I bought a Sega CD for this. | Popful Mail
I've been wanting to play Popful Mail for as long as I can remember. Ever since I saw a Popful Mail ad for the Sega CD in a gaming magazine, I WANTED it. But... I didn't have a Sega CD, so the dream never came true... UNTIL NOW! Time to finally play Popful Mail and see if it would live up to my hopes and dreams.

I didn't even know until I started writing this video that there was a Popful Mail for Super Famicom and a Popful Mail for the NEC PC-8801, PC-9801, and port for the PC Engine (TurboGrafx-16). The game was localized by Working Designs, who had a catalog of anime-style games I adored as a kid, like Lunar: Silver Star Story and Albert Odyssey, making me only more so wish I could get my hands on Popful Mail.

Dave Does Resident Evil Village
Переглядів 2,1 тис.2 роки тому
Resident Evil Village is here, and filled to the brim with interesting spooks. I had an absolute blast going through RE Village and finding the similarities between other Resident Evil games I loved, like Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 7, and of course, a taste of that OG Resident EVil. While Resident Evil Village might not be for everyone, I truly had a blast. Creepy song at the end: Chloe's L...

Back when Dead Space came out, it was a breath of fresh air from EA. Dead Space was an original IP when EA was focusing on franchises. Red Dead Redemption 2 - A Modern Western Epic
Переглядів 1,2 тис.3 роки тому
Red Dead Redemption 2, the prequel to Red Dead Redemption, is the first of the Red Dead games I’ve had the fortune to play. I started it without any real thought I’d make a video on it, but I quickly fell in love with the game, and was inspired to make my own Western style sketches around it. Also, growing up loving the Clint Eastwood “Dollars Trilogy”, it was a huge amount of fun to combine th...
Ghost Trick - The Most Underrated Nintendo DS Game (& iPad)

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective was created by Shu Takumi of Phoenix Wright fame... and sadly a game I missed out on when it first came out. Luckily, Ghost Trick was released to the iPad, and I had a chance to grab it on there. The game is so, SO good, and unfortunately rather obscure. So, I wanted to make a show talking about this obscure gem of a game, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective! www.patre...

Mario Sunshine - The Best 3D Mario Game?
Skies. Damn bruh. Ryudo is my dude tho
LOL this entire video is so stupidly overdramatic, it proves the excellency of the game outright. Thank YOU!
And I think you might be a sunshine pickle...
Youre a slightly clunky platformer
Not true... Mail and tatto are way quicker than gaw
I loved Grandia 2. The crazy story with its massive religious plot twists. Craziness. I loved it. But yeah I have to say I give Skies of Arcadia a higher score IMO. But yes. Those insane random encounter rates HOLY GOD stop it. Also Millenia <3<3
i believe nothing this fool says
You don't need a manual to learn the controls? You've got to be kidding. Why waste your time learning by trial and error when you could read a manual? And besides that, there may be some controls you'll never learn by trial and error. But then you'll miss out on some of the fun of the game or make it harder on yourself.
In 89 I wrote a letter to Tecmo US to ask for hawk counciling. Not for me, but for the hawks. They hate humans, especially blue ninjas. They gotta fix them birds.
Skies of Arcadia will always be Dreamcasts best jrpg
Still great, I’d watch super show after MAX0R
This game definitely is in my top 10 RPGs of all times, I love the graphics the story and the music was amazing
I played this game 25 or 26 years ago. I died quite a lot of times. 😅 Remake, remake, REMAKE... please.
Best for me is still Skies of Arcadia, but Grandia a very good following 2nd best. Both Games still stand the test of time quite well and I played both extensively in the days. Currently replaying SoA and will replay Grandia 1 and 2 as HD remaster after that.
Ship, Dat Ass , frickin broke me bro, subbed
Good video. I had The Immortal on the NES as a kid and did my best to figure out that maze of puzzles and death. I tried to get back into it on the Genesis but it was a loose cart, no manual so I didn't even figure out how to fight and gave up quickly. Now that you show me I need to hold the C button I think it's worth giving it another go (of course with Gamefaqs open at all times :-)
"Best JRPG ever" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Maybe one of the better beginner JRPGs, but if you think Chrono Trigger is the best JRPG of all time, then you need to play more JRPGs.
I beat this game a lot more than Castlevania mainly because of the smooth, snappy controls. Although I do love this game, I strongly prefer Ninja Gaiden 2, the sequel. Though I have yet to beat Ninja Gaiden 3...
Damn! I wish i found this channel sooner! You're great, but i see that your last video was 2 years ago sadly.
He has a main channel (equally dead unfortunately) and makes entertaining videos on gamespot
Fan fact the place of Granas saber fall down from the cutscene is Ukraine so basically Granas cliffs is the Dnipro river =)
RIP
Fantastic video! Really glad, that UA-cam let me know about your channel! Surprisingly small attention to THIS much content. Nice jokes, dynamic storytelling, and in general I really love jrpg content - and here it all came together in one place! Thank you for the video
How old is this guy? Doesn't really look old enough to have been into SegaCD back in the day hahah.
Christmas 94 this was top of my list for sega cd to add to lunar and sonic cd I had. The game was not in any of my local babbages or electronics boutique stores. Unfortunately I got a 3do that year, what a hot mess that system was… would have much rather played this game and not have had my parents waste money on the 3do
Buying a Saturn was the right move, Sega CD died faster than the Saturn 😂
Skies of Arcadia by Sega was way better.
Grandia 2 is brilliant and was terribly underappreciated in its time. Glad to see it getting love. Lots of people are coming in here mentioning Skies of Arcadia but that game is probably the single most overrated JRPG of all time.
It's Skies of Arcadia. 😁 But I like both :) I like them so much that I'm modding both atm. Millenia's Spellbinding Eye trivializes all bosses where's she's in the party (and most Cancel S-Moves at a much less extreme point).
I played Grandia 2 back in about 2001 on the Dreamcast. My cousin sold me both Grandia 2 and Skies of Arcadia. I happened to play Grandia 2 first. It's what got me into RPG's and Skies of Arcadia solidified that. Both legendary games that hold a special place in my memories. I have both original copies to this day
Me too! I too still have both original games. Rever regretted spending that money.
This game broke kids. Hardest game I've never finished
👋👋👋
How this man has 1k views in is a crime!
Valmar Core: Hard fight Grandia 2 Anniversary Hard Mode Zera Valmar: Hold my beer
Too bad cancel + Millenia's Spellbinding Eye trivialize the entire game.
very grandiapilled
For me the best are FF8, 7, and 10. 6 is alright, not my favorite, but not any where near my least. Those are 13 and 9.
Dark could music 👌🏻
I did like that Millennia took an immediate liking to you because, well, Elena already had. Also, you skimmed over one of my favorite parts, and something that touches on the fact that's she's Elena's repressed side. When she tricks Elena and goes to rip the horns out of Ryudo she hesitates. Her mission, her compulsion, she fights it and in a moment of fantastic voice acting that was heart-wrenching screams she can't do it.
Hidden Gem? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Noone remember of it and Will Harvey has disappeared forever after this game...
There are a ton of videos about it and it regularly appears on hidden gems lists. Come on man.
I really liked this game. The only issue I remember having was that it was so short. It pissed me off. Left me wanting much more.
I picked this up on a whim as a rental..the late fee I wracked up until my folks just bought it. I don’t think I ever really cared for any RPGS prior, and my 12 year old brain thought Mileania was super attractive lol but I beat this whole thing, headphones on listening to Significant Other lol, living the early 00 life. The story was awesome, the characters the long ass story, the multiple party characters…i often want to revisit but I don’t know if I have the time and I don’t want to potentially take those rose tinted glasses off to see it in new eyes 20 plus years later. It just holds incredible memories at its time
Oh man, huge missed opportunity lol there's a dialogue between Mail and someone, I think slick, where she asks if he's retarded lol
Really enjoyed this video!😂
You can definitely step dodge on chained ogre grabs but you have to time it well
Hey Dave, just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your videos, and it’s really a shame you haven’t gotten more traffic. I love that you mix the funny with the seriousness in these videos and I just wanted to tell you. Man, I really dig this!
I remember talking to the zora guys girlfriend. The lead singer of the band i think when you impersonate him. Very messed up. The father of the dead deku scrub who you "look just like" and him crying in the credits at the end. Man. This game was disturbing to play as a kid.
Best mix of adventure and rpg mechanics ever really for a long time. Breath of the Wild does a good job though of filling that itch for me though
"Golden nuggets found in shit" Bro, why did you stop making videos? Your humor and editing quality are from a time before the censorship.
Aww, thanks! These videos took me around 100-200 hours to make each, and just weren't successful enough. I still might go back and do one here and there for fun - but I have a full time job & am developing games on the side. There's a script I have nearly finished for one, plus props, so I'd like to get around to finishing it.
@@SuperDaveControl just put less effort into the editing. Cut half the stuff out.

Awesome review. Currently replaying it on Switch.
