Everyone making fun of this system doesn't even know why it was invented. It's so that you can take an entire load into tight space's, such as residential areas, or narrow roads. You can leave the trailer behind and only have to worry about the truck. Because there's some places that a trailer just won't fit.

Thank you. I've been driving a dump truck for the last 23 years and I've never seen anything like this. I was wondering what the purpose would be for a Triaxle like this.
they call it the bridge law. You are required to have a minimum distance between the front axle and rear axle on the trailer to haul a certain amount of weight. If you notice some trailers have a set tandem and others have whats called a spread axle setup (10' between center of axles on the trailer). With a set tandem your only allowed to put 34,000lbs on it but on a spread your allowed to put 40,000lbs. Its all about distance between axles.
@Thebestnumber24 I don't know what that is called, but it is a switch that causes the starter motor to spin the engine while the truck is in reverse gear. Pretty brillant system for backing up the truck from the ground!
i think i found my new hobby lol pretty neat for the bypass start switch leave it in revers gear and it backs up to you probably leaves the ignition off so it don't start
Well, that is exactly what is happening. When he shuts the truck off and gets out to hook up the towbar, he leaves the transmission in reverse and with a switch or a button it activates the starter motor and it turns the engine without starting the truck. Since it is still in reverse the truck backs up.
There was a Day that you got out of the truck, put it in Reverse, ran back and grabed the Drawbar and stuffed it in the hitch as you killed the Motor. We all did it but was dangerous. Good Job Mark!
Trucks like these are set up so that when the driver shuts the truck off and leaves the tranny in reverse, they can press a button or flip a switch at the back of the truck that runs the starter motor without the engine firing. That way they can line up the towbar with the hitch easier. I'm not a trucker, so I don't know what this is called, but that is how it works.
He has it in reverse gear and the switch at the back activates the starter motor without allowing the engine to start. Starter motor basically makes the truck.
That is mental! I've never come across anything like it and have lived and worked with/around trucks in both Australia and Europe. Regarding hitching back up to the drawbar, all the setups I've known from memory have involved keeping the drawbar set at the height of the ringfeeder (i.e. tow hitch) by legs or whatever when uncoupled. It is up to the driver then to reverse right up to the drawbar so that it's touching the ringfeeder on the truck and he only has to nudge it a few mil to lock it in
I'd say the pump for the hydraulics was worn out way slow...and his hooks were wore out sticking like that when he went to move the trailer box onto the truck
I trucked in Arizona many years ago and I run with other owner operators that had transfer dumps and they were pretty fast not even racing they liked to show off.

Thanks for that information as I heard the electric motor sound and really was wondering since I had never seen this before.
Nossos caminhões do Brasil eh bem mais prático né e ainda tem a caçamba q não cabe muita coisa!! Mais interessante esse vídeo. Parabéns

Awesome job “TRUCK LIFE”
I'd say the pump for the hydraulics was worn out way slow...and his hooks were wore out sticking like that when he went to move the trailer box onto the truck
I was thinking his hooks needed to get a little more worn so they would unhook easier. :p
@Hello David how are you doing
I trucked in Arizona many years ago and I run with other owner operators that had transfer dumps and they were pretty fast not even racing they liked to show off.
Proud drivers are good drivers and good drivers are proud drivers. When you've got the skills to back it up, I say showing off is just fine.
@@espeescotty You are so right they were a great bunch of guys to work with and most of them would give you the shirt off their backs if you needed help, that's been almost 40 years ago for me.
