From all speculative evolution series I've seen, this is for sure the greatest one. The biology of this is so oddly unique, but at the same time, familiarizing that it looks real. 🌅
I fw this series heavy, you manage to make it so it can be super in depth while not being boring and going over millions of years of simple uninteresting organisms
This is one of the best spec evo projects on UA-cam right now, up there with Alien Biospheres and the Isla Project. And that’s not even counting your animations. Keep up the great work!
Loving it so far, your 3D models are lovely and your detailed biology and chemistry breakdowns seem legit. It feels like youre moving pretty quickly through the evolutionary process, I think it could benefit from a simple timeline or something to emphasize the vastness of time that passes between adaptations. But thats just me. Keep doing what you're doing, i look forward to seeing where you take this series!
Just discovered this project and this channel and I want to say that you have gained a fan and a follower in me. I absolutely love how your speculative biology setting, narrative, and progression is believable and well-thought out, yet is also wonderfully bizarre in regard to the lifeforms feeling genuinely alien and abstract. Keep up the great work!
IF this project ever get to the intelligence stage i am honestly wondering how the utter and total lack of fire will effect things. Fire is the basis of our technology even now as we use it for power generation and basically all industry. I can think of a few one way but the level of mass extinction that would be triggered would be... impressive at this point so i doubt the atmosphere will change to an oxygen one like Earth's did. Though an organizm that creates fire as a form of self defense (their version of the bombadier beetle) could work i guess... looking forward to you getting to that point :)
@@Mr_42. - good to see someone else who thinks of such far off things. I have to admit i am enjoying the project so far, the detailed look at the chemical cycles are a touch so few think of. I hope to see more of this and i gotta say your graphics are doing great :)
You have a mistake by estimating pentacrab size. Hydrogen jas a lot smaller molecules, and, as a result, it's a lot better at penetrating organic matter in general and those organs of passive breathing in particular. These creatures wouldn't experience the same size limitations, as insects of earth.
Yea, I realized that too while watching this. Of course though the main limiting factor would be their initial lack of an exoskeleton like he said, but after it’s development they should be able to get much larger, although still not as large as active breathing organisms
Cool creatures can't wait to see how they would continue to evolve on land and I can definitely see the potential for the Floating islands, perhaps they could form into a Floating symbiotic reef with many organisms co-evolving with one another to sustain the reefs as they Float along the currents.
I have never seen a spec evo video series that is this thorough! Your doing pretty well.Keep up the good work. I tried to do my own spec evo project but later realised,I do not have the proper knowledge for that now. Anyways, your videos are cool, and hope to see more from you!
I liked this episode as well in structure and build up it's very similar to Biblaridion's Alien Biosphere. Good to see how these phases passing and slowly diverging. May I suggest some other forms of animals too? Simply because currently there is 2 major groups for herbivore and predator. A worm like creature, a proto bird floating gently, some kind of symbiote. Names are up to anyone who wish to give names to them.
8:37 "Animals, simply, die of starvation". You left out the ability to breath the atmosphere at this point. A fish out of water dies of suffocation, not starvation. This is really a realistic and detailed world you've made. You deserve more views IMO. I love your name. Do you have your towel? I have never stopped exploring. I'm an avid reader and lifelong learner at age 59.
On the map it looks like there's ice but since there's a lot of methane in the atmosphere which is a stronger green house gas then CO2 then ice wouldn't exist.
Great work, I really like this concept. But would you consider investing in a better microphone? The poor audio quality makes your videos harder to enjoy.
when the evolution is speculative:
Underrated. I’d say you dove into chemical processes more than any other spec evo project I’ve seen, and I respect that.
But why do the land animals need to breathe hydrogen?
From all speculative evolution series I've seen, this is for sure the greatest one. The biology of this is so oddly unique, but at the same time, familiarizing that it looks real. 🌅
7:42 I didn’t know bees were like herbivorous wasps. (This is no joke mind blowing for me)

damn, you clearly love this video. id go so far as to say you’re pentacrabs #1 fan
@@yipperson2974herm, I’d say so too, perhaps we should name him that on le discord le kids use
Yea, gl finding a spec evolution channel that slaps this hard with the models and biochemistry. Loved the pentacrabs❤
first few minutes in and we already have kelp
Oh a plant that uses the planet's fluid to grow larger with little gravitational inhibitors. It's like it is a very common thing...
@@nyxborne1786 I know but didn't think he'll give us kelp forests so soon
@@Mr-__-Sy meh it's fine. I'm glad it's earlier rather than late too be honest

im so glad you decided to explore more underwater niches, the video was amazing
floating islands blow my mind . I love it
6:34 subnautica moment. I love this series so far, the creatures look really cool and I like how you explain the evolution. Keep it up!

So happy I found this series when I can still contribute on the discord
Great video, it's great to see such beautiful models.
I can see the floating islands evolving to survive on the surface potentially. Something something higher sunlight availability.

I really like the floating islands idea in spec Evo, also, is there's gonna be creatures that lived on them?
Omg yay neew episode!! Love this
