  • Introduced into the range in April 1968, Corgi 275, a
Rover 2000 TC, was one of Corgi’s innovative ‘Golden
Jacks’ models. Available in green or white, it was only
the second ‘take-off wheels’ Corgi Toy, following the
launch of the Mini Marcos (Corgi 341) the previous
month. The features didn’t end there as the Rover was
also given jewelled headlights and an attractive yellow tinted
sun roof. And because the actual Rover 2000 TC
famously featured a spare wheel on top of the boot,
Corgi followed suit with a small plastic encloure that
popped open to reveal a miniature ‘Golden Jacks’ spare
wheel! Despite all these exciting features, Corgi 275’s
casting was actually based on the earlier Corgi 252
Rover 2000, which dated back to 1963.

Just received mine & I love it. Apart from the rivets, it looks exactly like an original. It blows my mind to hold a brand-new one like lucky kids would have done 55 years ago. I would love to see Corgi do the Golden Jacks models that never got released like the Lambo Miura & Pontiac Firebird.
