Finally found it… Battle of the monster trucks ! Watched this over and over as a kid thanks for sharing this video.
I must have worn out about 3 copes of this tape when I was a kid. Had my own mudpit for my toy trucks in the backyard and everything. Thank you so much for uploading this so I can experience it again as an adult
Lol exactly
Gosh I used to watch this all the time as a kid. The music alone makes this VHS one of the best VHS releases out there!
Thankfully this and Return and War of the Monster Trucks are available on DVD, these sure bring me back to my childhood
No safety whatsoever! Lol! Art Arfons sitting between 2 jet engines, open face helmet, no fire suit. Pure badass
yea but you were talking about a guy that held the land speed record, and really was a pioneer in the use of jet engines in autosports, also he was the father of tim who is the driver of the funnycar green monster I belive later called starfire that is in the indoor pulling event, hard though for the turbine tracters to get a grip with the newer sleds they use they just spin the wheels too fast or so I was told by a guy that was one of the officials at the bowling green nationals, never got to see art pull in life though but saw gardnerston and the general mark 4 the first time I went to fort recovery in 1994 If I remember correctly that summer, he did not win that day though, it was one of the banner brothers that day, but they were good pullers when they were in it always were.
makes me a bit sad, as I love the sound of the turbine engines always did even wanted to learn about them and make a monstertruck with one, since I have known of none that use a turbine, though I see from studying there is a good reason for it as its a constant turbolag and just keeps building, not to mention the fuel consumption, when you are running a monstertruck you want all that power to take off, not to mention change direction when they steer. nor do I have the financial means to buy a turbine of that size
Monsters Trucks were so awesome and cool in the 80s
Thank you for posting. Makes me feel like a kid again.
The Nostalgia from this is unbelievable. This and WWF wrestling was my childhood.
Monster Trucks, Nintendo and WWF. 80’s/90’s kids had thee best childhoods
I used to watch this show on VHS with my Dad when I was little! this brings back so many memories 🙂 RIP dad
Awesome memories. We rented these from Aardvark Video in the 1980s.
Anybody else notice that the Jeep's machine gun is poniting right between ol' Claude's shoulder blades during that intro on the beach?
From my experiences on public firing ranges, Korea veterans and boomers are not exactly known for firearms safety
It's hard to believe that Bigfoot is almost 45 years old.
Yeah, aged like fine wine :)
50
😬
Brings back fond memories of me being a 12 year old boy watching this on VHS video time and time again.
Omg thank you for this. I watched this once a week when I was a kid. Love it.
Wow, i haven't seen this in decades, the nostalgia is real
The glory days of pickup trucks
I love monster trucks
I had this on VHS and watched it once a week. bringing back the memories
Must have watched this on VHS 1000 times as a a kid back in the 80's, and it still entertains me now nearly 40 years later!! And to hear that these guys are only in their 20's!! Man, I used to think that was ancient when I was still only 7 or 8, and even now I'm mid-40s I find it incredible that they were able to build these awesome machines being so young...
I grew up on these tapes. And it was so much fun to go see the shows. Monster jam ruined it. It's so cheesy now, it's like watching pro wrestling
My childhood belonged to Bob Chandler...
That sounded wrong 😂
I still have this on vhs (alas no vhs player). Thanks for sharing and bring back childhood memories.
xrayracer1 you can get on dvd a three disc set
Ive got 4 vhs players that still work like brand new
Haha as soon as the music played I knew this was the one I had as a kid lol
I had War of the monster trucks on VHS when I was a kid and I had never seen the first two installments of the series until now!
you must be a pretty badass when yo don't care that a loaded machine gun is aiming at you the whole time
I still have the VHS tape
Jason Birchmeier same
I got the complete VHS set for Christmas. Needless to say, it was a great Christmas. Watched them for years, gave them to a nephew after buying the DVDs.
He loves seeing what came before Monster Jam. Thanks for posting.
I got all 3 for christmas one year as well wish i could find them they are in my storage somewhere i believe
Thank you so much for uploading the trilogy of these, I lost mine awhile ago and could only previously find "War".
I had return of the monster trucks and wore that vhs out!!! Brings back soo many memories
Awesome monster trucks
RIP Gary Lee
Sad, all of the announcers from this show are dead now.
@@nathanmcdonald610 Judy Landers is still alive
Wow, I haven't seen this in forever!
Childhood returns. Too cool. Thanks man!
The WILDS of Canada!!! U wouldn't believe it!
The best! I couldn’t stop watching these tapes
Thank you for sharing this! I wore out my VHS copy when I was a kid.
How did you transfer the footage from the tape?
That Psycho truck was the coolest ever! Anyone know what ever happened to that truck or the driver? I know Allan Gaines still has his Orange Blossom Special & his other creations in pristine condition not that far from here over 30 years later!
Oh that's a bummer to hear, it's always sweet when any of the old school trucks get restored or even just brought out again with the wear & tear. But thanks for the info!
I remember watching this
Love these old videos. Thanks for posting it.
18:13 cool then cool now. Best memories ever. Thank you uploader
I love every thing about battle of the monster trucks
I was a little kid at one of the events seen in these videos. I've been trying to find me, my brother and Father in the stands!
25:06- huh, Avenger before it was driven by Jim Koehler
I had the follow up on faded VHS 😂
"......sixty-six inches tall, eleven feet....."😅
Anyone know what happened to War Lord? loved that car when i was a kid.
Baz82 became the keystone funny car puller and Dan Patrick still has it.
Im having a hard time seeing but are the sandrails going thru the mud pit running paddle tires on the front? Id like to run mine in a mud pit
Richard Y. Yes. Some of them run chevron patterns backwards.
My childhood
I remember this video when I was a kid
haha wore out my VHS of this.
Holy shit! Its ronald reagan!1:52
Oooh, driver in cab version of Unnamed and Untamed on 35:03. Seems to be much less competitive than mid engined Untamed.
I had this VHS❤
How come the weight box on the sled is not moving forward but yet all the funny cars were bogging down at the other end of the track ? Plus this movie or tape has so many mistakes in it. But still it's a cool movie...
MJSGMC they held down the brakes on the sled
Robbie Williams ok I can see that happening. But still when the funny cars get close to the end you still see the tires spinning and the car is not going anywhere. U mean to tell me the sled operator is holding them back? Even though Jack and Judy said I can't believe we haven't had a full pull yet!
MJSGMC yes the sled has a weight box that puts weight onto the pan of the sled and the operator can apply the brakes at any time. and the exhibition classes where rigged at that time
Was that the first time ‘cash for clunkers’ was mentioned?
Now that I’m older I realize my childhood had a lot of WILD fucking shit because all the grown ups with coked the fuck out.
Sweet video. Not that I regret seeing Bigfoot whichever withthe 10’ tires but I knew it was a POS when I was like 12 it just can’t perform. Chandler had a wide scope and was super effective so not nay saying but that truck was a flop.
I think that Bob Chandler kid is going to turn out ok.
Hard to believe he's pushing 80 these days.
would you upload bigfoot king of the monster trucks
12:42 have muts trucks texas armadillo f250 ford "79" from circus vazquez hnos 3 pista in mexico the most powerful in the word.
Yeah that's what I thought to. I didn't mean to sound like a smart ass here. Sorry if I did. I have this VHS at home and I picked out a lot of mistakes.
Video is shaky
theres a flaw in the video
73 Chevy camro
Are they saying a error it's not big foot four it's big foot five
Thats actually bigfoot 4. 5 wasnt finished till right before the 1986 indy Jamboree in September.
@@RobbieWilliamsandJakobWilliams I was honestly just looking at it thinking it looked like Bigfoot #3, it appears to have more chrome on it than #4 had.
Beach boys
Illuminati at 36:54?
Ante that the truth
I got a question who the hell did Frankenstein beat in order to get into the semi finals I've never seen the truck win anything let alone do over10 mph
Wild n the young high risk jeep
Robbie Williams damn Robbie your good how's jeepers creepers going
Wild n the young alot better after North vs South this year lol I'll make sure to post some new videos of it
Robbie Williams you got it bro I'll look out for it
It was a cool looking truck but I never understood why they had it compete since it was clearly inferior to the rest.
Monster jam is way BETTER thaaaan this show
As someone who grew up on both shows today's monster jam 👎
@@darkkinggaming7988 lol waaaaaaaaaaaaaat this is why I like monster jam better because this one is too old
@@TheStupidestChannelOnEarth not exactly what I meant but ehhh now don't get me wrong monster jam is doing good these days there's just how do I put it...something missing
@@darkkinggaming7988 oh ok
@@darkkinggaming7988 Like legitimate racing? Monster Jam is all about the spectacle of freestyle, the sport of Monster truck racing peaked in the late 80's through most of the 1990s and then went downhill because of Monster Jam in my opinion. In the beginning you had USHRA that eventually led to the PENDA and TNT points series in the late 80s and 1990's. Monster Jam just doesn't have the same spirit as the early days of Monster Trucks, half the trucks don't even look like ''trucks'' anymore and are some weird shell of a cartoon or a super hero. Racing in Monster Jam just seems like an after thought while the main event is just a long freestyle session to see who can destroy their truck the most to please the audience.
Monster Jam is also to corporate, the reason Bigfoot and USA-1 refuse to participate at MJ events is because they would have to sell all rights and ownership of their trucks and merchandise to FELD motorsports who owns the MJ moniker. I'm in my early 30's and I've been going to Monster Truck shows my whole life and sometime around 2005 to 2008 there was a sharp decline in the quality of it all. The earlier shows were much more exciting to me.
Monster Jam fucking sucks now.
I love monster trucks
