Hi Jess, like you I have one child in preschool and one in primary school. With the summer holidays I try and schedule all my regular clients before the holidays then they don't need to see me until after the 6 week holiday. Bit of a mad rush before and after but it works. Then throughout the holiday I use my husband's day off to book one offs or people that need footcare more often.
As for evenings I don't advertise as working evenings but if needed I will as a one off but certainly not regularly (I find it more time consuming with home life)
Keep making the videos, they are great 👍

Thank you for the tip, very helpful :) Yes I won't be advertising evenings either for the same reason. I'm sure I'll work it all out in time. Its blooming hard thought x x

Nice to see you Jess:) I agree about the lone working during winter months I wouldn't do it either as my anxiety would go through the roof.

Yes, I think I'll only do it in lighter season x x

Hi Jess, I totally understand about working late hours and dealing with the kids. Having your husband assist you is great. But if you’re a single parent you have to have a earlier cut off. I remember working with another FHP and they scheduled their services to finish the same time their kids got out of school. Being a FHP makes you flexible with time. I think it all boils down to what you want to make per day.😊 keep going Jess, your short video are still so inspiring ❤

    Hi Jess,
Love your videos, thanks so much for them! Can i just ask, when you have a client for a first time, do you automatically book them in for follow up appointments? do you have many people that want a one off appointment with you rather than continuous?
Also, would you charge the same amount for a follow up appointment as you do for an initial appointment?
    Thank you :)

Hey 👋 I always charge the same for an initial and follow up routine appointment. my specialist treatments are a different price.
With follow up appointments for first timers, it really depends on what they want going forward after I explain the importance of regular foot care from a professional, so I simply ask them that, often they say they want regular appointments. But then there are others who don't actually need regular appointments, mainly the young ones. This is why it's said that the older ones (pensioners) are our bread and butter !
I often try and book my regulars to cover the year or at least a few months in advance. X x
