brings me joy! First time I’ve seen this
In my medical college its absolute chaos.
I am now convinced being a doctor is his hobby
I absolutely enjoyed this video. You have been motivating me to study in various ways. I am very grateful for this channel and the motivation it’s providing me for my future (hopefully) as a doctor. :)
"l'll do some studying"
My lazy ass could never relate with Ali.
Yes, I can't believe it, both my favorite creators - PaigeY and now Ali too - upload a video this evening, this day can't get better , I had been waiting for so long 😍📚❤️😭🤩🤩🤩 update: greetings from Latvia ❤️🇱🇻
Your day seems pretty chill...coming from an American MD our days are insane. Is this the norm in the UK, or are you just so good at your job that it looks laid back in comparison?
This was psychiatry so it’s a special case
As a surgery resident, this makes me feel sad. Really sad
jhk0428 why
LOL. I feel you. I am an internal medicine resident. There is no time for me to sit and study whenever I am on call.
Why are you feeling sad?
I bet this video makes a lot us realize how unproductive we are 😂
I love seeing these videos because your an inspiration. People like to see how a doctor goes through a day and any tips you may offer. Thanks for the truly awesome content.
"I don't film anything here because I don't want them to think I'm weird."
Relatable, though I'm not a vlogger, and that's just me in general.
I gotta say, life as a junior doctor in the UK is so so much better, with loads of free time! As a junior doctor in my country, arriving at 7am is already considered a grave crime, & there's literally no break or free time, we work straight all the way till 10pm
What country is that?
Just asking, where r you from?
Your call was so chill 😭. I’m not usually that lucky
I hope I am not the only one watching his hips move left and right while walking...
Jesus loves you and has a plan for you 🙏 , God Bless You 🙏
I want to become a doctor in future 💕
You motivate me a lot
You’re such an inspiration ALIIII!!!!!
ali did you had bad habits, if so how did came off it.
i am really struggling, watching youtube at night in my phone before sleep.
Just wondering how much filming did it take to make a 5 min video
where do you find doctors to date? where do they even hang out? help a girl out
Ali, what about your family members😕 Don't you spend some time with them ?
“Clickbait title” 😂😂 it wasn’t wrong tho technically, but I guess that’s the art of a good clickbait
RflXGhost I don’t get it why was it click bait?😅
In Malaysia you have to work for 36 hours straight if you're oncall.
More study with me's Ali.... they're crazy good....
Will you give me some suggestions plz as tooo prolonged use of laptops mobile they will effects our eyes is i pad pro is comfortable with eyes
Hey my brother just became a doctor can you recommend me a gift for him? He already have most of the equipment! But i want to give him something he can use as a doctor
I love this video lol it’s so diff from ur others and the humour killed me
This was an awesome video. Would love to see one on your diet and exercise routine and how being a doctor affects this, like should you be taking supplements or are they useless
I am completing the 1000 comment on this video 😉
You‘re such a smart guy and a doctor. So it baffles me even more that you would eat trash like that, which literally destroys your body, 3 times a day
Damn..your shift was a piece of cake..not all of us are so lucky 😄😄
I am working in Emergency Rescue, I totally know the feeling of finally laying down and then a second later getting called in, time and time again ... .:D
WTF! Watching doc for break?!!
Nah.. Netflix is better
I recommend this book, The End of Alzheimer's: The First Program to Prevent and Reverse Cognitive Decline, by Dale Bredeson, MD. It was a great read about his findings and patient experiences.
hey Ali, I am from India and regular watching ur videos, now looking ur code for @t is not working here, is this country-specific??
"Productive Procrastination" hmmmmm
What’s ur speciality or rotation? Please be specific
loved how while you were studying you showed us real-time footage of what was on your laptop. Always just watch videos of med students staring at a screen, not knowing what they're looking at
3:02 😂 im laughing now but will most likely experience this in the future. No Rest.
your day looks so tiring, thank you for saving lives, i have no idea how you manage to do everything
on your 3rd year to fellowship it will be a living hell but it will be all worth it in the end.
More of these please
Dude... You're a doctor but your posture is really bad...
You have a gym in your hospital cool 😂😂👌
Proud of you
Ali, I have a humble request, If you aren’t super busy..... One day, Please do a collab with Samuel Suresh!! You guys would be amazing!!! (*fangirling*)
I've just subscribed ur v log channell
You can tell someone is just out of med school when they brag about getting blood on the first try :D very relatable Ali hehe
lol, nursing
:)
How a day becomes productive without thinking about the creator even once in a day😞... The one who gave you this much brains
Exactly
I feel so bad that you couldn't sleep when you wanted :(
Hi Ali - at 1:48 i noticed (i guess) your ID is used to access the terminal. Is that the case? It seems rather cool that it's built into the keyboard. Lots of public sector love
when your intentions are pure, you don’t lose anyone. they lose you.
isn't it dangerous to show your car's license number?
@@aliabdaal no ones going to hurt you its fine
Sometimes it seems like your in prison 😂😂
The Truth being a doctor often feels like you are doing time!
Do you have senior residents around in case you need guidance handling emergencies like that panic attack or any other? Because this is your training period so I assume there may be pgy2/3 residents around to guide.
@@aliabdaal Thank you for clarifying. :)
“She Films me pouring KETCHUP on my plate”
Wait your a doctor and don’t know the two layers of the skin😂😂😂
I'm exhausted watching this
I had a meal today, the potatoes were especially intimidating.
Man , do you have any eye pain or something like that , your studying routine is based only on pdf book or internet stuff ?
