Hi, i use xnview its free for windows personal use. format the jpg to 960x480 . so use any picture and make sure its that resolution. the crop and resize features on xnview are very nice. rename the jpg. boot_logo make sure you save as jpg then on the device format the sd card and shut down unit. take out sd card and insert into pc. i have a sd to micro sd adapter on my laptop i used. move the boot_logo.jpg file onto the sd card. place right on the root of the drive. dont put in any folder. now boot up android auto device and make sure on normal main screen. insert sd card. after 5-10 sec it will say boot image updated. shut down device. remove sd card and remove the boot_logo.jpg from the sd card. place sd card back into device and you should be good to go.
How did you change the opening logo?
