Diagonal scout first on a four-spawn map is just the safest option. If you find your opponent, congrats, you have the info. If you don't find them, you know they're close spawn and have a moment to prepare for fast action. From then forward, you send the scout to one of the two remaining positions, and you will always determine where your enemy is from that.
Plastered with Psi-Storm, indeed. This game was like being injected with Red Bull! Also - personally I say that Tasteless and Artosis together are the Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of eSports Rolling Stones, i.e. the very best commentator duo in this game. Their chemistry and collective knowledge of Starcraft, I find, make for very interesting and enjoyable content - no sign of hate whatsoever anywhere that I can see. GG Taste-Osis, good job!
its designed to allow zerg to sunken/block the choke w/out building a hatchery. Also, it prevents T/P players from building a early forward wall-in which could protect the large ramp of the 2nd Natural Expo. Instead they must build there wall-ins back, which protects main and 1st expo, but not the large ramp of the 2nd Expo, which is the main attack point for zerg to P/T's third base.
I used to play this game with just massing units and attack and I thought thats how the game was. But then I watch these videos and its so much tactic they use.
@Bobblefighter the Sunken Colony is there for the Zerg. The Zerg don't have to make any of their own creep: they could just use the Creep from the Colony.
I don't know why Jaedong kept throwing down the dark swarm if it was worthless against the mostly melee army I think some plagues would have been a lot better.
Taktisches Movement in absoluter perfektion. Wer SC gezoggt hat weiss wovon ich rede.Das is einfach unnormal was die da machen. Starcraft Broodwar in perfektion. Selbst die Regie kommt ja nich ma hinterher wo was auf der Map ab geht. :D
@totallyrandom02 It's all done by the zerg unit the defiler. It's called a dark swarm. It protects any units under it from ranged attacks. Only Melee units are effective under this cloud.
SC2 is definately a solid game, and don't forget that when I started playing vanilla starcraft in 97, online gaming meant nothing. I could do a CC slide so terran could mine faster lol. Point is... starcraft didn't start as THE rts powerhouse, it was tweaked slowly and carefully over many many years. I think you will see that SC2 will do the same, at least I hope. Most other RTS games won't be able to do that because of SC. Same as WoW in the MMO world, the market is cornered...
what are the names of the commentators? Theses are like the best english commentators i have ever heard. They dont sound like little kids and they know what they are saying, not too random
teranex: Queston was theres alot of mineral+ gases around the map why dont they use them. Answer: you cannot expand to one of these mineral patches without distracting/attacking your enemy to keeep his forces in front of you, if not you will be attacked from behind with storm drops scarbs etc
**spoiler 15:12 those storms are very well executed :). I have to hand it to Jaedong, he's as tenacious as ever. I really don't see many other players have the mental strength that he shows. Props to Stork, pulling this one off was great to watch. PVZ is always a little one-sided IMO.
@stevomil poor guy, scbw was so much bigger in 2005-2006 , when boxer (lim yo hwan was unstoppable) one korean tournament (SKY Proleague 2005) had the largest esports audience in world approximately 70k people watched it
The difference between BW and SC2 is that the game ends when the two players have a massive army at 200 200, but in BW, there's almost no point in a game where both players have 200 supply.
Man i wonder whats going on in Jaedongs head O_o Is he more "playing like he feels too" or does he ""count every number and plans out on every milisecond""? or both??
got to be in asain posible europe i saw it on tv when i was in Thai land not that i could understand still dope they have 24 hours a day of sc hole channle dedicated to it shits nuts
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL PEOPLE ACTUALLY PLAYED THIS BACK IN 09 ????? It looks like im in a time capsule looking at that game it looks that shitty and old. I cant believe this.Ten years after the release it was that big, ten years.
Went back and played sc1. Literally smiled the whole time I was playing. Love that game.
2018?
What an awesome game, now I wantto play sc again!
0:59 HOLY SHIT THAT'S A LOT OF PEOPLE
I wonder how bad it smells. DAMN
China
who's watching it in 2017?
TU VIEJO
2018
2019
2019
2019
this is such an amazing game.. Jaedong and Stork should come back!!
Were the casters artosis and tasteless? Wow this was a long time ago!
unbelivable game, jaedong's defence of his expansion was legendary
omg, i love this, im such a geek i know, it brings back great SC memories
Best way to learn is to watch stuff like this.

GG Taste-Osis, good job!
the archon is a mass murderer. not a serial killer.

One of the best matches I've ever seen
Who's watching this still in 2018!
I used to play this game with just massing units and attack and I thought thats how the game was. But then I watch these videos and its so much tactic they use.

@geganobo that is the map. it has a sunken colony at each entrance
epicness..we seldom get to see a game that last this long
Taktisches Movement in absoluter perfektion. Wer SC gezoggt hat weiss wovon ich rede.Das is einfach unnormal was die da machen. Starcraft Broodwar in perfektion. Selbst die Regie kommt ja nich ma hinterher wo was auf der Map ab geht. :D
Both of them show us the greatest game i've ever watched. go~Jaedong and Byung goo~!!
thanx~!!
noob of me to ask but why is there a neutral creep colony right at main expo area?
WELL 2018 i still love this game >>> i used protos all the time
my play was sorround my bases with cannons entirely and then attack
Wild how the Meta looks so different from now despite no changes to the game itself
Gotta *love tasteless and artosis* ;)
Love how the cameraman zoom in for the greasy close up.
@Nemi246 The sc game was there before dow the VIDEO GAME was released. But the actual game itself and concepts go back farther than Sc does.
@totallyrandom02 It's all done by the zerg unit the defiler. It's called a dark swarm. It protects any units under it from ranged attacks. Only Melee units are effective under this cloud.

@619videomaker the reason why sc2 is not open yet, is cuz sc1 keeps selling, when the sc1 die in the tournies, the sc2 will appear.
what are the names of the commentators? Theses are like the best english commentators i have ever heard. They dont sound like little kids and they know what they are saying, not too random
there is no zerg better than jae. even july is not so hard. he's a legend like boxer & bisu
@ Frankii3 You don't know what you're talking about. Tasteless was good back in the day and Artosis played in WCG US finals this year.
@MyMindIsMyWill Dawn of War was there before StarCraft? Dawn of War is a great game but SC was already big when DoW was released :)
I know I wouldn't. These guys have got some serious skills.
wtf? =_= howd jaedong get a sunken next to stork's gateway in the begining? and why isnt it attacking?
Incredible. Just incredible.
its interesting how engine mistakes like being able to dodge things make the game more skill determined
I dont get why Jaedong didn't expo faster? I know hes one of the greatest but he needed the 4th expo way sooner
2018???
26:38 "Jaedong is in trouble, Storks supply is double."
"This is unreal...."
Then wtf are we watching??? A dream?
@KingYelot yes, with artosis
what an enthralling game!
teranex: Queston was theres alot of mineral+ gases around the map why dont they use them. Answer: you cannot expand to one of these mineral patches without distracting/attacking your enemy to keeep his forces in front of you, if not you will be attacked from behind with storm drops scarbs etc
Starcraft 1 only released 3 patches that effected balance and the last one was in 2004
Unbelievable skills, unbelievable game!
Awesome game, well played by the two players !
I haven't heard many games by Tastosis! Sweeet.
@bobtin70 Well put! I think most of the time Stork is not the underdog though - I'm referring to commentaries other than this one.
**spoiler

@danielkirk1 you know this is starcraft one right? you know..before starcraft 2? ._.
The difference between BW and SC2 is that the game ends when the two players have a massive army at 200 200, but in BW, there's almost no point in a game where both players have 200 supply.
incredible game thx for the upload
He says but I cant remeber : /
something to do with hatcheries?
Bisu vs. Pj made me cry tears of win
are they having special rules ? Like hold lurkers ?...
Also the WCG winner was a Zergling from SK.
why is the picture quality terrible?
Those guys are awfully excited about how many people are there...
Man i wonder whats going on in Jaedongs head O_o
Is he more "playing like he feels too" or does he ""count every number and plans out on every milisecond""? or both??
why is there creep next to the protoss base?
can someone tell me how he got a sunken colony in the middle of nowhere? (Im new to starcraft)
so this is like the final FINAL match??
woah... beautiful storms by Stork
@sabesta It's the finals for a tournament, whose country deems a national pastime. They're nervous as shit.
wow
great game!!
this is some osl finals caliber game
amz play
@supermanhot7 just for ur info, dont be shocked when u play scBW, it is a very DIFFICULT game.
@epickphantasy I think you mean you are wondering not wandering and you they would worker rush you and win that is how sick their micro is.
what are the names of theses commentators?
@O2Noir tell me about it. They have no clue about current sc strategies...
@julesickdrums dude these guys have perfect starting builds, they've done em over and over again
damn yo, 2009 tastetosis? awesome!
what an amazing game!
I think overmind will choose Jaedong instead Kerrigan lol
Awesomely played game
See this match remastered is really superb, just dl from reddit via a mediafire link
@someguyhere999 they dont belong to jaedong... its a part of the map doodad
this game si love
@himethisisme best way to improve is by applying
Yeah he does look thinner these days I agree.
Does Jaedong play SC2?
I love when they do closeups of the players.. always the same blank expression with rapid eye movement. LOLLLLLL
Stork, perfect nickname for his face ^_^
One of the announcers loves storms.
These guys are good i wonder how good they will be in second?
Why can't I find this stuff on television?
Its kinda strange how the pros always scout in the right direction...
got to be in asain posible europe i saw it on tv when i was in Thai land not that i could understand still dope they have 24 hours a day of sc hole channle dedicated to it shits nuts
They said so the zerg can build sunken colonies without having to build a hatchery there first.
thax for upload this vid.
There's a reason they don't show too much of the player's screens. It is IMPOSSIBLE to follow
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL PEOPLE ACTUALLY PLAYED THIS BACK IN 09 ????? It looks like im in a time capsule looking at that game it looks that shitty and old. I cant believe this.Ten years after the release it was that big, ten years.
how stork won this? how?
his defend was a cheese with lots holes.
he didnt mine well...
he lost 4 templers in the middel of his base........ and idk.
2019?
If we talking 'bout starcraft, so Korea it is Sparta !
01:32 game start ^^
