  • After developing a consolidated services infrastructure, one might have thought that sky is the limit, but certainly not for Dubai. “International Space Station, this is Becky Anderson of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center in Dubai, how do you read? Becky, this is Sultan Al Neyadi from the International Space Station, I have you loud and clear.”
Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center in Dubai is part of the ambitious national space program of the United Arab Emirates - and recently, it’s been very busy - recording multiple accomplishments in quick successions.
Through international partnerships, not only has it launched multiple satellites to orbit around the earth, but it has even sent the Hope Probe to study atmosphere and climate dynamics around Mars.
In addition, Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center has been pivotal in launching local manned missions into space. Recently, two Emirati astronauts: Hazza al Mansouri and Sultan al Neyaadi became the first from the Arab world to arrive at the International Space Station.
And as the global space community prepares to return to the moon - Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center is once again at the forefront - taking responsibility to build and operate the airlock unit for the first human space station around the moon’s orbit gateway.
