- Kevin Sherwin shares insights from his research into early recordings of the classical guitar. The selected musical samples from the early 1900's show the difference between what the score communicates and how modern guitarists often believe the music should sound. They also give us a sense of how composers including Barrios and Llobet interpreted their own works.

Very interesting, more please, including more complete performances. I like that you use a script, it's so much better for getting information across. There are a few good unscripted videos but most of us do better with a script.

Ive played guitar starting in 1964 but never learned to read music im now 69 and wondering if im to old to start learning i have books but it looks like a daunting task !
I learned to read music quite late myself. It is very rewarding to learn a piece from the sheet music, even if it takes a long time to read and understand it. Plus, it makes you a better musician and better listener when you are more aware of what notes you are playing. You can easily learn to read sheet music by yourself if you are willing to put in the time to practice.
To be honest, I did not like any of the interpretations. But it's interesting.
