Everyone how's it going hey listen I got a dish 722 KDVR and I need to transfer my movies off of the DVR I have saved to a hopper I have an external hard drive but how do I proceed to do
Are they both on your account secondly how old is the 722 because after certain year the older dish DVRs are not really compatible with the newer stuff but if they are compatible then it’s real simple you plug the external hard drive in to the 720to let it format then move all your Movies onto that external hard drive and then you should be able to transfer it to any hopper that’s on your account but it has to be on your account under your name or it won’t work and you gotta make sure that she use a western digital no more than a 2 TB because if it’s bigger than that it takes a chance of messing up your hopper USB port or will also mess up your external hard drive I don’t know why it does it but I know it does it because it messed up one of my 4 tb hard drives
I use fantom drives. The use of ext HDs to receivers ON THE SAME ACCOUNT is good to go. I have 2 different older models and a new Hopper. Still have the same account and can use the same ext drives. The account # is the encryption code for the drives. The encryption makes it so you can’t “read” the files on a computer.
So when you move to your external hard drive can you then watch on your PC? I have a recording of my daughter's graduation valedictorian speech and want to save it for the future but no reason to save if I can't watch on other devices.
As of right now it can only be watched from the hopper it was recorded from ive been looking for years to find away to copy it to some thing else hopper & direct ty use a ms dos like system
You want to make sure you using a drive that has external AC power
Do not use one that uses power from the USB port
Yup
Yo what can you use to get around this
