    This worked amazing. Mine looked almost exactly like the one in the video. It's just as easy as the video shows.

    Took me awhile to figure out he was alternating needles when going up/down (but not over). Great video. Will finally fix my 2011 Explorer.

    This worked great! Thank you! I just used the heaviest duty black nylon thread I could get at a local fabric store and put some glue inside the seam as well.

    Excellent video, I have been thinking about tackling this on my 2013. I have a dark gray interior and what I might try before stitching is darkening the foam with a sharpie.

    I have this issue, and decided that the best way to fix it is stitching it like you stitch leather. It's been like 40 years since I've done leathercraft, so came here to see what other people are doing. Of the videos I've watched, other than you holding your phone the wrong way, this one if the best. I'm glad I came looking, because your technique is actually a little easier than what I was going to do using 2 separate threads.
    Cool technique with the knife and super glue; I was going to use the 2 part system I use in some fiber optic connectors, but the super glue will be easier.

    • @problemsolver8447
      @problemsolver8447  Рік тому +1

      No. But you can if your needles keep falling off. My needle eyes are pretty small so they stay threaded pretty good without a knot.

    Where did you get the nylon thread you are using? I ordered thread from Amazon and it is nowhere near the same quality you are using. The tread you are using appears to be a much more rigid and retains stiffness compared to the thread I received.
