I adored this line. Was even lucky enough to have gotten the Sears exclusive Millennium Falcon, too. I think the Gloob line was the closest we'll ever get to a Micro Collection like line, however, the Jazzwares Micro Squadron Galaxy line is the potential close second if they venture into the making playsets that are in scale with their line of vehicles.
2:00 “… and Luke Skywalker in his diaper” lol
I enjoyed mini-figures. I played with green army men and galaxy laser force, and Star Wars was an awesome step-up from those. I don't get why other kids didn't like them as much.
I loved this collection I had the Hoth; Bespin and Death Star World sets and the micro figures were so detailed that Galoob's offerings of their micro collection never even close to greatness.
Man, if given time - That would have one heck of a toy line...
I love the detail and the possibilities it gave.
Oh well....
Had a few of these after outgrowing the Adventure People scale figures. They sat on a shelf but loved them. Until they tipped over and chipped their noses. One thing no one mentions is just how popular D&D style lead figures were at the time. But these were a lot less detailed.
It's a pity they never held these back for the big SW rebirth in the mid/late 90s, they would've sold like hot cakes, with plenty of room for expansion!
I still would've preferred a proper Bespin Playset for the original 3.45 line though... 🤔✌️
They should do micro third parties.
Micro stuff is always heIIa awesome...🤘🏼💯✔️
I wasn't a child when the original Star Wars Trilogy came out. I was 15 when the first Star Wars action figures came out so I really didn't play with them. I had some of the Star Wars figures to display. I never had any of the Empire or Jedi toys. Decades later I started to collect them. I like the Micro Collection toy line quite abit....for they display well. I am not sure what I would have thought of them as a child. Still...I am sad to hear that the sales were bad!!
Thank God for Micro Machines, the Star Wars ones.
The bucket of soldiers would have been rad -- I have most of the Micro sets and it would have been cool to build up an army of storm troopers to display.
I still have all of my micro collection. 1 extra still in the box. I got them sl directly from Kenner for being a model.
I never got any of the SW Micro Collection as a kid but I really did want them! I stuck with the 3.75" figures and playsets though.
That's "Diaper Boy Luke Skywalker"😂🤣😂🤣😂 or is it Luke Skywalker in his muppet baby fatigues???
I had the four Hoth sets and the mail away rebel soldiers and snowtroopers. I also had the carbonite freeze chamber. Man, I loved the micro sets!
They were sweet. I loved my Falcon and the Bespin attachments. I wanted the freezing chamber.
They have released some more modern ones like from the Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett with the vehicles and a few characters, but I think these look a bit better.
The new Micro Galaxy vehicles are cool but the plastic seems cheap. I have some, but I have no time to enjoy them. I want the RothJ set with the Falcon and Interceptors.
Loved the micro line. I did wish the micro sets were made for the regular line when I was a kid. Of course my mom never would have bought me toys that expensive 😂😂😂
I had the portion of cloud city, where Luke gets blasted through the window, and then loses his hand on the end of the gantry
Wow Junkman, one of your best videos yet.
Impressive, most impressive!
That commercial is a blast from the past. We had the Bespin attachments. I wanted the freezing chamber. I definitely would have wanted the torture chamber and the Slave 1. The Micro Collection was sweet. I played with my Falcon a lot. Micro Jabba and Indiana Jones (Temple of Doom?) would have done been awesome.
I love the sets they released; I wish I could have gotten these.
Wow, we were robbed. I really love the Micro World collection. I have the full Hoth set and it's one of my favorite things in my collection. Would love to own the Death star and DBespin sets if they weren't so expensive. To think we could have gotten more nice add-ons to Hoth, Bespin and Death Star, as well as a Dagobah and some Jabba's Palace sets... it kills me knowing what we missed out on!
These were gorgeous sculpts. Great detail and functionality, i bet they would have been a lot of fun to play with. It's an interesting idea to focus on playsets and world-building, but trying to convince parents to invest in a whole new line... even the concept of "investing" in toys was a foreign concept. These were trinkets you gave your kids so they'd behave and/or shut up, now they're worth a mortgage payment or two... assuming the mother didnt throw them into the same landfill they put the rare comic books and priceless baseball cards. 😅
I had the Micro X-Wing and Tie Fighter that had the "break apart" feature, they were pretty well done for the time and fun to swoosh around and battle. I wanted the Millennium Falcon too but I never saw it in stores.
I had the Falcon. Maybe it sold out. It was awesome. I played with it a lot.
@@tomcruisenukedmyaccount5388 What's funny is it's worth more than the Regular Scale Falcon (I still have my complete one)
@@user-ow1jb7wg8u I wish I had mine. I want to get the new RothJ Falcon and Interceptors set for Micro Galaxy.
I remember these sets In the little catalogs . But never saw them in stores. And I spent alot of time in the toy sections.
A Home One playset would have been fun.
A bucket of soldiers now that would’ve been a neat idea if only they released it
Hey junkman thanks for sharing this
Love that micro collection thoses sets would have been fun to see created
I loved the Micro Collection as a kid. I had all of them except the Falcon. I really wished they had made more. I need to find an alternate universe where the Micro Collection really took off.
Wonderful review of the unreleased Star Wars Micro Collections. As a kid and collector of anything SW, I always thought the MC were beautiful, because they expanded the world depicted in the standard 3 3/4 line and offered other possibilities of play.
I liked the micro sets, I had the cloud city set, the Death Star, and a couple vehicles/ships. Before I got more, the line was cancelled…. I always wanted the Hoth sets
We had the Cloud City attachments and the Falcon. I wanted the freezing chamber.
All right I’m gonna put it out there right now - buckets of soldiers?... hello has lab are you listening? We would totally buy a bucket of soldiers in 3.75 inch. Now let’s get that happening!
Right? And what would it take for HasLab to care enough to make the faces (facial hair situations) differ from one another? Us fans with pause buttons know the Endor troopers are all wildly different, handlebar mustaches, full white beard on one guy, etc.
Something like the troops builder four packs, but like a bucket of troopers - 20 stormtroopers, four sandtrooper with different orange, red, white and black cauldrons. A couple of random officers or more, and maybe one special figure like a inquisitor, or grand admiral - oh, and at least a few decent droids.
I would actually buy these today. I have limited money. I have limited space. I love a cool diorama that I don't have to spend my time on.
They should do third parties.
I had these. Still do somewhere.
I have the entire line (got them when they first came out). I would have loved it if those sets had been released.
I don't see why the lack of movement for the figures would've been a weak point for this line. No different than green army men and those were a hit with kids, over several generations!
One problem I remember was the lack of an army to fight. If the bucket of soldiers came out sooner, it would have been more fun ( for me at least).
I would like Hasbro to do a retro collection version of the Micro Collection and include locations from the prequels and Disney Plus shows.
I had some of the micro machines but not these, they look pretty rad. I remember getting a few of the MM sets after I made my confirmation
Esos sets jamás llegaron a México , tengo algunas figuras sueltas y el X Wing de esta misma línea y son fantásticas ; es una làstima que la idea no prosperara, hubiera sido grandioso tener sets de El Regreso del Jedi.
I have most of the released ones. Loved these! Would have loved the planned ones as well!
I love to prototype figures at about 4.07 they look like the vac-figures you would get at the zoo.
Never saw any of the released ones in the store, unless maybe I did, but turned a blind eye to them, in disinterest to starting over in a new scale. I was already beginning to be frustrated with the lack of poseability of the 3.75", so the salt-shaker poseability of these new things would have made me rip my hair out.
STAR TREK
has great micro sets
I had the :
USS ENTERPRISE D
TNG PHASER
BORG CUBE
KLINGON BIRD OF PREY
ROMULAN WARBIRD
TRICORDER
@2:37 1984 pushed back to 1983? Hunh?
I was going to make a 3-D printed Bespin assembly room /ugnauhts breaking apart c3po i never got the chance though. And i stopped Collecting toys unfortunately.
I did make a GI Joe base add on tho. Bad ass. Motor pool, bunks, nuke/mussle silo. And a middle bridge to go between the base add ons. Maybe 1 day ill finish it all.
I had the Empire. Luke vs. Vader one.
35 years later and we still can't get a playset with PLAY value in it.All HAZBLO puts out is way over priced diaramas.
I did have a bucket of M.U.S.C.L.E. toys tho. And the 100 army men in a footlocker for $1.00 !!!
Lol, there were like 80, amd they were paper thin snd crappy plastic!
Would've been awesome
Baby Luke,Han ,and Lando agree......Disney has sold their soul.....😮
I have quite a few of these
My micro Minnie toy never produced either😢
They also had plans to expand it into DC Super Powers!
I have all the micro collection play sets. I didn’t get them when they were first released as my parents didn’t want to go to another line after spending so much on the main line. They are great, but as in play value I didn’t see much. I like them as display for sure but the figures were just too small and stayed in one position. I would have liked to see more of them but again it would have been hard to create stories and scenes outside of the main story. With my Star Wars main line I use to create brand new stories and adventures for Luke, Han, Leia.
i have a micro collection................ IN MY PANTS! / =
i had 1 set
I have two of the Bespin set and the set of the first Star War sets .
Did he say bock-ta?? 🤔
I thought these were great!
These look really fun
UghNut really LOL
Is this video part 1?
No, but this channel is full with unproduced toys from Star Wars anotherS
Yeah, I had some of this. I think it sucks and just stuck with the 3 and 3/4 stuff.
