JP Savage It is how the world works, things like consoles, houses, pools, furniture etc dont cost as much to make than it’s actual buying price. Most consoles cost around $100-$200 to make and usually sell for $300+. Things like ink catridges cost less than a dollar to make but sell for $8+.
Should see the house that the homeowners turned their entire back yard into an Olympian size pool. What a waste... but if you already have a small yard, why not? If you live in a hot place it would be worth it.

"scrubbing" to you is what you should do. The smoother, the less porous, thus less to coat later and less chance for water to ever get througg. The wetter the concrete stays for longer, the harder it will be later on. When you edge concrete for cracks, that isn't only a crack isolation joint, but it helps to seal the concrete and crack from water. I'd still recommend caulking it thougg
Is the fence glass panels, can you see through it? If its not I think you missed a classy opportunity. Didn't see and pool lights either. All that work might have been in vain....

I work as a clean up crew and the mess they make such as left over rock or slabs and even dried concrete and gunite add up a lot. We load it up onto wheel barrels and take it to the trailer and each pool is like close to 2 trailer loads (14 dump trailer) average load being 7,000 pounds.
Wow. Build a nice pool and then block it with an ugly fence. Building code? If so where were the inspectors through the whole process? You need a safety fence but you can build right to your property line? With all your neighbors looking down on you. As a commercial pool builder my whole life little of this makes sense. Must be nice to live somewhere so unregulated. Saves a lot of time.
It's a beautiful pool. I would have left some yard though. The mind works weird because towards the end I started smelling chlorine and the way a pool raft smells, lol.

Paint the surrounding wooden fence white, so it'll liven up the place a bit. That bland brown wooden fence makes the area look like it's from the 70's hood
