Thank you so much for the easy to use chapters and links to all products in the description. It makes finding these knives on your site so easy. Keep up the great work.
Oh how I wish that that Ernie had a four-finger grip I would buy it in an instant. Who's with me I think we need an Ernie too with a four-finger grip, but everything else the exact same Edit: Igor I wish you all the most success
I'm sure I'm not the first one to say this, but I feel like pinch lock could work. The lock works by pinching a bit of metal between the back of the blade and a lock bar, plus you actuate it with a motion that is pretty similar to pinching (well, not so much on button locky implementations, but on things like the Para 3 you do).
I really like the smoke show especially the pivot. The aesthetics are great as always Ken is the goat. The pivot reminds me of the way Kyle Royer, hot blues fittings and then engraved and hammers gold into them. It’s a very similar look.
Great content as usual David. I've watched every one of your presentations this year and learnt a ton about knives----keep up the good work in 2025! Merry Christmas to you, Thomas, Seth Vietta and all those behind the scenes at KnifeCentre (Center).
I think I will call the new compression type lock shown here a Cross Lock or the Cross Button Lock. Works for me! KnifeMaker/Retired after over 47+ Years in the Craft and in association with the original R.W. (Bob) Loveless and Jim Merritt shop
Ernys and drop point need a bigger handle four finger grip I'd buy it, maybe the next one will have four finger grip plus 3.25 blade, natural green/ brown, Micarta, ti, G10 ex, don't care for knives to much bigger then 3.5 in, mostly 3/3.25 is great size for most things and get a fixed blade for Camping n Bushcraft and a cheap beater knife to beat on
Nice job, Mr. Andersen and Thomas! I think it might be a good thing to have a showcase of Rosecraft, because they have been putting out some bangers in the slipjoint realm.
Suggestion for generic compression lock: The Liton Lock, half LIner half butTON, sounds like a fancy designer name, *nice* alliteration. Heard it here first!
The Nightblade really should have a version with studs though easy enough to add aftermarket... With Sencut eating into the entry level, I really hope Civivi moves some models up into the $100-$150 range with some better materials. The jump to We is just too big.
Postage $40 to send The Demko FREREIGN to Norway, but I think you guys sent it on a donkey. 9 UPS stops so far, and it hasnt even reached the airport...lol
Squeeze Lock Contraction Lock Compaction Lock Constriction Lock Condensing Lock Or call it the CTL (? top lock) and cover most of those bases. - You're welcome.
Hey DCA and Thomas,, happy holiday... This could be the most serious question of the day. I know Civivi makes the elementum in a fixed blade variant, and kunwu makes the pulsar and the stiffy p. Are there any other companies out there that make a fixed blade counterpart to some of their more premium folders...
Cool knives, but I’m just not into the magnet flap things. I’m sure they work fine and all, but I don’t like the way it looks on the sheath itself & especially how it looks on the outside of the pants pocket . I also prefer to bury a leather sheath entirely in my pocket with such a small knife.
Hey,DCA!! Today really is Thursday!! MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and yours; also to alllll the K.C. crew. Thanks for all the grrreeeaaattt work you people do to keep this machine running smoothly!!❤❤❤👌🤌🖖✌️🤟

@Jeeper906 Aye. It's a pro show with lots of help behind the scenes as you know. Def makes top notch.
The sheath on the Straightline is a fantastic idea. Very tempted to buy based on the sheath itself.
My suggestion for a generic name for a "compression lock" - "Battle Lock" acronym BATL for the Button Actuated Top Liner lock
Love this idea! 🍻
Why not?
That is excellent, and if one of these people that know how to patent stuff don’t go ahead and do that right now they’re dummies
This is exactly what I said when they did that video asking what they should call it. They ignored my comment. I agree though it’s perfect.
Great idea
The StraightLine knives look like a home run!
Awesome to see the pocket fixed blade options expand, especially for us in Europe.
Thank You Thomas for the humor, that saved this video...
Oh how I wish that that Ernie had a four-finger grip I would buy it in an instant. Who's with me I think we need an Ernie too with a four-finger grip, but everything else the exact same
Edit: Igor I wish you all the most success
I've got the Vosteed Shilin Cutter and it is one sweet blade. Love that blade shape and the Vanchor Lock works great!
WOW WOW WOW!!!! The Straight Line knives are beautiful and the sheaths are genious.
As a Sod Buster Jr aficionado I must say that Rosecraft is a mighty fine knife. 🤘😎🤘
NICE.... Thomas your killin' me... lol

Igor was always my favorite interview at the blade shows, glad to see he is doing well!
Igor made a bad ass sheath for the edc fixed blade. Great invention that solves a real problem.
Those are some beautiful knives Igor keep up the good work brutha
I love the time you said "spiner" lock.
I like the BATLL LOCK . That was obviously a ploy for santa , but we all thought it was nice . Merry Christmas to the whole team .
Is there a way to get one of those sheaths alone? They look like a fun design
I really like the smoke show especially the pivot. The aesthetics are great as always Ken is the goat. The pivot reminds me of the way Kyle Royer, hot blues fittings and then engraved and hammers gold into them. It’s a very similar look.
This is one of the best “new knife drop” videos I’ve ever seen.
It’s like every knife in the table was designed for me 😭
Both of the newest WE knives in Flamed Ti (Tiger Stripe) are amazing. My favorite scale / handle material.
That is some fine Ken Onion work . Really NICE !
I am digging that Ally in Micarta! Love the overall profile
The blurple version of the High-Fin XL looks absolutely sweet.
Great content as usual David. I've watched every one of your presentations this year and learnt a ton about knives----keep up the good work in 2025! Merry Christmas to you, Thomas, Seth Vietta and all those behind the scenes at KnifeCentre (Center).
13:01 - I’d say a Spinal Liner Lock would be a good replacement for the phrase “Compression Lock”.
Keep up the great works fellas! Love the content.
I think I will call the new compression type lock shown here a Cross Lock or the Cross Button Lock. Works for me!
KnifeMaker/Retired after over 47+ Years in the Craft and in association with the original R.W. (Bob) Loveless and Jim Merritt shop
Vosteed Marten , Push Top Lock, Oh wait, damn that BATL is something! I still like push top lock.
Leaf lock.
Made famous by Spyderco who is famous for leaf shaped blades. How the leaf engages with the tang of the blade. Makes sense to me.
The Timberbark look like a great little skinner. Something with super high edge retention would be great!
That straight line knife sheath was pretty cool
Merry Christmas Fam!
I've started buying more vosteed and civivi knives these days. I really like their designs, quality, and prices.
Ernys and drop point need a bigger handle four finger grip I'd buy it, maybe the next one will have four finger grip plus 3.25 blade, natural green/ brown, Micarta, ti, G10 ex, don't care for knives to much bigger then 3.5 in, mostly 3/3.25 is great size for most things and get a fixed blade for Camping n Bushcraft and a cheap beater knife to beat on
Wood usually isnt my style but that photonix is so cool
Nice job, Mr. Andersen and Thomas! I think it might be a good thing to have a showcase of Rosecraft, because they have been putting out some bangers in the slipjoint realm.
Really liking the Erny from Straightline.
That high fin is dope. So is the neurohaptic.
BLT lock, Button Liner Topside
Perhaps we should call the generic Compression Lock the "Spiner Lock".
Call the lock a button liner
The "nice" counter was hilarious
Love my LT Bushcrafter HC and my condor Terrachette, any recommendations around $150 that falls in between? Something around an 8-9 inch blade?
I might finally get a pocket fixed blade because of that deep carry sheath.
That Timberbark is cool and classy it needs a nice leather sheath.
Suggestion for generic compression lock: The Liton Lock, half LIner half butTON, sounds like a fancy designer name, *nice* alliteration. Heard it here first!
Just call it the Smock lock, it was the first knife that had it and pays homage to the designer.
The Nightblade is a cooler Bugout because it's cheaper and made with better materials, but I still prefer the Dropbear geometry.
Hey DCA, which kind of knife would you recommend for a nice guy with slightly larger-than-average hands?
I like that Sencut Skarnax. It’s nice 😊
Ver NICE line up!
The Nightblade really should have a version with studs though easy enough to add aftermarket... With Sencut eating into the entry level, I really hope Civivi moves some models up into the $100-$150 range with some better materials. The jump to We is just too big.
DCA: How about calling it a variation of top lock, like the Apex Lock? Or the Arachno-Lock, as a friendly jab at Spyderco.
You missed a nice when DCA said quite nice while holding the civivi fixed blade.
I'm digging the Erny, but would like a bit of a finger groove.
DCA and Thomas- Merry Christmas my dudes!
How about pressure lock?
Postage $40 to send The Demko FREREIGN to Norway, but I think you guys sent it on a donkey. 9 UPS stops so far, and it hasnt even reached the airport...lol
Someone we all know is going to be happy Erny fixed.
Squeeze Lock
Contraction Lock
Compaction Lock
Constriction Lock
Condensing Lock
Or call it the CTL (? top lock) and cover most of those bases.
- You're welcome.
Pressure lock, push back lock, power lock, press lock, slide lock… pick one.
Nice presentation

Oh the straight line are pretty sweet
Smokes show if it had a thumb stud OMG yesss
Here’s a thought for the “compression lock” generic name. How about the “squeeze lock”?
Best Available Technology Lock!
Need to call the generic compression lock as, "The Highline Lock"
Nice video. Nice knives. Very nice. Nice.
13:10 personally, I think Top-Liner is a perfect name for it. It's a liner lock. It's on the top. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Man, you must have only had one of those, because the Smokeshow is already gone, wow.
hmmm... I could see the lock on the Marten being called a "Tab" lock or "Spine" lock.
I heard ppl call it top liner lock
@@dertodesking8379 Right, that's already a term used by Vosteed. I thought that was come up with a different name that can be used more ubiquitously.
@@samueljlarson 👍

CIVIVI Neurohaptic in XL please.
how about calling it a pressure lock?
You missed a nice on the KO knife. Think he doubled down on the nicest on that one
Nice
Button Liner Lock
Not landing on 69 nice's is such a missed opportunity.
Why not call it a hidden liner lock
You missed a "nice" on your counter.
Nice!
Presser lock
Upper Lock. You’re welcome, you can mail my checks.
For the third time this year: The Pinch Lock.
Should of made the first knife on the list inch bigger on the handle
Pression Lock
Sorry but the nightblade just looks like the big banter.
A lot of these designs seem like they cheaped out on effort
Do you have cold? Your voice sounds a bit congested.
Don't know...I fixed blade fan...
squeeze lock
Nailnick on a knife with an Axis lock makes no sense
It's because of the Dutch boys laws . They wanted to be able to carry it as well as the Americans. Anywhere in Europe.
You missed a "nice" during the smokeshow
Very nice 😅😅😅😅
Pinch lock
Hey,DCA!! Today really is Thursday!! MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and yours; also to alllll the K.C. crew. Thanks for all the grrreeeaaattt work you people do to keep this machine running smoothly!!❤❤❤👌🤌🖖✌️🤟
Nothing that you guys ship is getting here in two days
Compression lock. Simple push lock. HA
"nice" video DCA
Squeeze Lock
Drinking game with the "nice" counter? Hopefully not shots with a count of over 50!
