In this episode, Terri shares two of the most frequently addressed questions/topics that she teaches her clients and members of the TFM Community. However, these are not mindset and behavioral topics but, instead, she tackles advice on choosing what to eat and explains why you might want to do fasts that extend beyond 24 hrs.

Terri's voice is so great. I was going to eat a spoonful of strawberry jam and was just listening to this on a little break and it totally reminded me why I didn't really want the jam. :)

What about for people without insulin resistance? Can we eat more whole carbs rather than going low on eating days?

How do you know if food leads to a high insulin response when you can’t measure insulin at home? Do you infer from a high glucose response? Thanks!

I had the same problem, I went to our local hospital to the prescription program for my Dad, and on the desk was a free coupon for a meter at our grocery store. I brought the needles and strips from the store cheap! Also maybe check your local grocer for meters.

Yes. If you wear a cgm, you also learn what it feels like when your glucose goes up or down. I start feeling cold but very alert when my blood glucose goes into the low 80s and 70s. I feel great.

If you use the finger pricks, test more than one finger. You would be amazed at the differences. My son works with diabetics and teaches this
