I am a 52 year old (supposedly) grown up man who is brought to tears over and over again by Evan Stephens Hall. Amazing.
Glad Pinegrove is back. So fresh and original. 2020 might not be so bad after all.
(Edit:shoulda knocked on wood)
May want to revise that statement... hah..
this comment aged well...
What. Have. You. Done!
You did this.
your fault
young songwriters out there take note -- DYNAMICS
The production for this session is so crisp and good ugh
His shift in vocals at 1:30 is seamless.
Sublime.
His guitar sounds so rich
Exactly what I needed this morning, T H A N K ✨ Y O U
This is like dashboard confessional meets jason isbell
Man that guitar sounds great......as does the rest of it.
Anybody tab this out?
they have it tabbed out on their website!
Yeah check out Pinetabs
this song is impossible
you'll get it eventually! It's all about the feeling and the dynamics.
@@UrsaMoony I picked it up, now I’m learning moment. Arguably harder lol
I can’t get it
Hope this stays hidden. Just between us.
this are some of the most wack chords I've ever seen in my life
Those are simple chords. Seems wack, because of the Drop D tuning.
@@hollikistvanfodrasza6937 Lots of extensions, suspensions, and clustered intervals happening in there.. Not to mention the voicings are all perfectly thought out.
it may sound melodic and smooth all the way through, but that's just because of how freaking good the composition is. Definitely not "simple" by the standards of most strummers.
@@Not_what_it_used_to_be I feel like it is just overcomplicated for no reason.
Anorexiás NémethSzilárd if this song had simple chords it wouldn't be half as colorful so I'm going to strongly disagree with that opinion.
it's Americana type chords, aka open, bright, and easy to play. It's definitely intentional with this twangy vibe they got going on
