I love the Etta Vee designs. I believe there are now two of them at the time of this comment (11-24). I was never a planner person and I had no idea that there was a community now. I do a lot of Bible study and I also write out the sermon notes from the two different pastors I am currently following. I use the college ruled spiral bound notebooks for the notes and I found myself needing a place to keep track of where I'm at in my studies, as well as having room to add some favorite Scriptures and prayers. I also need to keep track of life, such as doctor appointments and my monthly prescriptions, and an upcoming surgery. As an elderly woman, I can't afford to spend a great deal of money for several planners, so my choice was made primarily with my budget in mind. It's not Erin Condren, but the Happy Planner system. I'm enjoying watching all of the videos of all of the various planners and the way everyone is using theirs. I am a stationary hoarder, which I use to write my Scriptures on from each sermon lesson. I buy the various sizes of note tablets that are all decorated. They add a lot of color to my studies, which adds to the joy of my notes. My new personal planner will be filled with lots of stickers and washi tape, thanks to you ladies.
Finally figured out what to do with the Contacts page- I’m going to go room by room in my house and keep track of measurements. Room size itself, furniture sizes, paint color names, etc. I’ve been leaving that page blank for ages!
What a great video! My husband recently got me one of these for keeping track of my business and life. A big change from my five pocket notebook I usually use! This was very helpful for me to wrap my head around such a thorough planner. Thanks. :)
I absolutely love this! I just purchased my first Erin Condren planner and am super excited to get it. I have been watching lots of videos and this by far was the most helpful.
Thank you for such a comprehensive walk-through, Kristan! You have so many good ideas for using each feature. If you do re-coil one of the 18-monthers, I’d love to see a video for that. Happy Mother’s Day! 🌷
THANK YOU THANK YOU! I’ve been investing in Erin Condren for a few years (bought the binder so I feel obligated to replace). I’ve had the canvas for the past year and my inspiration has gone down but you are helping me remain inspired which I need since I invested in another one this year!
Such a great overview! First time using an EC after years with Hobonichi, but I need something just already laid out for me. Love the space also. Great ideas in here!
This was a great video. I use a monthly planner so excited to see what next year’s planner design options will be. But you gave me a great idea for the 12 box pages. I think next year I will use them as an extension of my tending list from Cultivate What Matters. Instead of trying to fill in each box when setting up my planner I think I’ll just write in my main goals for each month after filling out my tending list. May seem redundant but I find writing them more than once helps me remember them better.
At 26:19, you show the dashboard in the colorful Evolve planner. Does the neutral Canvas planner have the same dashboard? Are the colorful pages and the neutral pages exactly the same, just with or without color?
Yes pretty much! Canvas is all white, with pale grey asterisks along the top of the top left box. Are you the same Lauren that messaged me on FB by any chance? I can send you a pic there.
@@KristanKremer yes! And I just got to 34:32 and can see the dashboard now in the Canvas! I just hadn’t made it far enough since I’m watching the video as I have free time and not all at once. Thank you so much!!
I love using a matching EC medium notepad inside the front cover of my LP - it’s a jot pad for misc notes catch all. If you get the 18 month coil, remove the weeklies from July- dec following year (keep months for planning) then you’ll have enough space to get it to fit if you buy yearly at EC May release.
Thank you so much for creating this video! I have not used Erin Condren in 12 years and wanted to try it again (i've used dozens of different brands since then)... hopefully I will find planner peace this year 😂
Great video! Exactly what I needed to see right now. Does anyone know how long the 18 month planners usually stay available for purchase? Do they disappear once July gets here? I'm switching life seasons this year and trying to figure out what I now need in a planner. I'm thinking I'd like to get back into an EC Life Planner after years in an EC Monthly (and this year hopping all over the place trying to figure out what I need 🙃), but if so, I'd need the extra room that an 18 month has, and I'm trying to figure out how long I have to make my decision.😁 Thanks!
If you write in permanent marker on the dashboard besides alcohol wipes. You can also write on top of what you wrote with a wipe off marker (probably because of the alcohol in them) and hairspray works too (the cheaper the better). (Just giving cleaning options - use whichever you have)I also like the way off markers.
I never write my name on that first page i always rip it out and let that pattern page thats after it be the first page i see. i never see anyone else rip that page out

Both of these designs are beautiful. I like the monthly dashboard on the left as well

What an excellent tutorial! I will send any new planner people your way to help them use their planner to best advantage. Thank you.
I really like that they came out with the grayscale (canvas) color way because I like to decorate
What an excellent video Kristan!!
I wish July would come already! Lol I’m ready to use my planner 🫠
Same❤
Me too!!
Me too! I'm filming the setup this week so hopefully I'll get them posted soon and you can setup with me ASAP 🥰

Fantastic video!❤ especially for those just getting into planning. Or in my case, returning to Erin Condren after the rabbit hole that is Hobonichi 😂

Great question! I have asked my reps at EC and will follow up when I know the answer.
The 18 month option will go away in October 😊

I get mine personalized. I take them to meeting and want to make sure I get it back, if I forget it.
That's a great reason to get them personalized!
