One thing about torque and alleged power on harleys: I feel I cannot use it properly compared to a proper 4- or better 6-cylinder bikes, because you only have around 3k rpm to work with it. Under 2k they don't like it and above 5k they go limp. With a 6-cylinder you can use top gear below idle and lower gears up to the rev-limiter. That is when they are really flexible. And it keeps people nicely separated ...
Got a stage 4 kit put on my new black low rider s, all decked out in the club style, never ridden a HD and I’m starting to get pretty fkn excited about it. Taking ownership at the end of September and coming from an xr650r it’s gonna be sick!
With great power comes great ... FUN (and responsibility , to quote Spiderman 😅) ! Black , air cooled and big, this motorbike looks like Darth Vader on the street 😂 ! It's a nice bike looking classic but having all the modern safety measures ! Expensive not like Hell (23 k EUR 😢), like any HD this bike isn't just a ride - it's a declaration. Nice video like always, Alex ! Thanks for sharing with us ! Best regards to you and to all your subscribers !
Fun to hear your joy riding that Harley, (noting the sound & torque they’re famous for).👍🏻 You’re always good about finding positive aspects on most of your bike / scooter experiences. But, two hours on that Low Rider going cross country & someone would have to pry you off it because you wouldn’t be able to get off it yourself?! Of course, the other aspect would be you’re having to make fourteen gasoline stops because of that 1930’s type technology & small gas tank?! Carry on, you’re doing GREAT! Best, Rola (Oregon / USA)
Yea, the ergos are not really set up for touring but then again that's not the point of the Lowrider S, for that you have the ST, same bike but much better ergos for touring.
@@RideWithAlex Hoping @ some point in your travels (& availability?), you get to ride the Harley Heritage Classic. I’d be very interested to hear your thoughts. Best / R
In my long 20+ years riding career, a cruiser is the only style/type of bike I've never owned myself. I've have rides on few of my mate's Japanese cruiser bikes and I loved it. Maybe it's time for my cruiser, instead of new maxi scooter? /That is a rhetorical question to myself 😃/
I know it's sacrilege as a born and bred 'murican. Butt! ( Y ) I prefer other manufacturers than HD. Now that you've ridden a lowrider S, Go ahead and find you a Honda Fury or a Kawasaki Vulcan.

Curious that the two bikes in front of you were UK registered, were they all like that?
Yes, all the bikes were UK registered.

Or maybe both.
Alex you remind me of those cow boys from las Vegas Nevada

I don't think the Fury exists here, at least I've never seen one. And the Vulcan we have the Vulcan 650 with the boring parallel twin.
