I love that your sketchbooks are always filled with cute little unique bugs and critters 🥰
I love your sketchbook tours. The colors, the cuteness. It makes me so happy to see your art.
I’m always exited to see your sketchbooks! They’re so fun and silly! If I’m being honest, I haven’t really drawn much recently, and I finally got the motivation to do so.
I love watching your sketchbooks, they really inspire me!! I tried going back to fill pages but I can´t, I mean, the pages are the way the´re suppose to be what I was felling that day so I just keep the way it is.. the journey you know!
I love the whale shark in a sweater. I think the weevil is perfect for a backpack. 😊
Sketchbook tours are always fun (and intimidating and inspirational, all at once, lol)
I always love your art! My favorite page was the one with the moles, but there were so many cute pages! Thanks for sharing. I look forward to seeing what other art you put out this year.
I’m loving your whale sharks and the color scheme of your chickens. Thanks for sharing your work and motivation.
I'm so glad you enjoyed!
Awee! YOUR Art Is Beautiful!!! I love How your Sketchbook Is Like Messy And Clean On Same Time And Your Animal drawings arw amazing k Cant Believe i Follow you almost 2 Years now And i adore your art each time!!!! I want to Say Thank you for Showing Us your process And i WISH you a Marry Chritmas And Happy New 2025 Year! WE love You Jel!!! 🎄🎄🎄🍀💚
The blue tailed skink makes me happy, I have a colony of them that live inside the structure of my porch during summer. I never knew lizards scratched their backs with both hands at once until these lil guys moved in
I love what you've got in this sketchbook! It's definitely inspired me to use more of my art supplies and try new things in my own sketchbook! Keep up the amazing work
So excited to see the other half os the sketchbook tour❤
I wish i could pick a certain moment in this video that i loved... Maybe the moles or the chickens... idk I loved seeing all your sketches! I cant wait to see another sketch tour I always get so inspired seeing these!
Thank you for this Sketchbook tour ! Spend more then an hour looking for inspiration to draw & now I want to draw Wolves :) happy holidays !
I really enjoyed the birds, the salamanders and the fish spread! They are my favourite. I also like how you try things out and use different pens.
I do have a sketchbook but it is a simple and cheap notebook I got at Aldi. It has really thin paper and I only use the right side so far because it does bleed.
However, for some reason you actually CAN use watercolour and gouache on it. Of course you will not get the proper watercolour effects but for just colouring and trying stuff out, it is actually great!
I love flipping back to see what I have drawn. I am not really good at it yet but I notice the more I draw, the quicker I am to lay down the forms.
So I guess happy practising to all
And hope you will enjoy Christmas at your new home! ❤
I love the way your spreads look! The ducks - I'm particularly in love with them! And also the chickens and the dragons. For sketchbooks, I'm midway through a stillman and birn alpha sketchbook (my second of this brand) and also midway through an a6 royal talens too. I'm liking both of these for sketching in pencil crayon!
My favorite sketchbook is the Ohuhu mixed media 8x8 sketchbook cuz the paper is thick enough to handle anything I throw at it and I don't feel limited in my creative process. Also it takes 9-12 months for me to fill so the 20 bucks is definitely worth it- and it isn't so expensive that I feel pressured to only make "good art"
Oooh the stone garden guys are so cute! I think my favorite pages were the salamanders!
I have so many sketchbooks I bounce around between. My favorite is Canson XL mixed media, but I'd love to find something with the same sort of paper but a nice aesthetic cover!
Have you ever tried the hardcover Strathmore ones? They come in all sorts of paper styles. I've got several meself of the watercolour, mixed media, and grey toned mixed media paper styles. I find them to be quite high quality and the hardcovers are very lovely. They hold stickers very well too, as I love to collage me sketchbook covers with stickers. On the outside I do larger stickers of artists I know and/or follow on social media. Then the inside covers I collage with smaller/tiny stickers. I don't leave a single space on the inside covers free. 😂 Anywho, I hope you find an aesthetic sketchbook you like m'dear. x
@ellyettepaige ooh I don't think I have, but I do love Strathmore! I use their hot press for my paintings. I'll have to look into it! The sticker collages sound like so much fun! Thank you!!
@@JasmineZellmer Welp, if you are familiar with their paper n' love em already, then there's no doubt you'll love their hardcover books. Me favourite are their watercolour hardcover books. Although, I do feel like they're kinda fancy, so I tend to do more finished pieces in those books versus just rough sketches or something ya know. A thousand apologies for me rambling luv! And no thanks needed m'dear! 😉
@@ellyettepaige no worries, I love a chance to talk art! I have the same problem with fancier sketchbooks, but I'm trying to get sketchier with 'em!
@@JasmineZellmer Almost every artist I run into has the same issue. That they are trying to be more loose with their work and actually do sketches in a sketchbook lol. Old habits are hard to break! I recently did a rough sketch n' some doodling of a piece I wanna do all finished up n' such. I found it easier to sketch out something I had a plan for, versus going into me sketchbook without an idea in mind. Because that's when I start to gravitate making it a more finished piece. I figure if I get in the habit of doing that, it'll make me more used to doing rough sketches in there and then perhaps force me to be more loose with other things. I don't think there's anything wrong though with having the sketchbooks that you do more loose work in and then the ones you do more finished pieces in. Right now mine are finished works and then the others are a mixture of finished n' loose work. And I like it that way to be honest. I don't think I'll ever own one that is all loose work. I do have a couple of art journals though and those are where I strictly just play. They're the books I have where I don't really think when creating. It's a playroom for me. Just like you would go and write in a journal or diary, I create artwork in mine. I guess you could call it m'own version of loose in a sense. I just try to turn me adhd brain off for a wee bit and let me hands take control. And here I go rambling again...I am so sorry m'dear. I don't really have any mates or anyone to chat about art with, so when I get the chance, I tend to babble away. I'll shush up now! Thank you for the lovely chat. 💜💙💜 I so do appreciate it luv. xxx
All of the dogs!!! they are so cuuuute!
your mom is good.
That one chicken you pointed to and said "I don't even know if this is a species of chicken", well it looks exactly like a Serama chicken, which is a true bantam breed. The Serama is the smallest chicken in the world. I love your chicken drawings! Hope you have a ~Merry Christmas~✝🎄
I love your art style and also how you experiment in your drawings! Thank you for the sketchbook! 💚 For me, I use various sketchbook (ohuhu, a random not intended for art journal), but the main one was one I use right now is one I found from dollar tree 😆
wow the raven/crow (sorry I never know the difference😭) drawing at the beginning is so gorgeous, the colours are amazing!! in general your sketchbook seems so colourful and fun to look through✨
I really loved to see your sketchbook that you used this year. I got inspire to visit my city's zoo and try to draw some animals from observation :)
Hi Jel! I’ve been watching your channel for some time now, and have completely fallen in love with your art style and general vibe of your channel!
Since becoming a viewer, you have inspired me to buy many an art supply (lol!) including the Talens sketchbook, the Ohuhu Waterbased Markers, the Fudenosuke pens, and the Caran d’Ache neocolors! I can’t wait to try everything out, I hope I can make something with them that’s half as beautiful as the art you make!
As for my current sketchbook, I am currently working in the Illo sketchbook, slowly but surely. 😅😊
That's so cool to hear! I hope you enjoy the supplies :)
I loveeee your art style, i learned a lot from you 💝
love love loooved the birbss
Amazing! Animals are so hard to draw, and yet you made all of them look so cute, I want to adopt them all haha
Hey JelArts! I've been meaning to ask- what brushes do you use in your digital painting and where can I get them? I just got procreate and it's still kinda hard for me
Love your content ❤
I'm going to have to check out your shop because I'm loving all your art!
I finally got one of those Talen's sketchbooks. It's in the same color as yours but a small square. I haven't used it yet but excited to, especially since I got a set of Turner Acryl gouache that is also new to me.
Your sketchbook looks so fabulous. I love all the art in it. I just finished my first TAC sketchbook and I’ve fallen in love with this brand. Already started a new one.
Sweater fish YESSSSSS 🐠
Amazing. Currently I'm sick and I don't have much time to draw or inspiration. So this helped a lot. Btw I have the same sketchbook it's even the exact same color.
Get well soon!
I was just looking for inspiration of what to add to my sketchbook!
Almost done with my eighth Illo. Needless to say they’re definitely my favorite.
I'm currently using the exact same sketchbook, but I'm not a huge fan of the off-white/cream colored paper personally. I think it fits your style extremely well since you have such a creative style that looks realistic with a cartoonish touch. And you draw animals so cutely. 13:48 - Happy New Year! It's the year of the snek! 🐍
right now i'm working on a sketchbook which is really really horrible for being used as a sketchbook iykwim - the pages all fall out as i progress through them lol so im excited to get it done and start a spiral bound sketchbook :)) only about 23 pages lefttt
11:28 kinda cool are you kidding me that’s is freaking awesome
I recently found your channel and I feel really inspired like I wanna try using watercolour in my sketchbook and stuff but it’s so annoying because I’ve FRACTURED MY WRIST and I feel inspired but I can’t draw 😭
I had a dream with a giant weevil in it. A giant dinner plate sized weevil. Fun video thanks.
Also martens are Carnivora (carnivore) - Mustilid . So carnivore mammals like dogs, cats, bears, etc. Mustelids have musk glands and also include : Wolverine, otters, ferret, weasel, skunk and stoats.
They hunt rodents and are not rodents.
FROGFISH!!! I LOVE FROGFISH
I haven’t drawn a lot but my first sketchbooks I don’t rember but all skip does and say that the first sketch book I finish was a : MixMedia XL cansón and the other one is hugeeeee I haven’t drew much in that just little thing and forgot name and the sketchbook that I’m using is called I think fabriano
❤❤
Are you Indian ? Trip to India, maped graphpeps.? A very common marker here in india
No! I visited for my friend's wedding. I had no idea that pen brand was common in India. I've had it for years - long before I visited! That's really cool though
@ it is actually a French brand . But very commonly available here
