Why do they all have different accents,? Dad and son, Republic of Ireland, mother Northern Ireland , other son daughter and grandad Liverpool accents..... ?
This was where Brookside absolutely nosedived. One thing which angered a lot of fans was that they had to buy a VHS at over £10 a pop just to get the full story on Lindsey Corkhill's wedding. It angered them even more, when they bought it and it turned it to be absolute garbage. Okay, so I'll go easy from here on about the problems which caused Brookside's demise. But 1998 was _the_ year. This was when it suddenly became all about the Musgrove's and the Shadwick's. They just dumped all those new characters into the heart of the show, and never really established them before it all kicked off. Nobody cared, the audience just wasn't emotionally invested in them. I must say that I don't criticise the actors, it was purely about how the show handled their characters. They kinda ruined Max Farnham with that long term affair retcon of his character. After all those years on the show, he turned out to not be the man that the viewers had established him to be. It was hard to like him, after that.

Does anyone else think Rufus looks a bit like Joey Barton?
11:29 First appearance of Matt Musgrove. The actor passed away in 2016.
1:51:52 Is it the lack of picture quality or has Jacqui Dixon gone a bit OTT on the fake tan?
