Getting Ready for Christmas

- Christmas may seem a long way off but having a stress-free Christmas season requires planning and preparation. One of the staples of a Trinidad and Tobago Christmas, indeed every Caribbean Christmas, is sorrel. I want to ensure that I have sorrel to drink, so I am planting at the traditional time of Corpus Christi to be able to reap sorrel at Christmas. The Corpus Christi holiday in Trinidad and Tobago marks the start of the wet/rainy season and so is considered a good day for planting crops. My planting is really backyard gardening and I find it an enjoyable hobby.

Good one! Christmas prep in June! Soil looks good!👍🏼😊👍🏼
Yes I thought I would give the video a different angle. The soil here is naturally rich and I make compost to enrich some areas.

Good evening Pointboy, You have a very beautiful landscape. On Corpus Christi, I planted: coriander, beet, radishes, and bunching onions, I had also set some okra seeds a week before and they all sprouted, it's a different type of okra, never seen anything like it before, so I am excited to grow them. As expected we got some much desired rain. Did you get rain on your end, hope you did, nothing fertilized like rainwater. 🌧🌧😊 My sister and I are always looking forward to your videos.
Yes we have been getting a little rain every day. You planted a lot.
love it, you are saving also, may be consider planting ginger also
I do not like Ginger Beer.
