You’re not virtue signalling at all. You’ve got empathy Bertie. Too many people are afraid to express it. Everyone is trying to act like they’re unshakable and tough AF and feel nothing. Even things that make people happy, they’re just too cool to show joy. it’s lame and unhealthy. Tuv doesn’t front with that shit. And I think that’s why so many of us like him. He’s not afraid to show his feelings, jumping around when Charlie watched that first video. It made me feel good too. I was so happy for Bertie. And his community, even though the videos are dark, it’s a positive caring place. So good on 99% of you, for being real, compassionate, supportive, good hearted people. ❤

anyone who finds women coping with their stillborn babies weird, why? I can understand how it’s disturbing but to me as a woman, it’s more sad and heartbreaking than anything. People cope in different ways and if holding their children for one last time gives them comfort and closure then I don’t see the problem.
I completely agree and there’s many people that post coping videos on tiktok for many other reasons so I see no issue with it.

charlie is amazing, but his chat is a dumpsterfire unfortunately. this is more evident in part 3.
yeah I've been noticing twitch chat on most big streamers are either sea of obnoxious spam that hurts to look at or just dumbass takes, and it's just how I see emotes being irritatingly fast after being everywhere which is a me problem or that young people are on the chat and at that point I just close it immediately, sadly when watching highlights on yt you can't change that which sucks because I usually like my entertainment when I'm in the mood for it
This is just twitch chat in general, and honestly the only reason Twitch chat seems to toxic by comparison is because there aren't many other platforms hosting large live chats to this extent. I get the appeal of being able to provide your own two cents or your own side commentary, but I never really cared to look through the chat while watching these kind of videos. Twitch likes for people to feel like part of a spectacle.
If you're popular enough to have a large online presence, you can guarantee that a good chunk of your follower base are... reactionary to put it lightly. Because that's just what a lot of people are like sadly.

I agree with Charlie on the 'stillborn tiktoks'. At no point in anyone's grieving process would there be a sudden urge to post a Tiktok with the lifeless body of your stillborn. It's far more likely to be a way of getting Tiktok likes, instead of a way to cope, since they could've just did it off camera.

Especially since nowadays with the current climate of social media, most notably Tiktok, people tend to post everything online, including deeply personal moments. So sure, some of these people could be doing just that. However, there is also a great amount of people who post videos for the sole purpose of farming engagement. This could equally be that too.

Ps. Ive had the unluck of a family member having a still born baby and i agree with you that everyone copes differently in that situation. We all held "her" and spoke to her and took pictures. Its a horrific situation and i wish no one had to go through that. Major thanks to Yorkhill hospital, they were amazing.
I really respect Tuv for having empathy for the women in the stillborn part. Grief makes people act in ways that seem irrational or disrespectful. Some people do things like laugh at funerals, not because they are happy for the death of a close loved one, but because they’re at their mental breaking point and their minds are trying to cope with pain and loss they can’t deal with. It’s easy to sit back and pass judgement at these women when we’ve never been dealt with the same grief they have (and I’m sure there are plenty of women that have, but still disagree. Grief manifests differently for many people.)

this is really late but i see where both of you are coming from on the stillborn baby issue. i think that women (and people who are afab) having a community where they can share their experiences and cope with such a traumatic experience is great, but at the same time i don’t think it should be done on tik tok (an app catered towards teenagers) as it could easily show up on a minors fyp. imo it should be more of a facebook group thing where anybody who may be triggered by it or just doesn’t want to see it won’t be exposed to it. again that’s just my take, and i’m open to the opinions of others (especially those who have experienced this).

Just because you're traumatized from an event does not mean its okay to traumatize others. Let's not forget tiktok Is a kids app, no matter how many of the big creators are adults, most of the audience is minors. Seeing these videos of a dead baby, it's not just something you can scroll past and go about your day. I don't see what kinda coping mechanism that is, and just because it might be a coping mechanism does not mean it's healthy. Doing a tiktok dance with your dead child in your hands... imagine if a 6 year old got hit by a car and died, while waiting for emergency units, the parent pulls out a phone, throws their child over their shoulder and doing the say so or savage dance. I'm not going to say those mothers are horrible people, but posting those videos just isn't okay.
no one is doing dances in those situations 🤨 and ppl put trigger warnings. plus kids shouldn't even be on a 13+ app. and it's not unhealthy to cope in that way. and your tiktok fyp gives you videos that you like to see. they don't put random videos on your fyp.

Tiktok has been deemed as a "kids app" for years by the general public and once again, most of the audience are still minors. I didn't say straightup it was unhealthy. I said I don't get how it could be healthy. Your fyp gets random videos put on it all the time. The algorithm where it says, hm, maybe this person would like to see a dead body today, and make it a baby at that. Cause I didn't. And lots of others didn't as well. I'm not debating on this. I think it's wrong, end of story.
@@boogersinmouf I don't use tik tok and havent seen that trend/type of video. I don't have an issue with it inherently, but yeah it does need a content warning, a trigger warning doesn't do enough I feel.
But yeah every site is dominated by kids whether you like it or not, they just don't necessarily post/comment as much as TikTok. TikTok is no more a kids app/site than Instagram/Twitter/Snapchat etc. Stronger content warnings wouldn't go amiss, if they weren't already enforced of course.
So I agree that kids under 13 have no business being online, but we all know that will never happen so safeguards are important to establish. If it's still broken then that's on them and their parents.
