McLaren Ready HUGE CHANGES After AWFUL British GP!

- For one British driver, last weekend's Silverstone Grand Prix was an incredible outpouring of relief, for another it was a case of what could have been all over again. Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes F1 team did everything they could to win the British Grand Prix. Hamilton drove a faultless race and they got their strategy spot on. At McLaren, their drivers did everything they could to secure the race win, but their pit wall produced one of the biggest fumbles since the Ferrari clown wall gained its nickname at the same track two years ago. Understandably, their drivers are not happy so today, I’ll check out what happened with McLaren’s strategy at the British Grand Prix and why they really should have won, so don’t go anywhere.

As a mclaren fan watching them throw away what should have been a slam dunk 1-2 finish or minimum a double podium was so painful, I have no idea why they even gave lando the choice of tyres, you take new mediums over used softs every day of the week unless there's only a few laps left.

@@Max_Alive oscar was clearly fatser than lando and even in the wet, lewis was on soft was still faster while managing his tyres than lando who munched his tyres quickly

I think main thing we see as fans is that's 4 races in a row at 4 different style tracks we have both McClarens being competitive.
Right, the McLaren is the best car on average for the moment. But that's not enough when the competition is so close and fierce, you have to nail everything to perfection.
I thought Piastri was quicker than Norris in the race. McLaren pit wall really did stuff up the pit strategy.
More importantly: Is Lando going to emotionally crash?
Couldn't agree more! McLaren really needs to find again that winning spirit or philosophy, whatever you name it.
And that's also why Hamilton and Mercedes fans shouldn't get their hopes too high after these two consecutive wins, because they're still behind the McLarens and Verstappen's Red Bull on outright pace, without the Norris-Verstappen game of chicken and McLaren's blunders they'd still be winless. And that's not to diminish Hamilton's victory or his incredible tyre management on softs, but they're still a long way from being regular winners.
Sometimes I think McLaren is getting Ferrari's strategists xd
Maclaren need to realize that they are now the top team and that the others should be reacting to them and not the other way around.
That's Zak Brown's not "winning at any cost" philosophy.
I wanna start by saying " how the F*@ does red bull have two teams and Andrettii can't have one?" I've watched one race this year and about a dozen Indy car races.
Seriously? He's not in their club, they will do everything in their power to stop him, it's all about the money, there should be 12 teams on the grid, not 10.
I agree with you on Andretti, but RB bought the 2 teams which were already there,
Andretti should buy 1 of the teams already there and take it to America,

@phaeton_buggy1575 I'm not disagreeing with you, I do think there should be 12 teams but the way it is that's not happening anytime soon, so if Andretti wants to be part of F1 they need to buy another team
@@robertoriordan4083 I'm surprised he hasn't approached Haas, it was believed Haas wanted to get out last year, but not heard anything this year. Quite strange how things seem to be coming together under the new management.

If i was Lando, i wouldn't be such a Primadonna as he has been after the race. I would be quite happy with the podium, and move on to the next race. I mean sure, i would be annoyed somewhat. and, yea sure maybe the team calls or his call to pit for softs lost him the race. But that's F1 man. I been a F1 fan for 35 years. I cant count how many times what happened to Lando has happened to any number of drivers over all those years. Move on already. He will get there. Lastly, i think what MCL is hiding more than anything is their fear of the double stack. Thats something only champion teams do, and even they can screw it up (Merc, w/Bottas and Russel 2020?).
Piastry is tougher on tired the Lando and so a harder compound might suit his style compared to lando. It's really not worth the comparison.
Doesn't matter in this situation, look how much Max on hards was faster than both, Lando and Lewis.
If in doubt, be aggressive, be bold, set the pace, dont cover. And im sorry, but lando is not as good as Oscar.

I agree they should've done better, but cut them some slack, they're just getting to fighting for wins.

Not one driver gets an automatic win. Get over it if your driver didn't win. If a driver cries then, he cries. Move on...
