I'm invited to Sony's Diamond Dealer meeting at their CES 2024 suite to review the 2024 TVs. Thank you for referencing our annual TV Shootout Evaluation event! Our 2024 TV Shootout will be our 21st year since I created the event.
You so called “Shootouts” should be completely blind; cause as we’ve see from blind contests in other countries (Germany) the A95L came close to last when compared to the competition.
@@Sonola777 Thanks for the comment. Other than the ONE UA-camr you referenced, all Worldwide professional reviews, including Toms Guide and all users rate Sony's new flagship A95L Master Series QD OLED as the best TV. Vincent Theo of HDTV Test's Projector Shootout who hosts his blind evaluation event in the UK also rated the A95L the best TV. Our panel of expert judges are mostly very well respected Hollywood filmmakers and I trust them to honestly rate the TVs as they perform, in fact the results of all 20 years of our TV Shootouts the judges results perfectly match the professional calibrations results in every picture quality attribute. Also know that even if you cover the brand and model anyone can easily and quickly know each TV by seeing the menus.
@valueelectronics9390 May I ask what's up with the shift for Mini LED as Sony Bravia flagships instead of OLEDs? And what would that mean for future Sony QD-OLEDs?
Essentially the thumb nail of this video is the tech Samsung already uses called Shape Adaptive Light Control. I already have this tech in my 2022 QN900B 8K
For an ordinary smart person who is not some kind of fanatic, the best TV is the Sony A80L because it has the best UPSCALING and MOTION images. You're screwing up all the extra features that other manufacturers currently have, but that's what I said for the average viewer. When I have a TV connected to a program channel provider where the picture is worse, then SONY surpasses all the others and only Philips will be able to come close to it. What if you have a TV with HDMI 2.1 and other crap, when you don't have a good picture and that's what is MOST important about a TV, that it has a good picture and not other unnecessary crap. The sound is not important either, as you can additionally arrange this and buy a soundbar or something else, but you cannot modify the TV's PICTURE or fix it in any other way than the TV itself offers.
I purchased Sony's X95L from value electronics late last year and was surprised and totally disappointed with its back lights blooming around its screen, especially on contents with dark scenes.
Do you use subtitles? Also, did you set local dimming to high? It's supposed to be OLED like with much more brightness. The contrast ratio is 200,000. A lot of the reviewers own it as their TV of choice and they'd buy an OLED or TCL QM8 if it was bad. Are you using it in a completely dark room?
Yeah, but when is the A95L coming out in Japan? Just went to the Sony store here in Osaka and they didn’t even know what it was but just tried to push the A95K (last year’s model on me). Sad that Sony treats the Japanese market as second-rate.
Hard to be interested in Sony A95Lsince where I live it costs a hell of a lot more than the LG G3 and Samsung S95C and the Samsung is poor value too. Sony as smoking crack and want $6K for a 65" A95L in Australia, up to 2x LG prices. Same with Sony's mini-led, TCL C845 represents far better value.
No because it’s Oled, even with mini led usually when the picture is like a black screen, you can’t distinguish it from the walls around you if the room is dark
X has lost over 70% of its value as a company since Elon took it over. He's literally running it into the ground. That company won't even exist by this time next year. Elon destroyed Twitter. They never should have even sold out to him. Biggest mistake the company ever made.
sony has worst motion processing and handling in their flagship.. and ppl still gonna buy their expensive shit 😂 3 grand shit with 2 hdmi 2.1 ports only... 😂. good going.. no improvement in table tops.
You do realize that you don't even have to use that feature if you don't want to, right? It's not mandatory. You can just ignore it altogether and plug in any other streaming device you like though the HDMI ports. Problem solved.
Can't wait to see what's in store for Sony TVs in 2024!

Sony is terrible, Samsung QLED is the perfect tv with no buuuuuurn in! Also the ui is far better on Samsung TVs.
@@mrk1075Samsung UI sucks, as someone who owns a 75" QN94A QLED.

Fascinating to see how the mini-LEDs work to add more definition 😍
I always buy Sony TVs, I just wish they had more than 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs.
Such cool news. I’m really glad that Sony is fully investing in MiniLEDs.
Still not as good as QDOLED, but I guess there is a market for mini led.
@@drunkhusband6257 there is, something thats a good alternetive to oled and chepper? Perfect for a show tv thats meant to look good and endure
They are not doing it for a better picture , but for a better profit margin. Well documented.
@@SifsSwagshallow comment. Show me one company that invests in tech for any other reason than profit.

great job kate! stoked to see what else sony has up their sleeve!

I agree. Sony A80L looks the best to me in my eyes.
I purchased Sony's X95L from value electronics late last year and was surprised and totally disappointed with its back lights blooming around its screen, especially on contents with dark scenes.
Did you take it back?
@bustercolin7507 i tried to but they ignored my request.

@@techsamurai11 I don't think he owned it.
@techsamurai11 local dimming was on medium, and yes, it's in a dark room use case.
Great TV's but don't like the stands, should be central and swivel and the fact a flagship model doesn't have a headphone jack.

Hi since u seem to be a big head honcho at Sony can u please bring back PIP I refused to go to Samsung for this feature.
So do I buy the oled or wait for the mini lcd?
Qd-oled
Did you have shots with Caleb?
Saki bomb!
Sony please dont release your tvs in the fall when Samsung and LG have their flagships on sale! The competition is too fire.
Not sure where they get facts on s95 rec2020 coverage. Rtings has the samsung hitting 89% which makes sense seen as they use the same screen.
WOW 👑 SONY GOD FOREVER ✌️ #1 👑
Just imagine what the next 5 years hold and how much more affordable these will become.
Not sure about affordable part
SONY SPONSORED THIS VIDEO !!!!!!!!
Zero information compared to Digital Trends that actually did a good coverage of this. Shame
DEI paid for her trip to Japan perhaps😂
Digital Trends is awesome.
Fascinating! A video full of marketing crap from start to finish, without any real technical information about Sony tv!
did they add speakers in the front or do you have to add a soundbar

I really don't enjoy HDR with movies...it's pretty awesome with sports, but movies...I think i'ts gimmicky.
Sony tv is so incredible, in 2024 they only have 2 2.1 hdmi. So amazing
More Sony shilling going on as usual from these so called influencers 😒
If it's not rollable I don't want it.
Best OLED TV A95l 2023
Give me a break. I am a 30 year Sony XBR and Bravia and ES fan.
TCL 115" 5k NIT Mini LED will eat Sony alive. Game over.
Let’s remember Sony went woke and remover their adds from X , because the new owner is for free speech
