- A Prince William County judge has changed his mind about giving bond to a man charged with murder for a crash that killed his girlfriend and her daughter. Northern Virginia Bureau Chief Julie Carey reports.

Keep the killer in jail.
He was released.
He could’ve injured or killed the other drivers!! Zero remorse for them OR for his daughter or his girlfriend. But for the FACT he didn’t give a crap about hurting people OUTSIDE of his vehicle, he should rot in jail. He should never be given a drivers license again. He ABUSED his privilege severely- as a driver, as a boyfriend, AS A FATHER! All for his emotions.
He is not safe nor fit to be in society. A free country doesn’t mean you get to be a dirtbag.
I don’t think she was his daughter. So he probably didn’t care about her life, the child’s mother, or anyone else. He did that on purpose and should suffer the consequences🤬

It's an honor killing. The wife was obviously not a devout Muslim. She didn't wear a hijab, and neither did their daughter. The family are happy the infidel wife is dead, and they consider the death of the granddaughter acceptable because she was raised by an infidel.

You know, situations like this often happen on the road. How would you react if you only had to run left because there were cars in front of you and a high curb on the right? He wanted to overtake the car, but he was in the left-turn lane and could not get back into the straight-ahead lane.
@@GuardianW1delusional. Most people who get themselves into that situation would at least show some type of surprise. His lack of any reaction is strong evidence that he did everything intentionally, including aiming for the largest on-coming vehicle. That Honda Civic was too small a target.

I don't know how any criminal defense lawyers sleep at night. I know its required by law to do what they do, but at the end of the day, you know yourself you're trying to get a guilty person free.

Finally, the judge came to his senses and took input from actual experts, rather than from lay legal professionals, biased family of the criminal, and bleeding hearts. This judge should never have even considered bail for this defendant. This defendant is an obvious danger to society and should never see the light to day again.
Both the defendant's lawyer and family are heartless. Two people were killed and they are still saying he is innocent. How insulting!

Just like a case in the UK. Veering off motorway (freeway in the US) and driving his wife into a tree head on her side. He was convicted and sentenced for murder.
If I remember correctly, a year ago in the US a man drove his wife and two or three kids off a cliff and landed on ledge instead of in the ocean. Miracle they all survived. EDIT to add: and his wife is now claiming he was not trying to kill them, yet evidence of driving driectly off the road at a high rate of speed and no skid/brake marks state otherwise.

I think within the first week she tried to convince the police it was a misunderstanding, thankfully the police did not fall that. Too many women and children have been killed due to DV. The evidence supports her initial statements but I think she is worried about her financial future and not thier actual lives. 😢 Last I read the District Attorney is working on going to trial.

When he was trying to say that his brother couldn't possibly have threatened the corrections officer, his words were, "It doesn't make sense...why would he say ....I'm going to be found innocent only to come out and commit ANOTHER CRIME." (my emphasis)
The corrections officer didn't say anything about whether Mustafa said a word about his guilt or innocence.

In horrific crashes like this most who are in the vehicle scream or call out to God.... who states "NO! Empress is in the car." I think she knew what he was doing and tried to snap him out of it with that statement.
The video shows him running a red light in a turn lane. He did this on purpose because he floored the car instead of putting on the brakes at the red light! He's a monster.

So why didnt they post what was lip read for the 15 0r 20 seconds before the crash? Or the minute leading up to the crash? Not just the last 3 or so seconds before the crash.
I wondered about that too! It would not be too difficult to try. I need to a longer segment of it though to see if I could decipher it. it also might be possible that it could already be a crucial part of evidence for any upcoming trials because this guy is a loose cannon, and they might want him to go to prison for a long time if they find more motive.

This was not someone who was upset at what was happening in front of him and who would try frantically to change course. He was relaxed and calm because he knew the decision he had made. He did not pass like he was overtaking he took a sharp turn to put her inline of impact. See clearly how the bodies of her and daughter move left to right , his body seemed to know the direction the car would go not moving as much as the unexpected passengers. She realized immediately what his intentions were. He did not look confused, afraid or even in shock. It was most definitely intentional. The angle that he made the turn was to ensure he was out of harm way, and put her in line with impact. He did not turn car around or swing steering wheel around to avoid, or speed up so it could hit rear of car but put on slight brakes to ensure it hit exactly where he intended

I saw a photo of the wreckage; his side was barely touched but the passenger side was badly crushed. The mother had other children too and her daughter just turned 5 years old. He did this on the day of the girlfriend's mothers' birthday so now her family will have to remember that day. It was done intentionally, no doubt.

He has the right per the constitution to have it tried in a court of law and to have an attorney represent him. I don’t know how anyone *could* defend this case, which was the statement in which you’re referring to. And yes, he was maintaining 77mph, a speed at which many don’t even reach or maintain on the interstate, so to be reaching that on an incredibly busy thoroughfare is nothing short of this guy deserving less than a murder conviction. He knew what he was doing.
Also the fact that she had the mind to remind him of the child in the car leads me to believe he has terrorized her before in the car like this. She was very aware of him acting intentionaly to threaten harm/death.
His lawyer says, "it maintains the theory". So, this is all down to theory now, not the dashcam evidence? Sure.
If you can read her lips, right after she flicks her lit "ciggie", she appears to say to him, "why do you insist on fighting with me?" I can't see his answer because of the tree car scent dangling in front of him. This as he drives 77 mph and then proceeds to calmly drive into the left lane of oncoming traffic, never slowing down until he supposedly taps the brakes twice as asserted by his unscrupulous counsel. (This information I gleaned from another video focusing on "their conversation").
One thing though, I don't drive but whenever I'm in a car as a passenger whoever driving wants to change lanes or make a turn, wouldn't the driver slow down a little first? During the entire clip released to the news, it shows a steady speed of 77 mph on the dashcam.
Not only did he murder her and her daughter, but he traumatized and could have killed the other drivers too. Zero regard for anyone but himself.
