Rebar should lay IN the concrete, not under it. Strangely, at 10:52 you can see the rebar supported by feet, but they’re removed before pouring.

I think the base price for the pool, 3' of concrete around it, pump, filter and light was around $37,000. As it sits, it was just north of $50,000. I added more concrete, heater, automation, deck jets, spa jets, robotic pool cleaner, some wood deck, etc.

Everything has a schedule..if the pool arrives before the hole is prepped it can be plummed before setting..but if your waiting on the pool to get there after the hole is preped then your on a time constraint as the pool must be installed within 2 days

You backfill as the pool is filling up so that you have an equalization of pressure. Fiberglass installs are significantly different than concrete or vinyl.

It wasn't cheaper. Fiberglass pools tend to use less chemicals and are easier to maintain.

It's 3.5' on the shallow end and 5.5' on the deep end. It's a pretty small pool, 27.5' x 14', approx 7000 gallons.
