- I have been playing a lot of Gran Turismo 7 with the Hori RWA. The wheel does the job but there are somethings that I had to figure out. Here are the five things that I think you should know about this wheel.

Hello i have got a question regarding the pedals. I have been experiencing this issue for quite some time now when i try to use either the brake or the throtle there is no response is there an issue with the pedals that can be solved or should i try to replace them?
To me I would try to get a replacement. Seems like the setting on the wheel itself won’t fix anything.

Can I use this Hori steering wheel for the "CITY CAR driving "app installed on my PC? I'm a newbie getting my driver's license.
I can’t give you a definitive answer because I haven’t played that game but this wheel works on most games. I have had very good success so I think it would.

There isn’t really feedback, it’s spring loaded.
Do you know what games this wheel is compatible with? I just got this wheel for Xmas from my boyfriend and want to know what games I can play it with on PS4. I got need for speed heat but having trouble connecting the controller to the game. It's working but not in game if you get me. Any help would be great!
Most games you just need play with the settings on top of the wheel itself. Some games only work on steering mode where others work on normal. You also may have to change the other settings as well. Sometimes if you play a ps4 game the big button on the center of the controller seems to be missing on the wheel. The only game I have heard multiple people have trouble with is The Crew 2. Hope this gets the wheel working for you!
The wheel aint small... I have small hands for a male 20 yo.
I think it’s perfect but most other wheels are bigger.

There is no headphone jack unfortunately. I love headsets so I have to plug it directly into the tv/monitor or add a second controller on PS5 and plug the headset into that.
Do you have problem with its brake? I use it for PS4 version GT7 and alway encounter the problem of no full brake in game. Sometimes only have 20% of the bar. Already changed for a new pedal set from the dealer.
is this for gran turismo 7?
I would like to ask what is the difference of normal and steering mode? assuming that both modes are supported by the game. Thanks
I’m not exactly sure what the difference is. Like you said some games only support normal mode. I have been using steering mode in gran turismo 7 and it has been a great experience. Steering just feels better than normal.
I just want to add on and say that when you use the PS4-S mode, you are able to use the racing wheel and the controller at the same time. Other than that, I don't think there is much of a difference.

When you put it on normal mode, it basically function as a controller. If you put it on steering mode, it's a steering wheel and not a controller. Very hard to explain, but keep it on steering mode, since it's WAY smoother and it reacts properly
@@stvnlp I always kept mine on PS4-N mode, I found it more enjoyable. Not to mention, most games don't work on PS4-S mode. At the end of the day it's all about preference.
hello,im a bit late but is this steering wheel good for euro truck sim 2? you know in just driving games and not always on racing ones
It isn't on the list of games but every game that I have tried with the wheel it has worked. It works on GTA, Farming simulator and snow runner. Its a very basic wheel, gets the job done and makes games more real.

I can’t get the audio to work with the controller aswell it Dosent let me assign them together only a new controller so I can’t here the sound any advice (ps5)
You could try the other setting on top of the wheel. Sometimes that makes a difference. The only game I had trouble with the sound was crew 2.
Im not sure if i should buy this wheel or thrustmaster t128... i mean the price difference is like 50$ but still both of them seem like a good choice.. what would u recommend?
I haven’t owned the thrustmaster but it seems the big difference is force feedback. If you want some kind of force feedback then you gotta go with the thrustmaster. Also seems like a lot of reviews say the wheel is small.
The hori wheel is very nice to start with and doesn’t have force feedback. I understand your problem. Kinda hard to choose.

I can’t figure out a good set up for me. I bought this because I broke my finger holding down the r2 button for 10 hours straight for a month. Literally.
Please help with some settings
I have everything set the way it came right outside of the box. All the settings are at purple. If you don't like these setting then I would recommend maybe going less responsive. Change the steering and pedals to red or even less responsive yellow. It too me a long time to get good with the wheel. I was much better with the controller at first.

I think the instructions are backwards. I saw a video where someone was saying that and then I put my breaks all the way to white and it didn't respond good (when it was supposed to be most sensitive) then I turn it all the way to green and it's like my breaks stopped instantly.

A bit late but do you know if other pedals are compatible with the Hori wheel? Can I use a different set of pedals?
The pedals are hard wired to the wheel you would really have to go out of your way and even then it might not work.
Hello mate, I’m struggling to assign both my controller and the wheel to my profile at the same time so I can hear the sound whilst driving, it only accepts either the controller or the wheel, any idea how to fix this?
Yes try switching through the modes on the top of the wheel. Go from steering mode to normal.

hello i've been playing f1 with this steering wheel and i've noticed that sometimes the car downshifts when i don't downshift myself. I tried the command and this problem no longer happens can you help me?
I haven’t heard of anything like this. To me it sounds like there is something up with the wheel itself.
Maybe this response is way too late but anyways. You need to turn off the vibrations. That can trigger multiple buttons to turn on

This is a great beginning wheel. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles but for me a causal racer it works great. Not too sure on the thrustmaster. I have heard great things about the brand.
I have a problem with the pedals i use them and the wheel for f1 21 and when i brake it it says in game that im braking only 50% even tho im putting the brakes down fully
The only thing I could think of that might work would be to adjust the pedals so they have more sensitivity.

Hey! That's awesome your going to buy the wheel! You will have lots of fun with it. If its your first wheel its going to take sometime to get used to it. The Pedals are hard to get in the right spot and can move so you may have to put something in front of them. I think its one of the best wheels to get started with. What game are you going to be playing with the wheel?

Definitely. Its very easy to use and setup. It is spring loaded so there isn't much resistance on the wheel. I played horizon 5 and had a lot of fun with it.

I think so! Its not a huge wheel but if its your first wheel I think its a really good choice. I guess it really depends on how far you want to take your setup. Have fun!

I haven’t played 2022 but if it works for 2021 it’s hard for me to believe it won’t work with the new game.

Hey guys, is it normal that my wheel has deadzone and doesn’t steer in the game right away? Any tips how to fix it?
Mine came perfect out of the box but you can change a lot of the settings. There is another channel that did a great video on how to change the settings on UA-cam. It comes right up on search. Hope it helps.
I’m looking to be using this for forza 5 just to really chill and drive around or even gta rp would it be good for those games
I have the ps5 edition but played mostly on gran Turismo and enjoyed it. I didn't like GTA because I couldn't get all the controls.

It works for GTA and it should work for need for speed but I haven’t tried it personally.

Logically it should, I have the same when for Xbox and it worked for every racing game I have 🤷🏾♂️
The wheel has worked with every game that I tried. But people have been having issues with The Crew 2. Not sure if Ubisoft made motofest similar. For example it doesn't bring the wheel mapping control setting in game. Maybe hold off on buying it if its the only game you play.

Okay so my main problem with the wheel isnt with the wheel but with the pedals, I use it for f1 22 on the ps5(its my first ever gaming wheel and wanted something cheap) i noticed that i reach 100% break and 100% gas with about 80-85 % pressure on the pedal. Do you know how i can set my settings in a way that allows me to fully use the pedals
I would try adjusting the pedal sensitivity. Hold down assign for 3 seconds the hold down the Excelerator for 3 seconds then you can use the d pad to increase the sensitivity. Light blue then white is the most sensitive.

The wheel also apparently has a companion app which helps with setting changes
I have bought this a couple days ago can you post a video on how to set it up because I can't get mine to work in race room experience or at all I play it on pc please let me know if I'm doing something wrong or if I need a software.
You should not need software. You probably have a wrong setting combination on top of the wheel. What are you playing on? Ps4, ps5 or pc?

@@BryanTechCorner when I plug it in it it pops up as a controller like if you hook up an Xbox controller and if I press the center putting it opens steam big picture mode

There are two versions. The new one is for ps5. I am happy with how it feels. It’s a decent plastic with a nice rubber grip where your hands go.

It does work on pc. I haven’t tried many games for pc though so I can’t tell you for sure if it will work with that game.

Any game that supports XBox controller inputs(XInput) will support most any racing wheel. Force feedback is another story, but you can use a wheel on practically any game.

hey bro i bought this wheel and i can play only a few games i bought druveclub need for speed heat and assetto corsa and i can only play driveclub the other 2 dont work with this wheel but i saw that the older version works for every game could u help me?
I don’t think there is any software that could help this issue. If there would be it would be on the hori website. What helped me the most was trying different combinations on top of the wheel. For example if steering mode doesn’t work try normal mode. Every game is a little different depending on the developer. Hope you get your games working!

Is the same racing wheel for consoles + PC or is there a racing wheel for each system?
There are two kinds. The one I have for PlayStation and PC and one for Xbox and PC.
Is it compatible with Wheel Stand Pro Thrustmaster F458?
Thats a good question. I don't own one of these stands. I do know if your going to use the Apex wheel a lot you probably should get something like this to help the pedals stay in place.

I like it. It’s not perfect but it works. There is no vibration or resistance and it takes some time to get the foot pedals in the right place. I had to put something on front of them so they don’t slide. Other than that I think it’s worth it if you want to get into racing with a wheel.
If you read your user manual it says it can be adjusted to either 180 degrees or 270 degrees.

On the crew 2 it should, im thinking about buying one too.
It works on crew 2. The only problem I had was on the audio side. I use a monitor without speakers and I couldn’t get my controller and wheel to work together so I could use my headset.
@@BryanTechCorner just got mines in the mail yesterday. It works perfect on the crew 2. For audio, I put the steering wheel on the account that i play on, then the controller on my alternate so i can still talk and hear people. Thank you for the info! and since it identifies as a controller in a way you can play it on other games like GTA, Heat etc

I don't have any experience with the PXN wheel. I do like my Hori wheel a lot even though it isn't perfect. It is a good size and feel and its very adjustable. I think its one of the best wheels to get started with. I play driving games very casually so it works perfect for my case. I have used lots of different driving games and they all worked well. I do think you will have fun with either one and they will get you going.

Can I use a gear shifter with the wheel?
I don’t have a shifter but I would have to say no. This wheel is very basic plug and play option.
Will it be compatible with Assetto Corsa on PC?
I haven’t tried that game myself but I haven’t had any issues on any plate form console or PC.

I don't have the Xbox version but since its Microsoft based it will work with PC. I have the PS version and I downloaded game pass on PC and played Forza Horizon 5 and it worked great. Very easy to set up kinda plug and play. I could do a video. What would you wanna see? just how to set it up and how it works?

The one in this video is a coavas folding desk I bought on Amazon. It’s a little small but works great if you don’t have a lot of space.

Once it’s plugged into the console and the console is on you hit the big circular center button.

Hi, are you sure that there is no vibration? This wheel should have a rumble.
I emailed Hori and they said the wheel doesn’t have it. Others have told me they got vibration on theirs. I know the older model did but not sure about the new model.
@OptimusRudd thanks for your reply, I am confused about either getting the V9 or the Apex, I don't like 2 things about the V9, one is the build quality as I think Apex is better and the other thing is the higher tilt of the V9, can you help me the last time by informing me your preference between those 2 wheels? @@armenberj9158 I don’t have the v9 but I did some research on it. I do agree with you about the angle of the wheel not sure why they did that. It is nice that they have a shifter and clutch pedals and that the pedals are metal. I just play casual racing so the hori apex does the job for me. It’s not fancy but I have fun with it. I think at the end of the day you can’t really go wrong with either one of these. Definitely a hard decision totally understand where you are coming from.

Tough Question! I don't own the T128 but I looked up some of the specs and I like the force feedback and more rotation. I do think both are good to start and to have fun with.
I have been trying to play the crew 2 with this wheel and I just can't use it. It just won't work, my car isn't doing anything I can only go into my PS4 menu.

You don’t need a controller for most games I haven’t had any issues. And yes it works with gta 5

Thats is strange. Mine doesn’t vibrate but i have had others talk about theirs working. Not sure if there are different version with vibration.

I can! My was pretty easy to setup for ps5 but not sure on ps4. I will give it a try
Try putting the micro switch to ps4 and the other one to normal not steering

Can you use it for every game?
From my experience is works on most games. There hasn’t been any of my own games that it hasn’t worked with.
My hori apex rwcing wheel has no feedback at all. I can use it in gran turismo 7 but when I turn it it feels that same as it does when I turn it when it’s not connected to anything. Like what the hell
You can try changing the sensitivity but it’s very basic so you don’t have too many options.

No unfortunately not. There are not many options for both Xbox and PlayStation.
Can I use this wheel for CarX?
I haven’t personally played the game but I did a quick search and found someone using the wheel with carx. I have used the wheel with lots of games and have not had any problems.

I haven’t played the newest version but this wheel has worked on the F1 series for a couple years now so it should work on 2022.

I have never played that game but the wheel has worked on all of the games I have tried. Since its an older game I don't see why it wouldn't work for you.

It doesn’t come apart very easily. There are a few screws at the bottom.

I don't own that game. But the wheel has worked well with most games that I tried with it. This wheel gets the job done. A good upgrade from controller.

what game are you playing? Did you try changing the inputs in on the top. For example going from steering to normal. Every game is different when it comes to this settings.
I am trying to play crew Motorfest I got it to work and connect but for some reason it doesn’t bring the wheel mapping control settings in game

I figured cause all the videos of I’ve watched anytime they plug in a wheel it creates pretty much a whole new steering setting option what about the crew 2 do you know I’m using the wheel and driving but it won’t let me click into wheel mapping
No it doesnt work for some reason. Its not on the official list of games for the wheel. I have tried crew 2 and it works okay with cars but flying and using the wheel mapping doesn't seem to work.@@dark_jester4253

Sometimes it just comes down to the switches on top of the wheel it self. Every game is a little different. Chose the plate form your on first ps4, ps5. The try either steering or normal. It should work with one or the other.

This wheel doesn’t have force feedback. Someone did mention you might be about to download something but I couldn’t find any information by doing a quick Google search.

Did your wheel come like that? Or did it just start doing that? I don’t think there is much you can do outside of shutting it on and off. I would contact the company. Maybe they can give you a new one because that’s not right.

I haven’t played the wheel with the new game but I know it works with 2021. So it would only make sense for it to work with the new game.

@@BryanTechCorner I have a monitor. I have a headphone. I have a BT speaker. I have a pair of speaker with amplifier. None of them works. Only with the controller via 3.5 jack.
@@szentagostonka mhmm. I just tried my wheel on a tv and two monitors. I didn’t have a problem. I would try different settings on the monitor. If not you may have to reach out to the company. Hope you can get it figured out 🤞
