My mom raised me after her divorce. She guided me through it all, including childhood and adolescence challenges. She was there when I joined the military and went off to Vietnam. Including, "make sure you graduate from high school first" before the military. Long after I retired from the military she was rushed to the hospital due to a massive stroke. The most difficult decision I had ever made was agreeing with her doctors to take her off "life support". I held her hand until she went Home to Glory. This young man makes a decision based on the love and affection for his mom. I'm sure he knows "There is nothing like that of a mother's love".

@Jo Ski I had the same situation with my adopted mother. It dragged on for a couple of years though. I let my pride got in to me. I had so much resentment even after she had been gone for decades. The gospel led me to forgive. Looking back now, it wasn't the you have to find it in yourself to forgive others or to yourself. Instead, forgiveness found me and when it did, it felt as if someone reached out inside me and grabbed that huge load filled with all the resentments I had in me. I freaked out and started crying. At least you know your conviction because I didnt for a very long time.

Congratulations on your graduation Caleb. So very sorry that it took place at a time like this in your family's life. Your Mom held on so that she could be part of your graduation celebration. And a huge thank-you to whichever school official it was who came out to give you your diploma. It was beautiful that people recreated the true graduation scene for you - the walk across "the stage" to "Pomp and Circumstance", the gathering afterwards. I cried through the entire video. We see so much sadness and horror in the world these days that we start to forget how many wonderful, decent people there are who are willing to help out in a situation like yours. God bless you and your family. Your Mom will pass on knowing that her work here was done.

Life teaches us a lot. When a family is in love and disciplined , it has the true feeling and meaning . We find its real value when we see broken families, murders, suicides, and so on it is beyond one's calculations and expectations. This family shows the world the real value of human life and caring. God's mercy is always with her and the family. Love from Kerala, India.
