Amen. Christopher Reeve was a true Man of Steel for his courage after that horrible equestrian accident in 1995.
Thank you Christopher Reeves for your flight for stem cell research. Over the last year or so I had a lot of problem walking because of a severe fracture in my ankle. When I had surgery again last May I had a stem cell transplant in my ankle bone. Because of the stem cells my ankle grew back to normal and I've been able to walk with no pain again. I'm so happy to walk and be out of a wheelchair. Christopher Reeves had a lot to do with that and I am so grateful and a big advocate for stem cell research. You weren't just Superman on the screen you were a Superman in real life
Don't forget to vote for the candidates who believe in scientific research.
Too many people are still suffering!

The greatest actor of his generation and no one can ever play Superman as good as Christopher Reeve did. He made us believe a man could fly. My favorite character and actor of all time.

Why does 2004 footage look like 1980s? I was in my teens in 2004 and do not remember these TV footages looking so old.
I still remember that day when Christopher Reeve died! My mom is a pediatrician at Northern Westschester hospital which was where he died. Not only that, I was there with her on that very same day! Such a great loss! May he Rest In Peace!
God bless this gentle giant; He was genuine spokesman for research in spinal cord injuries. Now he is free of a wheelchair and can fly forever. God bless you Christopher for your contributions to the advancement in the study of stem cells; I'm sure those who unfortunately suffer daily and who had no prospect of ever walking again, can now look to your story for strength and hope! May you fly forever Christopher with the angels!
I still remember the shock when the news arrived of his accident let alone his passing. His autobiography 'Still Me' is the best book I've ever read so if you haven't read it hunt it out.

Long will Christopher Reeves be remembered for his demeanor as an actor and a gentlemen. I shall never forget his portrayal as Richard Collier in the movie "Somewhere in Time' with Jane Seymour.
That movie has haunted me as the absolute romantic love story I have ever watched and the accompanying music was simply out of this world. May Chris R.I.P. and may God bless him.

what makes me really sad is Reeve once said that there was a person who was more paralyzed than him but could recover & become normal again but Reeve himself couldnt. that really broke my heart hearing that. but atleast now he's happy in heaven with his beloved wife (Dana Reeve) & beloved friend (Robin Williams) ^_^

Today is Thursday, October 10, 2024.
It was twenty years ago today that we lost the actor who provided the greatest cinematic interpretation of the Son Of Krypton.
He may no longer be here yet Christopher Reeve is now and always will live on courtesy of the legacy he created for himself onscreen as well as the accomplishments he made, especially after he was no longer able to have the use of his whole body.
Yet, he didn't let himself sulk in bitterness and self-loathing.
Instead, he strived to give everyone who was in his predicament a second chance to enjoy moving again.
What an extraordinary man he was.
Farewell, Kal-El.

Charles klKrauthammer MD, a spinal- cord injury victim, once said it's irresponsible to think that spinal-cord injury research is making any progress.
Krauthammer said it was a cruel joke to make spinal-cord injury victims believe they could ever walk again.
