  • Hey guys, so here's my review on the Pyzalien 2 by legendary shaper, Jon Pyzel. I Don't have too many criticisms really, the board is super fun and gets better the more you ride it. A keeper and by far the best board in my quiver at this moment.
    Conditions: 2-6 ft

    I keep my Pyzalien 2 set up as a quad and pretty much use it exclusively as my small wave board. Goes super fast as a quad in small waves.

      I tried it as a quad, but my setup was not proper. As a legitimate quad setup, The PZ2 would be great I reckon.

    What fins worked well for you? Also keep up the good work, you've got one of the most sincere surfing channels on UA-cam

      Hey mate, I appreciate the support. I enjoyed the F6 Neutrals in a medium for smaller days, and a more raked set for bigger days. I would say something like the Coffin bro fins could work great as an all round set. The John’s Johns weren’t bad either, but they felt too stiff on the smaller days for me personally if that helps 👍

    how do you feel about it vs sci fi 2.0 ? tryibg to find a user friendly board to completement my small wave board, but i love firewire construction

      I loved the sci fi 2.0, but it worked better with a bit more of a wave. I would say The Pyzalien 2 would be a better option to compliment your small wave performance, as oppose to The sci fi 2.0, but both are good options either way 👍

    how you compare p2 to xero gravety please

      Completely different shapers, Completely different boards. Both offer great features. I’d say if you’re a standard short board personality, you’d like the Xero Gravity better. If you’re more into the alternative realm of boards, and like playing around with fin setups, the Pyzalien 2 offers that performance factor but is also super easy to ride for most everyday surfers.

      I was using The Old RTM Tech 2’s in a medium, they are an Am Template. I would recommend anything with a bit more rake if that helps.

    how whould you compere it to the phantom if you tried one?

    • @jakesboardreviews
      @jakesboardreviews  Рік тому +1

      Hey mate, great question. I’d say the Phantom has a little less foam towards the tail end of the board compared to the Pyzalien 2, and it’s wide point is moved slightly more forward. Both great boards, will have to ride the phantom more to pass on more accurate information if that helps.

      which of them glides better and faster down th line.mote into carving and flowters..less top to bottem..

      @jakesboardreviews  Рік тому +2

      @@eyalpolishook6486They both glide down the line amazingly, I would say the phantom in a squash glides in 1-2 ft waves better & the Pyzalien 2 does tend to surf a bit more top to bottom than the phantom but, The Pyzalien 2 is a killer board and so is the phantom. Can’t go wrong with owning both, I would 😂👍
