May she and her crew sail safely.I have a friend here in australia who worked on ulcc/vlcc ships as a cadet then captain for 40 years.I work as a volunteer deckhand on steam powered paddlewheel boats here in australia and my friend had told to me about big ships like this one that i find it interesting to see on here.
These big ships are called "lakers" because they only sail the great lakes of North America. If they went out on the ocean they wouldn't last very long!
Could be. She is probably a very nice lady and she actually does know that ships don't ply the lakes, boats do so she knows more than a lot of people who live on the shores of the great lakes.
