@@ribersmopps I have another idea for a different speculative evolution project that focuses on an alternate earth where synapsids and sauropsids are on completely equal footing and equal terms with each other evolutionarily.
I *love* this idea! (Kinda reminds me of an idea I once had, for sophonts in my own project to seed terraformed worlds with species from their homeworld to see how they evolved)
@@ribersmopps Thank you! Was just an idea; my main project focuses on the evolution of life on an alien world (inspired by Alien Biospheres and similar works) but I thought of there being two other worlds in the same universe, one tidally locked and the other an ocean world, with them being explored by future sophonts. I thought about them having very simple life and ecosystems, or potentially even being seeded with life like I mentioned before, which I think would be a very interesting way to continue
@@alexroy9912 yea this is somthing I’ve thought about myself. I might give backstory to the seeding at some point, but for now it’s not something I’m rlly thinking about
@@Spqgmatt105Good question! The tongues of the exsilium porcus, much like other testum porcus, are used in a way similar to shovels. Because of this, though they don’t have jaws they can shovel out pieces of flesh with their sharp tongues.
@@marxtheenigma873 The pulmol plates are acting more as nostrils or the spiracles of insects while tubes inside the body carry air throughout the organism. At the base of the pulmol plates, however, there are small lung-like organs though they aren’t as efficient as our lungs. They’re also hard structures which helps keep the semi-hollow spongy insides from drying out. They are very vulnerable part of the testum porcus and predators will learn to take advantage of the pulmol plates, leading to the evolution of more efficient and less hazardous respiratory systems.

I love this concept! It’s a very refreshing change to the usual seed world projects
I want to see a seed world project where alien life is seeded on an alternate earth where multicellular life never evolved!
Oooo yea that sounds like an idea with a lot of interesting potential!

@@MarshalMarrs-eu9yhOmgosh that’s a really cool idea too! You planning on bringing any of these ideas to life?
@@ribersmopps it truly another interesting idea but I’m unable to bring any of those ideas to life because I suck at writing and drawing.
Huh, that's interesting. Maybe I will get to see that mixed Alien/Earth life seed world project that I've been waiting for.
@@jessejarmon2100 unfortunately that’s not the direction I’m taking the project, cool concept tho!
Wow, I've never considered a truly alien seed world, kudos on the very unique idea! I'll be making sure to keep an eye on this one, good luck!

Their respiratory organs are just exposed like that? And in air where they might dry out? Seems hazardous. How's it work?
