- Back when Dead Space came out, it was a breath of fresh air from EA. Dead Space was an original IP when EA was focusing on franchises. Dead Space pulls heavily from Resident Evil 4, and showed that you could make a horror game with a more action-oriented survival horror mechanic.

Do you find it easier making videos like this where its primarily gameplay, vs videos where you are in the video more, for example, in the Red Dead Redemption 2 video, you had you on horse back riding and the skit at the end?
Oh, meant to answer this!
It honestly depends. The Red Dead 2 video skit took months of planning (with horseback riding classes, organizing a place and time I could shoot the skits, organizing the actors) - so it was more difficult on the front-end (plus much more expensive). But, editing primarily gameplay takes forever in my style - so sometimes it's nice if I have more on-camera stuff as the editing portion doesn't take as long, and it kinda gives me a break from editing.
But, if the on-camera stuff is easier to shoot, it basically gives me a break from the editing. (Plus I feel like the mix overall helps with the pacing of the videos, personally).
Nicole wasn't a necromorph, she was a hallucination. You have to take some of what happens with a grain of salt, like for example the fact that that part where you have to defend her from the necromorphs didn't happen the way we experience it, but the part where Kendra talks about hallucinating her dead brother was meant to be a clue about what is going on with Nicole.
Also, my god Dead Space is one of the most pessimistic scifi settings I've ever heard of. They acquire resources by carving up and systematically dismantling planets.

i cant help but see the pbg influence. or rip off that you do. its whatever but its obvious. i still like your stuff. just the skit is very very noticeable.
You’re free to think that, but I actually don’t watch PBG. I was influenced by JonTron when I first started this series a long time ago (I’ve been moving my content to this channel while working on new stuff), but anything else is honestly purely coincidental if it’s similar to PBG.
Similarly, I’ve been told I “ripped off” Scott the Woz, who started making his videos years after I started making mine. I think sometimes people just have similar humor sensibilities.

PBJ relies on his humor more then making good content imo. your videos have stuff that is actually interesting and knowledgeable on video games. i started binge watching your videos and am glad i found you.
